  1. Here's the trailer for Solasta II. I'm stoked for this game

  2. I've always wanted to play as Roche, where instead of choosing to level up and use various Signs, you would level up and use various expletives and insults.

  3. 35 hours in PoE2, with 3 different characters. A bit disappointed with it. It's basically just PoE1, but made way slower and with more dodgeroll. The gameplay seems like it was made more varied at the start, but in the end I still found myself just spamming one skill all the time. Not that I'm at "the end", I'm at the boss of act2 and find myself bored with the game. Feel like playing PoE1, which for all it's faults is at least faster paced. So instead of spamming your one attack skill in an area for 2 hours, you do it for 10mins and then move to the next. EDIT: Path of Exile 2, that is.

  4. Patch notes: "12 new Force swords were added to the game" I think they meant to type: 12 Force swords were added to the game. If I remember correctly, you could find a grand total of 1 Force sword from loot

  5. Thank you for the insight. I suppose, if there is no GOG version in a few months, I am going to wait at least for a sale on Steam. Then again, I love Obsidian’s art and would rather prefer them to avoid the same fate as Arkane and Tango Gameworks. Complicated. Thank you very much for the link! I did not think that such a specific mod existed. Definitely will install for the next playthrough.

  6. I always thought the Ciri portions needed more time to really pay off. you weren't even allowed to use the inventory playing as Ciri.

  7. Oh, also, if you'd like to not see all those logo intros starting the Indy game steamapps\common\The Great Circle\base\video\boot_sequence Rename the file in there. Depending on your PC you may see the loading shaders text line (those logos are like load screens, these days) for 1/4 of a second but then you're in game manu. I don't care about the time saved, it's more my ears saved. Can we please make the game volume control slider ALSO affect the crashing logos "TADAAAA" audio?

  8. No, very unlikely. Which sucks. I don't think there are any Microsoft-published games on GOG whatsoever, same with Obsidian's games since the acquisition. (Post-MS-acquisition TOW was released on GOG but was published by Private Division.) Yeah I hated that too... check this out if you haven't: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/469

  9. I will always support GOG release, as it is my platflorm of choice when buying. I doubt we will get any confirmation if the game does or doesn't come to GOG until it does. Historically, I found devs to be very cagey about GOG releases even if it turns out the release is days away - I had situations when when asked about GOG I got "we have no plans to release on others platforms" reply, only to buy the game on steam, and than few days later the game releases on GOG. I don't know what's the deal - my guess would be that GOG wants to synchronise release announcement to maximise eyeballs and sales, or perhaps something else is preventing devs from talking about their future plans - but in general, I found that unless game is on GOG, I can never get a comfirmation if there are any plans to release the game there. Eitherway, due to its consumer friendly policies, I don't expect GOG release anytime soon. My plan is to play Avowed through gamepass, and perhaps pick it up sometime later on sale, like I did with Outer Worlds.

  10. That outro/the ending credits certainly have an undertone of, well, loss, I would say. I don't know if it references anything in the original series or the OVA, but by the imagery in the scene there are a few things that work. Loss of herself or her identity, loss of her alternate identity after growing up, loss of her family, or a more general loss of youth and childhood or innocence (like in the Minako-centric episodes of Sailor Moon where she wonders if being a Sailor Guardian is worth losing your hopes, dreams and teenage years over). It seems like it would make sense in a series that is basically about a really young girl having the power to transform into a teenage magician who is the star of her family's magic outfit. Perhaps she's lost the ability to transform in the ending scene where she's just sitting in her room staring - presumably vapidly - into nothing. A thousand yard stare after the loss of her ability (that she suddenly seems to morph back into her red-haired self while looking the same as her teenage magical variant seems to hint at that, at least) ruined her family, a steep fall from fame and fortune. With their family's savings gone and no future, her father commited suicide, leading to her mother having a broken heart and mind, and losing the brother to addiction and crime. She's blaming herself, wondering where it went wrong, and pining for happier times.
