  2. So first of all, "ANOTHER WAVE" is seared into my brain from DA2 and I think the combat in that game is some of the worst I've played, if not THE worst. While both Owlfinders have some serious issues with their combat, they are nowhere near that level of unpleasant. Secondly, I am a very weird guy who likes both incomprehensible high brow and nostalgia-bait low brow, so I've got no room to **** on anyone's preferences. I've put in a lot of time to WotR so clearly they did something right, and here I am still planning on doing a whopping six runs of WotR after the last DLC drops. But for me at least, the way Larian both had consistently solid combat encounters and engaging non-combat gameplay really knocked down WotR, because WotR is almost exclusively combat focused and still doesn't particularly well.
  3. Because it only creates extreme weather ...and the last time we used it we had to send a team to the center of the Earth to restart the core.
  4. State of Palestine is member of ICC. Them failing to arrest Hamas leaders in question could cause issues when they try to get international recognition.
  5. This is another "anthology of lore" episode, looking at four of screen adventures seen in Pillars1. Here for any interested. https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/worldofeora/episodes/Ep--97-The-Grand-Adventures-Pt--I-of-Caed-Nua-e2jodki
  6. Absolutely, both sides are very butthurt about getting issued with expected ICC warrants Its not like anyone's going to get arrested because they will avoid going to ICC countries but its symbolic and none of the 5 people can travel to many countries that include the EU
  7. I have not committed murder today. Heading to an art fair and apparently the company the art gallery had transport the artwork, managed to break the glass on all frames. It looks like a €450 damage. Obviously they hadn't insured it. There is a slight chance the person who made the frame had left a slightly too large gap for the glass, allowing it to vibrate too much. My experience with transport companies is though that if in doubt, it is they who messed up. After all, when I moved to the new apartment, the company my parents had hired then, snapped the legs of my desk in half, wrapped them together with tape, to better fit in the truck...
  8. Found some time on the train today to continue my slog through Children of Ruin. I'll finish the book eventually, but it is not filling me with desire to read the third book once I am done.
  9. Caught Ghosted on Apple TV. It's, hmm, an odd one. On a lot of levels it works, its a servicable popcorn blend of awkward comedy and action with Chris Evans slightly needy joe normal who has a spectacular one day date with Ana de Armas enigmatic "book curator", decides to travel to London for a surprise romantic moment only to get kidnapped and the reveal she's actually a spy. Throw in a bout of confused identities where all the bad guys think he's actually her infamous spy rep and it spirals along. A little silly, a little entertaining. Full of surprise little cameos and faces you know, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, John Cho, Ryan Reynolds, among others. But oddly let down by a lack of chemistry between Chris and Ana. They work it, but you don't seem to have that magic sparkle.
  10. Nova explosion visible to the naked eye expected any day now | Ars Technica Soon.
  11. Turns out, Necromunda Hired Gun let's you replay old levels, so you can go and search for things you missed and you can go back with a grappling hook, so you don't need to do the super tricky jumps.
  12. So in otherworldly dude jut said kotor is dog trash and mid at best. If I have to observe my video games like a job it's not a game anymore. It's trash. Both kotor are trash games. I'm jut upset icat refund it with a switch. L game and entire fan base are brainrotted
  13. Maybe they're trying to poach talent from CD Projekt. And if that is the case I would be rather angry about it, because I'd much, MUCH rather have CD Projekt's games than Larian's games.
  14. https://www.anews.com.tr/middle-east/2024/05/21/hamas-calls-out-icc-for-equating-executioner-with-victim No its not about their losses, they outraged because the ICC issued them with warrants " Hamas has criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) for "equating the executioner with the victim" after it sought arrest warrants for leaders of the Palestinian resistance group. In a statement on Telegram on Monday, Hamas requested the ICC to issue arrest warrants for all Israeli war criminals and cancel those against the Palestinian group "
  15. I dont think Hamas is playing the victim over their losses, I think they are referring to the mountain of dead Palestinian civilians.
  16. If Avowed+The Outer Worlds 2 are gonna underperform, MS will delegate Obsidian to do Fallout franchise product for eternity anyway -- and inXile to handle the spinoffs and crossovers. Just think about it: Fallout: Beverly Hills. Fallout: Shanghai. Fallout: Escape From New York. Fallout: Cyrodiil. Fallout: Vault 1. The demand is obviously there, right now more than ever due to the show. But kids that were made when Bethesda gave birth to the the last main game are close to finishing elementary school. And cycles like that aren't going to come down, at least on the blockbusting tier. That is, unless every company expands to have a thousand employees -- Starfield was started in 2015. It's not their, pardon me, vault! Off-topic: I can totally see the attraction of people like Raphael Colantonio (CEO and founder of Arkane Studios) leaving that market and starting anew with a smaller company doing smaller games...
  17. I completed EOB3 after about 30 hours I enjoyed it more than EOB2, the game started off terrible but it gets better as you progress. In the beginning you start off hacking trees in the forest and I thought " this is not fun" but once you get to the main dungeons it really improves. And there was a real problem with my sound on an early dungeon level. The background noise was this constant ringing but that seemed to go away once I left the level but it was so annoying I nearly stopped playing and disabling the sound ruins immersion But what I appreciated is there were tips to puzzles and you could basically find everything you needed on the same level, you just needed to explore which is fine. The combat felt unbalanced at times, most enemies you could defeat easily except for earth elementals and these iron scorpions called Scaladars. The game has some improved features that help in combat where you can configure your whole party to attack at once and if you using long weapons like a Pole Arm then you party in the second row can attack without missile weapons. And this makes a noticeable difference The game design did a job of providing you with several "healing oasis " if you dont have a healer and it also allowed some strategic NPC to join your party which made a difference to my overall combat effectiveness The final battle with the Dark God was incredibly easy, I defeated him the first time with no save scumming and I was expecting another EOB2 Dran battle but it wasnt like that. I just moved away from him when he cast spells and I killed him after about 4-5 rounds EOB3 gets a well deserved 62/100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system" and its worth playing I have now played the whole EOB series and EOB1 was my preferred game because it captures the overall classic dungeon explorer experience in the best way I am going to have my normal genre break from these classic SSI games but the games I will play next from a Gold Box perspective is going to be Forgotten Realms Collection 2 which includes the Pools of Radiance and other similar games
  18. https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/hamas-denounces-icc-prosecutor-accusing-equate-victim-executioner-110397990#:~:text=Interest Successfully Added-,Hamas denounces ICC prosecutor%2C accusing him of trying to 'equate, the victim with the executioner'&text=Catch up on the developing, the victim with the executioner.' Talking about US and Israeli outrage about the ICC warrants, Hamas is outraged because " Hamas denounces ICC prosecutor, accusing him of trying to 'equate the victim with the executioner." Can you imagine making a serious argument where a terrorist organisation goes on a mass killing spree and " they the victims " in respects to the ICC applying for a warrant Only in the modern world we live in which is ubiquitous with selective and inconsistent outrage

  20. Great news, nice for Poland and good news about Larians financial status and future growth
  21. Thats really interesting, this is the type of scientific research that feeds the inane and selective conspiracy theories about " the US can control the weather " and if its not the US then its the deep state\Jews\CIA it just depends on a persons bias or the type of conspiracy theory And Im not joking about this, I have heard in South Africa that view and you would assume people would ask " why doesn't the US just use this machine to ensure it doesn't have extreme weather "
  22. Im also surprised they took so long to issue\apply for warrants for Hamas leadership, you would have assumed they would have applied for the warrants much quicker considering the immediate crimes that were committed on 7 October that are indisputable apart from the deliberate mass murder of Israeli citizens. The taking of hostages is a war crime so why the delay from the ICC? Anyway better late than never, I wonder if Hamas or the Palestinians are going to enforce the warrant on the 3 x Hamas leaders because Gaza falls under ICC jurisdiction?
  23. I find this bug may happen if you go underwater with your pet and die several times. It's seems like when die in water, pets have chance to disconnect from player(can't see pet icon in inventory page but still can see in game). If player can find back their pet and reconnect it then everything is ok. But there's a high chance pet will stuck in object due to the serious module bug in present version. In this case, player will permanently lose their pets unless reload data before dead and lost connect with pets. I find this after losing my black and fire ant baby and several materials. Hope fix this soon
