  2. What exactly does the omni tool and scab 2 customiser do? I've done them but as far as I can tell it's aesthetics only? Which you can't really see with some armour.

  4. The need to wake up by myself coincided with me having a phone so I never used a wrist watch to wake up.
  5. Closest estimate I could find. On Youtube, you always find people uploading stuff, I typed "Avowed + i7 8750H". Both of your parts are newer and a tad better. By the way, some devs may consider renaming "low" settings to "efficient". Back on Crysis, picking low was an off-button for shadows, lighting, geometry detail, whatever you picked. Devs in general got a lot better with scaling, so that even on lower settings, the desired image is usually still there. Plus: Digital Foundry often run the comparisons. Sometimes, medium is above console image quality, sometimes below. And occasionally, like in Indiana Jones, the RT lighting on Series X is more simple than on PC even when the setting is put to "low". I'm glad that in the past ~15 years, I was mostly using lower end-ish hardware (CRPGs et all rarely release as blockbuster games). Even when I upgraded to the 1050 Ti for Dishonored 2, it immediately tanked to sub 40 fps in the most demanding scenes on med settings (Machine House Entry, A Crack In The Slab with its time travel and multiple levels being rendered simultaneously). Actually, I'm currently trying an FPS lock in the driver settings to check how low I could go and still find fun. Why? I want to keep the 3060 and build a new machine only once the PS6 and its specs are out -- the PS6 is gonna be the base platform for AAAA games until at least the mid 2030s. Plus, 60 to 40 fps is a difference of 50% in extra performance needed for instance -- and that's way more than a generational upgrade brings today. Your 3070 was released in 2020. It's taken half a decade for the **60/Ti series to get (slightly) ahead. By the way, 5060Ti/9060XT levels of performance are what's roughly build inside the PS5 Pro. Base PS5 experience is closer to a ~RX 6700 (non-XT). And Monster Hunter Wilds ain't that stable even on consoles as well. Seems like Resident Evil's RE Engine was never built with vast open spaces in mind, and brute forcing it is rather not ideal (see also Dragon's Dogma 2). All Resident Evil games since 7 themselves have been rather very light on the hardware...
  6. Hard to use the bow “late-game,” when my kills don’t count and I am unable to acquire the sharpshooter mutation. Hasn’t budged from 10/40 kills with the bow.
  7. https://united24media.com/war-in-ukraine/what-are-the-new-us-eram-missiles-ukraine-just-got-that-threaten-every-russian-base-400-km-away-11024 The US has approved the sale of new ERAM missiles to Ukraine. Good news for Ukraine and its defense against the Russian invasion "ERAM is essentially a hybrid between a cruise missile and a bomb. It has a strike range of 240 to over 400 kilometers (150-250 miles). Ukraine has only a limited number of comparable long-range strike systems, notably the Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles and domestically produced drone missiles. The delivery of a large batch of additional missiles will further strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capabilities. To reach distances of up to 400 kilometers, ERAM is equipped with an engine with a flight speed exceeding 700 km/h. Known technical specifications include: Approximate range: 463 km (288 miles) Flight speed: at least 763 km/h (475 mph) Accuracy: within 10 meters (33 feet) Weight: around 227 kg (500 pounds) The weapon was designed as simply as possible to ensure it can be launched from Ukraine’s existing platforms—specifically, aircraft. It can also be equipped with additional systems, including the Quicksink guidance head. With a range of 400 kilometers, ERAM dramatically expands the list of potential military targets for Ukrainian aviation, both inside Ukraine and on Russian territory. Within reach are all occupied territories and Crimea, allowing Ukraine to strike Russian military personnel concentrations, depots, railway infrastructure, supply routes, as well as air defenses and radar systems. Airfields and Shahed drone launch sites would also be vulnerable. "
  8. I am not particularly immersed in what is demanding and what is not. What I am interested is if a game can run well enough on my PC to be enjoyable play. Dark Ages is the first game I tried and decided it is not worth to play on my current PC, even on lowered settings. I would probably pushed through years ago, but after playing for couple years action games with 60plus FPS, I just don't find it enjoyable to struggle through an action game while dealing with unstable framerate Edit. Well, also there was Monster Hunter: Wilds demo, but from what I understand it doesn't run well no matter the specs. Also after sinking quite a few hours into MH:World I can confidently say it is just not series for me.
  9. Hey guys I'm new here but I just wanted to chime in a idea I was pondering. I love grounded and I been a fan of the game since the first grounded was early access. I think you guys should include crayons in the game. Hear me out. You have an area that allows you to customize the equipment for the characters but I think it should be pushed forward. Crayons should be in a specific area and should be able to be collected. Once collected you should be able to melt them into a wax form and change the color of your armor and weapons! Imagine the sizzle blade being purple or even green! It may seem tedious but think how many players would do this especially to stand out as a group online playing with friends. The scorching orb could even change in color too. Maybe the buildings as well? An all black home base or pink lol . Just an idea but thanks for reading it .
  10. I would be surprised if it didn't run, but sure, it's possible. Of course, performance isn't going to be amazing, but I'd wager both Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 should be playable on your rig.
  11. Intel i7 8750H (the Turbo Mode is disabled due to overheating), Nvidia RTX 2070, Win 10 with DirectX 12.1. The Avowed minimum system requirements are: OS: Windows 10/11 with updates Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel i5-8400 Memory: 16 GB RAM Graphics: AMD RX 5700 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / Intel Arc A580 DirectX: Version 12 Storage: 75 GB available space Which means it may or may not run, as the CPU and the OS version can easily be unsupported. While the 75GB download size means that I will not try any time soon. For the last part, my point of comparison is Steelrising - there were 26GB of the game and 40GB of junk that are unusable textures. It was kind of the developer to at least put them in one file, so I could easily remove them, yet I should not have to download them in the first place. --- https://itch.io/b/3171/game-devs-of-color-support-bundle There are at least a few game sthere from my wishlist (which I probably repurchase on Steam/GOG if I end up liking them enough).
  12. Most of the time when i wake up/am woken up, I am immediately too awake to go back to sleep. Although as I get older, it's become a little less "immediately jump out of bed, brain full-on" and more "sit up blinking for a minute then pull myself out of bed while trying not to trip/fall down." When I first met hubby, he'd wake up quick and only hit the snooze button a couple times. By the time he was early 30's, the alarm often didn't wake him up until it had been going off for 10+ minutes, until I'd hit him to turn it off, and then the snooze button cycle. Since I almost never use my "smartphone" I still barely know how to do anything with it outside of take a picture.
  13. I'm curious about your decision for the Level 3 spell mastery. What's the reason not to pick returning storm ? Is the super long cast time the issue that makes you only cast it in longer fights ?
  14. Like 3-4 weeks ago, I discovered that my iPhone has whats called "standby mode". When its connected to a wireless charger, and rotated 90 degrees, then the screen changes to a clock and a widget. So I moved my normal alarm clock down to the living room just for a time display. My wife will hit the snooze button like crazy and I ask her why she doesnt just set the alarm for later rather than snoozing every 9 minutes but she just shrugs.
  15. Only if it isn't commercial, but is marked as gift and still it may not go through
  16. Do you guys use your phone as the alarm clock these days? I still find the quartz clock super loud beeping that gets faster and faster or the 'big ben" firebell alarm to be best for waking you up. Y'know, the sort that can be heard down the hallway into the living room. Music/the radio has never worked for me. Digital sounds through speakers also not great, for me. Of course, actually getting up and not flopping back onto your pillow is another matter. My husband annoyed me with one hour of blasting radio music or beepbeepbeep snooze-alarming, every single morning, for many many years. That on top of his 80-100decibel snoring (made my ears ring sometimes) eventually chased me out of sleeping in the same bed. I've slept so much deeper/better since. Pffft.
  17. The issue then comes when you start spontaneously waking up without setting the alarm.
  18. Btw, I'm not ticked re: BL4's requirements vs. my personal hardware. I'm barely interested in the game, really. I'm just tired of all these games thinking they have to up the ante (usually this means graphix-tech) when there isn't really much reason to do so for the game/series. I mean sure, if a dev wants to make a super fancy showcase, they can do that/some games are meant for that. But I see no reason for BL4 to have that min. requirement (could've been a gtx 9xx min, say). I'm guessing that min. is because of RT that maybe you can't entirely turn off - I looked it up, BL4 will "feature ray tracing." (sigh) Nvidia's BL4 "showcase" video is showing/claiming 200+ fps, meaning without DLSS4/frame generation it's likely many are going to have poor - or at least not the desired - performance, since, y'know, most people don't even have a 50xx. Edit: that said the showcase video is pure marketing bull, since they don't even tell you what gpu or original resolution they're using to get those frame-generation fps.
  19. At least items worth less than 100 Euro will still be sent so that means letters (who still sends letters???) That's a positive at least
  20. According to the rumor mill, Trump is deadly ill with maybe congestive heart failure and may only have 6-12 months to live! ......I can only dream. ......he doesn't seem particularly healthy recently but he might still make his term. His age, his past/present lifestyle, who bloody knows.
  21. Watched 1st episode of Butterfly, on Prime. I thought, for some reason, that it was going to be an action k-drama, but apparently US. I think it's kind of a spy/assassin group thriller or something. That 1st episode did nothing to make me want to watch a 2nd. It's not that it's terrible, but I felt tossed into action with zero chr. notions outside of "some man wants/thinks he has to rescue his daughter from an organization, who may not need/want to be rescued from said organization since she seems to enjoy her assassination job." eg, I had no reason to care either way. I suppose the 2nd episode might explain background/history but like I said, it didn't make me care enough to find out. Also, it's mostly in English but the way they dealt with Korean speaking moments was annoying. A couple lines in Korean w/subtitles, then suddenly a couple lines in English, then back to Korean. I guess that was so ppl who don't like subtitles don't have to read as many subtitles? It was lame. The action-y stuff was ok I guess.
  22. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2025/aug/25/postal-services-in-europe-suspend-parcel-shipments-to-us-amid-uncertainty-over-tariffs It seems that our wise rulers forgot something and now new rules or maybe better say lack or rules block all small trade from EU to USA
  23. I had always assumed that scent was part of how the red ant armor in Grounded 1 or the red ant Buggy in Grounded 2 worked so I like your idea of being able to make termites (and maybe some other insects) docile via scent. I don’t know that we should be able to make the scent item before we have completed the associated lab/dungeon/hill/mound. (I’m leaning more towards whatever we use for scent being more like a smoothie that wears off than like a trinket.) The red ant buggy makes several of the ant hills we explore very easy. I’d like other areas to at least be a challenge the first time through. I’m OK with them becoming easier when you’re going back through just to farm items.
  24. I like the idea of being able to plant them for defense… but I wanna go a Sims route and make them a tad sentient and problematic. If we remember to feed them they only attack aggressive insects. If we forget… they might chew on us a bit. Might munch on (but spit out) a passing buggy.
  25. Heh, I use that "submarine crash dive" alarm and its quite effective. 99% of the time I spontaneously wake up just before the alarm.
  26. Other than broodmothers everywhere I am on board with the suggestions. Now if you mean they have lairs they stay in for each area, fine. That matches Grounded 1 actually as the broodmother’s den was in an early level area. But free roaming… The current area we are playing in is supposed to be the beginning area. Free roaming Broodmothers are not beginner friendly. On anything but Whoa! Mode… that’s kind of mean to new/casual players. Maybe later in the story something can trigger broodmothers in the starting areas the way hornets were in Grounded 1. I have no objections to them being roaming in later areas.
