If you're wondering why I cannot be bothered arguing with you, this is the reason. Happens every time. It's obvious to anyone that isn't being willfully obtuse that you've decided to take that, well, out of context, as a single line. Big difference, in this case it's as a deliberate effort to obfuscate. To remind you, and far more effort than you deserve: This was the post I made immediately beforehand, and which you took issue with. The context of the list is establishing a pattern, the quotes were taken from what every source agrees is where the authors' 'important facts' (/opinions) are located and thus establish that. All you have done is suggest I do things that actually would be stupid. Like do a general search- iran + protests, lest we forget- for establishing a pattern about a specific person. Literally the only reason you want me to do that is because it would be stupid and let you 'win'. Firefighter, extinguish thine own pants. Literal lol. No, merely getting coverage doesn't mean he's getting embiggened. It's the disproportionately positive coverage that shows the embiggening. Hence the quotes you've spent the past week objecting to. Sheesh man. If you're wondering why I cannot be bothered expending any actual effort on you, this is the reason. Happens every time. (for extra lol, the al jazeera article I originally linked to did mention a bunch of other Iranian opposition figures. ho hum)

The All Things Political Topic - world tidings
Hurlshort replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'm glad to hear impeachment calls are starting to come out for Kristi Noem. I mean she is just throwing around the domestic terrorist label at every protester in the country, so maybe she isn't fit to be the director of Homeland Security. I'd imagine messing up her coffee order can get you on a watchlist. -

Whew, won by the skin of their teeth. It's always a battle against the Rams.
-
the point is to trigger the libs. if you comment, then they laugh at you being owned. maga exists because trump gave people an outlet for their outrage and grievance. maga doesn't need grocery prices lowered or reasonable health care anywhere near as much as they want their neighbor's cow to die and for libs to be owned. HA! Good Fun!

dementedgames2027 started following KB+M/Gamepad

So I decided to try playing G2 on the couch with a controller! This in turn actually broke my entire game as the second I wanted to switch back to my KB+M only the keyboard worked as expected. My mouse is now being detected as a gamepad can we get some kind of fix for this as literally nothing works short of a full reinstall which is absolutely ridiculous to do over something that unreal should already have built in. Sorry if I sound angry but I've spent 2 got danged hours trying to get it working. I've been able to get it happening again on my main pc via just turning on the controller using it at all then trying to use the mouse.

possible more terrible than when we first began recommending boardies read fox story comments more than five years past, the maga movement has shifted distinctly... we were 'bout to say "right," but the truth is the direction taken is unhinged. fox remains the most popular news source for the US populace. period. however, much o' maga and other trump supporters consider fox too woke. most candice owns and nick fuentes content is too extreme for fox. benny johnson and matt walsh is fact-free and controversial enough so that their being given regular gigs on fox is current impossible. and, God help us, am wondering how many young trump voters is more influenced by the tate brothers than brett baier. in 2026, fox is the relative safe space for people attempting to gauge what maga believes as 'posed to what might be gleaned from polls. even so, at least once a week, or whenever something terrible happens (daily?) we go to fox and read stories. we then scroll through the comments following those stories to see how the issues is resonating with people who follow news at the country's most popular news outlet. disquieting. npr and pbs stories is all fake news and anybody who quotes those sources is sheeple... though am suspecting sheeple is now a boomer shibboleth. anybody know what is the genz version o' sheeple? HA! Good Fun!

pants on fire "And on Pahlavi, taking the first ten search engine results for reza pahlavi (exc wikipedia/ brittanica and revapahlavi.org) over the past four days," followed by a list o' quotes. that ain't context and it is all you said. well, the underlined part is true. he is getting almost no meaningful coverage whatsoever. iran+protests yields no pahlavi returns for lede or headline from the first 120 results. even when iranian tv gots shut down by hackers who support him, or when he gave an hour long news conferences, you wouldn't know about such unless you were active already looking for pahlavi. furthermore, fact that pahlavi is the only opposition leader who has received appreciable coverage doesn't mean he is getting the "embiggen" treatment from western media. after all, pahlavi is the only opposition leader getting appreciable coverage from non-wester media as well. duh. as already observed, as with blm and hong kong, these movements don't need leaders. pahalavi gets coverage (dwindling and pathetic as 'posed to an effort to embiggen,) 'cause there aren't other options. the coverage he is getting (as evidenced in the articles you failed to link and attribute) is equivocal and ambivalent about pahlavi's real relevance to the current iranian movement, a reality you purposeful and deceitful ignored... a fact apparent if you bothered to read the articles you generated with your search. so, lazy or liar? and around we go. HA! coming from the clown who has been focused on your idiotic (and objective wrong) lede and summary definitions schtick for how many posts? serious, this is always entertaining, even if the returns diminish quick. HA! Good Fun!

It's more of an inevitable than a predictable. Doesn't even really need to be conservative though, at least as a political designation. To whit: centrist darling Emmanuel Macron and his approach after the 2024 French elections. He pretty clearly would have preferred to work with the far right over the left, if he had to work with one.
-
You were given the context. Saying you weren't doesn't change that. Again, that is how you indicate a trend; it's not by cherry picking results nor by doing a general search for, lol, iran + protests. The trend about Pahlavi's coverage is clear as it's also clear that he's the only Iranian opposition leader that has had any appreciable coverage at all. I cannot say I'm surprised that you don't know how to indicate a trend though, given our previous interactions. It's not particularly rigorous but it's easily replicable- and to be blunt, you simply aren't worth the effort required for proper rigour nor for quoting of ten fricking articles. Whatever is provided I know you'd just go off on a tangent and end up repeating the same thing over and over in the hope I'll give up; so it's a waste of time.

Thinking about starting Black Company or Broken Earth. Also want to get this https://www.dragonsteelbooks.com/collections/leatherbound-books/products/the-eye-of-the-world-leatherbound. But I don't want to pay something like 350 euros for it... Need to find a mule to get it to me from the US. -

Finished the Bane trilogy, decent enough Star Wars books. Some Kotor DS like edginess, but the girl getting her cousin killed was a twist I admittedly didn't expect -was expecting him to be a redeemer in the final book. Big body count as well -
Second mini arc starts with Frieren beeing in a rather uncharacteristic hurry, rushing through shopping and skipping magic stores entirely to get out of the city (poor Stark!) The local nobility has a problem hanging on to their family heirloom, a sword that once belonged to a famous demon. Now it has been stolen for the second time in only a handful of generations and Count Dach asks Frieren to help him hunt down the demon thief and retrieve the sword. Frieren reluctantly agrees (the reason she was in such a hurry was to avoid the count, as she seems to have some resentment towards noblemen) They track the demon by following the trail of devastation. Bloodied apples and wrecked merchant carts, wrecked villages... No corpses anywhere though, as demons have a weird preference for human flesh (maybe it tastes like chicken?) A brief but hectic fight scene ensues. The demon may be alone, but she moves very fast and dodges incoming magic attacks Stark steps between the demon and Fern, and with a powerful kick to the stomach sends the demon flying backwards... With the physical separation between the Demon and then Stark and Fern, it's time for Frieren to carpet bomb the area to force the Demon to stay put I see a bright light... might as well have been the oncoming express train One tactical nuke later and it's over Followed by musings by Frieren on the nature of demons and their obsession with showing off when they get new toys, as well as human weaknesses when it comes to desire, temptation and impulses. Demons like to go on a rampage to show off newfound strength (like when stealing fancy swords) In the end though, she thought the whole thing worth it, as the count gave a her a grimoire with a spell she didn't have

Frieren season 2, episode 2. Like several episodes in season 1, this is two "mini arcs", fleshing out the history of the world of Frieren. First arc tells the story of "The Hero of the South". They take on a task to clean a statue and much to Starks surprise, it isn't a statue of Himmel this time Frieren tells the story of The Hero of the South, the strongest hero of humanity and how he took on not just one, but all 7 Sags of Destruction and the Demon Kings confidante, Schlacht the Omniscient simultaneously His "strongest hero of humanity" wasn't just a boast and Frieren has a flashback to how she met the guy He tried to recruit Frieren to help him fight the Demon King, and reveals he already knew she would turn him down. As for how he knew, because he had the gift of knowing the future. He knows he will die fighting the sages and the the Demon Kings main henchman in one years time, but he will kill 3 of the sages in addition to Schlacht, clearing a path for the young hero that comes after him, to finish the job. Frieren is characteristacally unimpressed by anything that goes on around her and has a hard time beliveing some young hero would actually manage to convince her. At first he thinks that Frieren doesn't believe him... He was a hero indeed, going out in a blaze of glory (and blazing a trail for Himmel and his party).

This! Some years ago, I watched the occasional Fox news articles and some Fox youtube videos (to avoid the echo chamber thing). I seriously thought at first, that I was watching some surreal satire in the comments sections until I realized those people actually believed what they wrote. Made me despair for the state of the world.

N-Ray Range Vent
bobbd2000 replied to bobbd2000's topic in The Outer Worlds 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
After not being able to find a solution, I asked AI, Microsoft Copilot. I described the problem much like I did above and got a very specific answer. It is a known issue. The solution is to get into the vent by being diagonal to it as you move rather than straight on. Here's exactly what it said and it worked: 1. Stand slightly to the left or right of the vent opening. 2. Crouch first (don’t rely on auto‑crouch). 3. While crouched, move diagonally into the vent—almost like you’re scraping along the wall. 4. Once your head clips under the lip, the game “grabs” you and pulls you into the crawlspace. -
that is a concern, but am gonna point out that the administration's gaslighting efforts has been so successful, they may not feel any need to rely on ai or make ai claims as a defense. https://www.facebook.com/RiseUpAndResist/videos/bash-you-said-he-wanted-to-massacre-law-enforcement-what-evidence-do-you-have-th/1532399077827566/ trump supporters watching fox, oan, news max and countless maga sites is seeing video and they is glomping onto the narrative offered by trump, steven miller, kristi noem and greg bovino. have mentioned previous how reading stories at fox doesn't provide much insight, but reading the reader comments following the stories does. us v. them. HA! Good Fun!

Played through Bloodborne again. Well, almost. Didn't do Gehrman yet, but the DLC is done. Took me over an hour again to beat the orphan of Kos (or some say... Kosm). First phase is for sure a lot harder than the 2nd one. First one needs a lot of patience and some luck. 2nd phase is pretty much just "dodge into him" and don't drain your stamina too fast. After that, I went a little bit into Elden Ring again. Haven't finished the DLC yet, still lots of content for that one. But damn, the game is visually just beautiful.

Haha I didn't know this. I guess I am going to have to console Eder into a monk in every playthrough now... Speaking of multi-hit weapons, does Ball and Chain give 3 chances for Swift Flurry/HBD per attack when it crits with Crushing Yoke and Subjugation? I am looking at Crushing Yoke in the exported JSONs right now and I didn't realize it launches an attack in basically the same way Mohora Tanga does. If so, there is only a ~12.5% chance that it doesn't trigger at least one proc. That's pretty great.
