Malcador Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 You two should meet up for some Tim Horton's or something. Are you kidding ? Tim Horton's is disgusting. 1 Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Agiel Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 (edited) This picture was posted on a website with this accompanying question; "If you were in a public place, would you feel comfortable with him sitting ten (10) feet ...away from your children?" This is the thoughtful response from one (1) of the readers; "I would gently explain to my children that while it is his absolute right to do it, I do not approve. Then I will let them know, in no uncertain terms, that if I ever catch THEM wearing brown slacks, blue socks and black shoes, IN PUBLIC, I will slap the stupid out of them." - Texas Mom I'd feel a lot better about the NRA being the defenders of the 2nd Amendment if they got citizens to seriously reassess whether or not they really are responsible gun owners (sort of like how if you polled motorists at least 75% of them would say they were an "above average" driver). Frankly the guys in tacticool gear that bring semi-automatic rifles to rallies are the types I wouldn't trust casting a fishing line sitting in the same boat, let alone open-carrying a piece. Edited June 29, 2018 by Agiel 6 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling
Gfted1 Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Are you kidding ? Tim Horton's is disgusting. Isnt it basically the Canadian version of Starbucks? Plus you can win phat loot by rolling up the rim! "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
majestic Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) Are you kidding ? Tim Horton's is disgusting. Isnt it basically the Canadian version of Starbucks? Plus you can win phat loot by rolling up the rim! If it is then that explains why it's disgusting. Not that I know anything about Tim Horton's outside of knowing it exists (and according to HIMYM has orange plastic trays) but Starbucks? No thanks. Edited June 30, 2018 by majestic No mind to think. Guard Dog Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 It's more like the Canadian Dunkin Donuts. As for that picture, open carrying and being kind of a d--k about it, keys on a belt loop, short haircut, bad style, sitting alone. I'm guessing off-duty cop. And probably a real motherf----r of one too. The kind that figures he is never "off duty". teknoman2 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 1 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. Modern democracy is: the sheep voting for which dog will be the shepherd's right hand.
