May 14, 20187 yr Sorry, no answer here but I am also looking how and where to obtain it. I have completed the game with almost all the unique weapons, but for this one I have no clues where one could potentially receive it (hopefully not on one of those plagued ships, I ignored most of them until I received once unique gloves).
May 30, 20187 yr I also did not find it at all. Shame I wanted to use it on my sniper build [POE1] Nirvana Monk build- Tank/DPS monk for soloing PotD and Endless Paths. High anti CC build. [POE2] Sword Singer build - Tank/DPS War Caller or Herald build for solo PotD. High melee dmg, summons, + super tanky [POE2] BURN BABY BURN! - Solo PotD Ultimate burning/fire NUKE Votary build with superb AOE/Single Target flame and burn damage. [POE2] BLEAK HUNTRESS. Solo PotD Holy Slayer ranged sniper assassin build.
May 30, 20187 yr It looks like it is dropped in one of the random sea events, tied(possibly? not sure of this part) maybe to negative reputation with certain in-game fractions.
May 30, 20187 yr I added it with the console as well. Don't get the knock back upgrade. Maia kept knocking enemies out of slicken and other CC. Atsura, the intelligent Psychopath of my dreams. I like my elves grumpy and my godlike fishy! And my Rekke romancable!

June 4, 20187 yr If u win the onboarding combat with the enemy captain’ corpse not generated, u will miss the arquebus. To explain this more clearly, the loot u get from naval combat depends on the corpse’ loot. But there is chance that the combat end too fast so some freshly killed enemy’s corpse is not created, and thus makes you miss the gear.

But there is chance that the combat end too fast so some freshly killed enemy’s corpse is not created, and thus makes you miss the gear. But which naval combat is that? Can you be more specific? And you need to fire some shots and do crew damage before boarding or you can just go directly to board the enemy ship?

June 4, 20187 yr There's only one on board...? Right, but presumably a specific captain from a specific encounter is the one that drops the Red Hand. There are a few specific naval encounters which were bugged previously and didn't drop loot -- Malnaj was one -- but which now do drop loot in the new beta branch patch (Malnaj drops loot now but not the Red Hand). So if we knew which specific encounter the Red Hand was supposed to drop from, we could go test .. .

June 9, 20187 yr Hehe, I'm sorry - I just trolled a bit with the "there's only one captain" thing. I also didn't find the arquebus yet. Maybe dunehunter did. Then I forgot about this thread... :oops: Before that trolling I just wanted to confirm that you can directly board and that you have to kill the captain first (or at least not last) so that his/her loot will spawn. That could be a reason why somebody doesn't find gear: it simply didn't spawn because of that glitchy behaviour. Since the captain usually stands there in the back line and is hard to come by it often happens that he/she's the last person standing. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
June 9, 20187 yr While that bug does sound like something that exists, we don't know that its from a Captain yet, just that it might be from a Naval event, possibly tied to negative faction.... If there is a bug (or they intentionally didn't put the wpn in Live) that causes the event to not occur, killing every Captain you meet isn't going to help.
