Jessica Jones Jessica Jones Jessica Jones Jessica Jones!

Season 1 is my favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe anything.

I kind of struggled through Season 1... and the only reason I kept watching was for Doctor Who Kilgrave.

Then again, my favorite Marvel anything is Agents of SHIELD so I might not be the best point of reference. :w00t:

I'm with you on that, buddy. The only Marvel Netflix show I've genuinely liked all the way through was season 1 of Daredevil.

This and Like Cage for me as well. But yeah, same: didn't even bother with The Punisher and not sure I care too much about checking out the new Jessica Jones season either. With regards to Marvel shows it's all about Legion for me at this point.

The new series of Vikings is brilliant as usual

Watched the pilot episode of Deception.

I mean sure, it's yet another crime procedural type of show, but it had a curious premise. A little jumped on the "Now You See Me" vibe.

A guy who grew up with a magician for a father, a father who concealed he had twin sons so he could travel the world doing a "disapearing boy" trick, went into showbiz and become a world famous magician himself (still with no-one knowing he was actually twins). Only for a mysterious illusionist set up his brother to be revealed and take the fall for a murder he didn't commit.

A year on, and the brother not under arrest insinuates himself with the FBI as a specialist consultant as part of the process in tracking down who framed his brother.

And it has Vinnie Jones as the technical support guy for the Magician. So it was worth a watch just for those sidekick appearances.

Watched 5 episodes of "B: The Beginning" on Netflix. Anime series.

First couple episodes I was kind of confused about what was going on, who these slightly bizarro-joker chrs. were that kept fighting each other, and the cop-chick chr. was kind of annoying. But by the fifth episode I'm becoming more hooked. The mystery deepens but starts to make more sense, the cop-chick and the genius-grumpy-cop with a past start to have some good/funny scenes. I wouldn't say it's awesome but it's enough to keep you watching.

Seal Team, it's kind of a rehash of The Unit, with Angel from Buffy TVS 5v show, here he is an older grizzled Seal team leader. I'm only 2 episodes in, but I think I prefer The Unit (Fired up!).

Thanks for shopping Pawn-O-Matic!

Finished "B:The Beginning."

I feel like character story/background/motivation in the series remains a bit confuddled (or at times, overly simplistic, like the "bad guys" aren't typically well developed) but still, it's entertaining in the back half. I'd give it a B.

Finished my rewatch of Enterprise.

I know I've posted a lot about how terrible the first two seasons were, but to be fair to the show one also needs to point out just how good the fourth one was. I'd put the season in Trek's top tier. They finally hit their stride and started doing stuff a Trek prequel of the era should have been doing all along, and I enjoyed the format of shorter storylines spanning a few episodes (the Xindi story in season three, while good and much better than what came before suffered a bit from going the full duration of the season).

Well, here's to hoping STD will take an equal turn for the better. Hopefully before it gets cancelled. Although ENT always at least had likeable characters (and continued the Trek tradition of having great doctors. Uhm, yeah, maybe except Beverly and that Pulaski thing). :)

Started watching another Netflix anime called Sword Gai while eating a late dinner. Next thing I knew I was on Episode 5, before turning it off to to other things.

I saw swords and magic and demons which is always a combo I like in anime (note: this is not of the dungeons and dragons types of swords and magic). Then came the action, the of course uber-handsome good team and bad team (why do I ALWAYS like anime chrs. with glasses...), and the "who cares what the reasons are" plot framework for the action and combat clashes.

Easily digestible action anime. Although I hear it ends on a cliffhanger and who knows about a 2nd season. Still...another one I'll finish.
