This is the Dwarven Companion Recovery Front.

No, not the Front for Recovery of a Dwarven Companion. They are a different group!

We fight for dwarven companion rights!

We want a dwarven companion, as this is the only race in PoE2 that seems to be missing companion wise.

At least update #13 makes us think so.

And our axe.

It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air...

You have my axe!

Look at these proud men and women of the dwarven folk of Eora.

Ahh, if only they could go back and correct the mistake of having included elves and dwarves in the setting in the first place.

(To their credit, they didn't want to embrace the hackneyed stereotypes associated with these races.  But that left them without any elven or dwarven characters that would have been at all different if they'd just been plain ol' humans.)

Humans Elves Dwarves are safe havens for people. It gives options without risks.

Its cool if you do 3 races 2 subraces tops.

Not 10 subraces for elves and then goblins orcs trolls gnomes and the whole usual suspects...

Thats too much.

1 human for those who dont want to play a fantasy race but jusr a class. These people play a lot as themselves or their superego so kudos for 3 main human races in there.

2 almost human for those who want a little variation

2 kind of human for those that like to explore new horizons

1 unique for those that want one of a kind special snowflake (with the option to just put others on top of it later without diluting the 5 core races)

Its a good balance

I like pale elves and boreal elves a lot. Cool cultures.

So that leaves the classics in the safe zone.

Humans

Wood Elf

Mountain Dwarf

I'd say Aloth behaves largely like the stereotypical elf (which is possibly why he's my least-favorite character of the original ones, excluding Iselmyr of course).

Damn straight!  We need more Dwarves and Dwarve companions.

Aloths elveness is just a gimmick for his backstory. To me its more of a human character with elves coating then anything else.

What i said. People who play wood elves like elves light.

I like to have a dwarven companion. Please no dwarven fighter who likes to fight enemies with his axe (sorry Khelgar). Sagani was a good start.

So lets turn things upside down:

- I like to have a dwarven mage. (Crap, we already have Aloth)

- Then maybe a dwarven cipher. Grieving Mother was invisible. So maybe this one will be a jester.

- Maybe a dwarven chanter who sings songs about beer and gold. His singing increases with increasing alcohol consumption.

Dwarven Rogue!

Dwarven Druid and tree hugger with a ram spiritshift form.

:skull: SHARKNADO :skull:

Goathugger*

Old Vaillia Dwarf

Whatever the class

But considering Naasitaq is in Deadfire...

Mountain dwarf in poe1 with white march

Sagani in poe2 naastiq

Wouldve made more sense.

Hell... travel half the world on a wild goosechase... weird sagani story anyway

Would make sense in the same archipelago

She talk about culture all game

Then get dlc Naasitaq

This is the Dwarven Companion Recovery Front.

Here are some of our ideas for a suitable dwarven companion:

  • Priest of Ondra/Abydon, Old Vailia
  • Ranger with a bear animal companion, Living Lands
  • Rogue assasin, Deadfire
  • Druid with a bear spiritshift form, Rauatai

The Front for Recovery of a Dwarven Companion had some ideas too:

  • Generic fighter, Aedyr
  • Generic barbarian, White That Wends

Spread the bitter alesong! Fight for the cause!

A surprisingly long thread for such a short topic.

I'm hoping we get a stretch goal for an 8th companion who is a dwarf. A effete beardless teetotaler wizard dwarf.
