ManifestedISO Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Pretty sure he said 14 is the new level cap. And something about party AI. Ice trolls, winter wolves, snow ogres, oh my! All Stop. On Screen.
Quillon Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 So I guess we get some White March gameplay from E3 today at 5pm PST http://www.twitch.tv/twitch So I missed it by 25 mins, awesome...
Nakia Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Should we count expansion to be demanded additional content for Stronghold No! Absolutely not! I have but one enemy: myself - Drow saying

Nakia Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 They said that it was done in two parts so that they could get content out to us in less than six months. So...soon. I have but one enemy: myself - Drow saying
Faerunner Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 They said that it was done in two parts so that they could get content out to us in less than six months. So...soon. Yay! "Not I, though. Not I," said the hanging dwarf.
Silent Winter Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 So again a wintery place, again no jungle or desert, or archipelago, or anything of the sort. Will you be able to import characters from your current game or must you build a new character? It'd be really weird if you couldn't, as this is an expansion, not a sequel, and the trailer starts off from Caed Nua, rebuilt by "you." So yeah, I think it's safe to assume that we can continue playing with our current characters. But...but...what if I left the place to rot? (Eastern Barbican not withstanding) and I think Wintery-snowy places are popular because they look cool (no pun intended) without needing even super-many poly's to model. Mayhaps the sequel or expansion 2 can deal with the archipelago :fingers crossed: I have a different question for those of us that pre-ordered through KS, which I didn't think of until now. My KS tier included two digital copies of PoE and the disk. I added $20 for the expansion, will I only get a digital key for one expansion or two? What about the DRM free disk? $20 gets you one key, not two - confirmed by Devs in a previous update thread but I can't remember where. Makes sense though. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Casts Nature's Terror* , *Casts Firebug* , *Casts Rot-Skulls* , *Casts Garden of Life* *Spirit-shifts to cat form*
Failion Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Would of preferred a new protagonist have it be a separate story excluding the watcher.
Namutree Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Would of preferred a new protagonist have it be a separate story excluding the watcher. I suspect that won't be happening the any PoE content ever. "Good thing I don't heal my characters or they'd be really hurt." Is not something I should ever be thinking. I use blue text when I'm being sarcastic.
Heartsib Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Based on the Twitch spotlight and the latest LoER update, it looks like: - folks who pledged for the expansion will be getting both parts. - the expansion will scale up to a more challenging level if the player requests it at the start of play - the expansion is an add-on that can be integrated during or after a playthrough of the base game - your old companions will be available for the playthrough, along with at least two new ones, a rogue construct and a monk Edited June 18, 2015 by Heartsib
Gromnir Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) there were one durgan (sp?) steel weapon in the core game, and it had the speed mod in addition to being exceptional. would be kinda funny if the speed mod were inherent to durgan steel, but still bugged so as to be impotent. well, maybe not funny. ogre cannoners trigger our sense o' whimsy. as an aside, the devil of caroc and zahua is having individual cards in the silly poe card game. the devil is a rogue and zahua is a monk. devil looks like an artificial being. possible jnpcs? edit: am seeing that in the kickstarter update, devil and zahua is specific identified as companions from the upcoming white march expansion, and devil is indeed a construct. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2081578473/pillars-of-eternity-lords-of-the-eastern-reach-car/posts/1266758 HA! kensu Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Oooh, you can see your breath. That looks really odd in an IE-like game...

AndreaColombo Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Here comes the hype train! :D Optional level scaling is amazing. I hope we get a chance to apply it to the critical path of the main game as well (I personally like optional content not to scale though.) Zahua is like Forton v2.0, so Forton fans rejoice! Pity it's an older bald man, though—kinda cliché for a monk. Interesting that we'd have a Devil of Caroc character. Maybe it was a concept all along, or maybe it was born out of all the speculation on early screenshots Nice touch that you're able to see your footsteps and your breath in the cold. bronzepoem Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 How about the stronghold fix and individual sneaking fix? Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, She got the Mercedes Benz She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat. Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
bjon045 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I haven't played PoE yet but I bought the expansion as part of the kickstarter and I am very pleased to hear about this. Looks like I will probably start playing in about 6 months when this gets released.
Crucis Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Would of preferred a new protagonist have it be a separate story excluding the watcher. I'd prefer people who knew that it's "would have" or "would've", not the non-existent "would of". 5
Crucis Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 One thing interesting I got from the RpgCodex link was this: "The expansion starts out in a village called Stalwart which is besieged by ogres. " Anyone recall that the City Crier in Defiance Bay was talking about Stalwart being besieged by Ogres? I did. And I was wondering what it was all about since pretty much everything the town crier seemed to talk about related to things the PC either did or could end up doing later. 1
Fardragon Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 The silly PoE card game site seems to be hinting at a third companion character. Which would make sense, given that there is still no Barbarian. 1 Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
ruzen Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Dude the comentors have zero idea about PoE. ... "I have level 15 party..." what a **************** 1 Kana - "Sorry. It seems I'm not very good at raising spirits." Kana winces. "That was unintentional."
Grimo88 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Dude the comentors have zero idea about PoE. ... "I have level 15 party..." what a **************** Have you found a recording? I can't seem to find anything but the live stream which is over. How can I watch this?
