So, what they're going to start counter-hacking people ? Remarkable amount of coverage for it though, even if I am left rather unimpressed with the title. I was expecting some thing more along the naming lines of Aegis or Safe or something. Not sure how one overrides a crash. A minor quibble though. I tried to explain this when Anita was in that ABC documentary. The biggest problem facing GG is the public perception that faces it, you guys just aren't getting your message across in the right way. You are seen as misogynistic and bigoted by many . I don't know how you will resolve this because "anti-GG" has the ear of mainstream media And its understandable because SJW have for years been building campaigns and cementing relationships with certain media houses because the message from them in its basic form is a good message that most people agree with, " we want equality in society" ....what person with a semblance of a moral conscience is going to be opposed to this? So GG is trying to take on an established social giant that has real resources. The bad things that "anti-GG" do is generally ignored by civil society because of all the good the movement does and what people believe is the right thing. Is support for "anti-GG" sometimes misplaced and unfair. Thats is interesting, has there been a " right to respond " officially given to GG by ABC to explain their side of the debate? Has ABC apologized, because to be honest 25 K people voting down the video on Youtube doesn't mean much for the millions of people who follow ABC, don't care about Youtube and believe what ABC talk about ? As for GG not getting it's message across, that's sadly true. I've been in several discussions with people that claimed I supported or benefited from the actions of harassers. Neither are true, since I abhor the harassers, they make sure we can't actually talk about the thing we want to talk about and ruin our PR. The worst thing is, there have been several instances of harassment that were confirmed to have come from anti-GG (including the douche who posted child pornography on 8chan to "prove" that 8chan hosted child pornography) or third party trolls like the GNAA, so really there's very little options to stop it. I've actually yet to encounter an anti-GG proponent in random communities who I could not either silence (in the case of the extremely loyal SJW types who actively oppose GG) or convince they had the wrong idea. All you need to do is put yourself in the shoes of a neutral: a neutral is a person inexperienced with the issue who hasn't read up on it, and sure enough it they google GamerGate, the top three results are the extremely bias wikipedia article, an article by Gawker, and rationalwiki, which is basically the SJW wiki. They know nothing about it and the little exposure they do have is "IT'S EVIL, SHUN THEM." As such, all you need do is calmly and civily explain what the real issues are or how they might have it wrong. It's pretty simple, in my experience, and I can proudly say I've led a couple people to say they'd look into it after having spoken with me. "The Courier was the worst of all of them. Being a victim is a teat that keeps on giving, especially when it's just abuse on Twitter and online. Cute that you think the message is people wanting equality though, I still of the opinion that's just a sword that cuts one way for a lot of them (guilt ridden white guys 'checking' their privelege aside). Good business for her and Quinn, never thought people could be so stupid as to directly provide welfare to someone to make videos, or a 'game' or a website of all things I feel cheated on Twitter, I just got Cheong to post "stop weaponizing me" when I flamed Chu. Various feminist campaigns have raised their concern around how these models were portrayed saying it was sexist and objectified women Personally I'm not sure if I support this move as I have just watched several interviews on Sky with various models and they all say they were paid good money to pose in pictures and they considered the pictures tasteful and also that they weren't feeling objectified in anyway So the question is " do these models have right to decide if they want to go topless " ....or do we let members of civil society tell them what they should be doing ? You could argue the models don't know what there pictures represent symbolically ...so maybe its not up to them to decide. But its not like its full nudity so I think the models should be able to decide for themselves?
