Guest Slinky Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 What It’s like to Fly the $23,000 Singapore Airlines Suites Class I realized that they would address me by whatever title I chose in my Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer profile. I instantly regretted not going with President Low or Princess Derek.

Agiel Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) Looked up an article the Navy's newest destroyer, DDG-1000 Zumwalt, and I couldn't help but notice one tiny detail in the caption for one image. Care to guess what it was? Original article here: http://www.defensenews.com/interactive/article/20140928/DEFREG02/309280017/Meet-Zumwalt-US-Navy-s-Stealth-Destroyer-Will-Go-Sea-Next-Spring Edited October 2, 2014 by Agiel 3 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

Woldan Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 My sister has been to America a year ago and the breakfast was her main complain. And I thought the food in Iceland was bad, but it seems US food in general is a whole 'nother level of awfulness. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Hurlshort Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 My sister has been to America a year ago and the breakfast was her main complain. And I thought the food in Iceland was bad, but it seems US food in general is a whole 'nother level of awfulness. That's really going to depend on where you go in the US. It's a bit of a large country, and the food varies tremendously from region to region. 1
