Not laugh out loud funny. But whenever I'm having a down day, loading up this clip always puts a smile on my face:

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

I fail to see the humour in this one. I've watched it 7 times now. Maybe if I watch it an 8th time I might get it

Ah, European cinema.

The second movie I ever saw him in, and while the movie wasn't that great, it's still his best scene ever.

Not funny but it still makes me nostalgia-smile. Plus Travolta is still adorable doing stuff like this.

More amusing: Total Eclipse of the Heart cover. The singer is decent, but that's not the funny part.

Thank you! I saw the whole movie on youtube and I loved it. Aside from the humour being much better than the clip let on, the characters and story were strong too. I'd never have known that the movie existed if not for your post so once again thank you for enriching my cultural experience.

I load this clip up to remind myself that no matter how frustrating point-and-click adventure games can get (looking at you, The Longest Journey), they can't get more infuriating than this.

In order to watch the full video, you'll have to purchase a subscription to Giant Bomb, which I actually recommend for their Random PC Game videos.

Ah I remember that game, got it as part of the PQ collection. So very bad. But it was somewhat informative on hand signals, weapons and SWAT tactics, so not a total bust.

I heard this one on Studio Q the other day about how the growing middle class in South Africa has allowed more home grown stand up comedians to earn a living down there.

You see, ever since the whole Doritos Locos Tacos thing, Taco Bell thinks they can do whatever they want.
