Nepenthe Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Just saw this earlier... A bit O_O right now... You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions

Serrano Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) After my departure I’m going to be spending significant time with family and friends, as well as pursuing some personal passion-driven projects related to craft beer. The main project I will be working on is a web-based interview show called The Beer Diaries where I interview notable brewers and showcase their beers. If things go well, I’ll work on other beer-related shows, apps and projects. If not, I’ll have drunk a lot of tasty beers Edited September 18, 2012 by Serrano
Morgoth Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Beer is serious business. Rain makes everything better.
Morgoth Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 By the way, in that blog the new GM also reveals that Bio Edmonton is working on a brand new IP. Rain makes everything better.
Malcador Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Well, gotta get out when the going's good. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

KennethTopp Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 So... how long until Bioware is shut down after disappointing sales or merely creating Call of Honor or Medal of Duty for EA as their third try at beating Call of Duty? 2-3 years?
Deadly_Nightshade Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 R.I.P. BioWare. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Mamoulian War Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Yeah yeah, business in EA as usual, if you can not beat it, buy it and destroy it... I am sad that once so awesome developer got consumed again (I got every single game from Bio before the merger, after if I stopped buying their games), but they had a lot of bad examples in before, so serves them right... But what do they care, it is easy to brew beer with their millions, to bad their employees are not so fortunate... Next please... Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Setzer Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 They need to add Mythic Entertainment in with that group. For being a couple of Doctors they weren't very smart to not see this coming. Oh well, I'm sure they made themselves quite a bit of money and really don't care if Bioware is now associated with a pile of dung.
Mamoulian War Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Anyway, they were bought in October 2007, as we have soon October 2012, so presumably they 5-years contract surely expired... 1 Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. GhostofAnakin Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 http://blog.bioware....zeschuk-retire/ Ray is becoming some kind of entrepreneur advisor, and Greg is gonna have a show about beer brewing! It'll be interesting to see what effect (if any) this has on BioWare going forward. In terms of their ability to make games (to a certain extent) how they want to, one would assume that Bio just lost two of its staunchest and more powerful supporters when discussing things with their EA overlords. But at least Casey Hudson is still around! Long live artistic integrity endings! 1 "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
