Finished off the story of Batman Arkham City. Done the majority of "side-quests", apart from the Riddlers, and I haven't found all the political prisoners to save.

Hm, I'm tempted to uninstall it now. I'm just not sure if I can be really bothered to go back in just to wrap those up and find even more riddler trophies and suchlike.

It's their fault ???

Getting insta-killed over and over in a situation which is unwinnable (but made out to be otherwise) is not bad gameplay design?

Tale, Just be happy you didn't read the comic books set before KOTOR (the Tales of the Jedi comics). Then you'd be REALLY pissed when you saw

Korribon

swswp1.jpg

Mandalorians and their war droids (this was when they were an honest to god alien species rather than "I'm ALIEN! I SWEAR!" humans)

Battle_of_Onderon_GSW.jpg

And the entire Duxn/Onderon combo (with a Warhammer looking republic ship being shot at by Mandalorians.

Now a days you look back on those books and laugh... but god damnit when KOTOR first came out I WAS PISSSSSEEED! Particularly given that the writers at bioware re-labeled all the wars (with the Exar-Kun/Ulic Qel-Droma Sith War just being "the other war" while Malak/Revans war being THE Sith War)

Vima Sunrider was originally going to be Bastila, too.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Hey, you either get an organized linear experience or a free chaotic one. Just tag them riddles and come back after.

You do know that you can tag them, right?

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

I'm fine with the throphy thingies being so (after all, same in AA), but having to reload over and over, getting annoyed, and only online learn you just need a tool you can't have at that time. That just sucks.

They could just made the keypad a STRYKER one you cannot hack at that point in the game instead of a regular, so you have the tool by then. Problem solved.

As is, it's just bad gamedesign IMO.

KOTOR 2 with TSLRCM. Haven't seen any of the restored content (that I can recognize) yet, but am already having good nostalgia. The system improvements of KOTOR 2 (like finesse, class-skill as feat) mean I'll have a hard time playing KOTOR 1 ever again.

Played and finally finished the World at War single player campaign. It was OK, but nothing I'd consider replaying. Also, a little disappointed there aren't many achievements to unlock unless you play veteran or above. Being pretty mediocre at FPS, I tend to stick to recruit or the next one up, so I pretty much unlocked next to no achievements.

Just picked up a bunch of PS2 games so I'll probably kill some times with them. Radiata Stories, Demonstone, Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter and such.

Same here, I've maybe only seen one new thing, but then again I'm only in Telos still

My game exits to desktop each time I try equipping Auriel's Bow, I'm so happy about my first major Skyrim bug.

Kinda happy it doesn't work, though, shooting arrows at the sun sounds kinda stupid.

I think I must be coming down with something. I'm having a temptation to play the Neverwinter Nights OC.

Why play NWN OC when you can play NWN2 OC? :brows:

Remains the only Bio game I've never completed. :p

Meanwhile, getting some low intensity swtor in. Don't get bored in small doses.

Knocked off SR3 and Space Marine. SR3 was fun, just car collecting at the moment. Space Marine was, well worth the low price I paid for it, heh, although I behaved like SW Blood Claw and kept thinking 'melee ftw!' and getting killed horribly. Now on to finish the Runaway series, third game is odd to start off from the second, I'm guessing they'll clue me in later on.

Decided to pick up Risen 2 for the 360. It's okay so far. Not a whole lot seems to be going on though. Right now I'm doing a bunch of fetch quests, with no real urgency to carry on the main quest I set sail to achieve in the first place.

Also, combat's a bit annoying. Unless my character is just horribly weak, I get killed badly in most sword fights because blocking doesn't seem to work. Even when I click block, the opponent just powers through my block and I can't do anything to stop it. Meanwhile, 4 out of every 5 of my attacks is successfully blocked by the opponent. And I'm playing on the easiest setting! I can't imagine combat on a tougher setting.

Does NWN2 OC have low intelligence/wisdom dialogue?

When I replayed NWN OC with a dumb half-Orc barbarian it was a blast.

Play as a mage, that way you only have to resort to button mashing when you are out of mana. The game is following a long riseb tradition of wonky melee mechanics.

What about during duels? The actual random combat I come across in the wild isn't too bad, mainly because I have a sidekick helping me out. But the duels where it's 1 on 1 are where I get killed. Can you use magic in a duel, or will you automatically lose because you're not actually, you know, dueling?

Same here, I've maybe only seen one new thing, but then again I'm only in Telos still

1) Hololog of the mechanic fixing the droids

2) T3 on camera

3) Asking HK-50 about the above

4) Sion arriving ingame cutscene

5) Kreia mentioning his arrival afterwards

6) Sion's additional lines when meeting him on Peragus

7) The camera system and HK-47 in the hold when the Assassins board the Hawk

8 ) Vibrocutter

9) Heavy Mining Gun

10) Asking Atton about the astro-system and the HK-50 on the hawk...

You seriously only saw 1 of these? And then I am probably skipping over a lot too.

Anyways, me? I am still playing Arkham City. Finished Zsash side-quest. Still many more to go.

One thing I particularly noticed in my play is

Atris telling Handmaiden to spy on the exile. Of course, this becomes confusing when the other handmaiden ask Atris about it and Atris claims the Handmaiden did it all on her own. Still debating on whether such deception seems in character for her or not.

I have to imagine that we're beyond spoiler warnings for KotOR 2 by now. I'd call deception very in-character for Atris. As for the Last of the Handmaidens, it is consistent with the message you get from her when you do the thought-reading bit with Kreia later (something along the lines of "this mission is the most difficult task that she has ever sent me on").

Anyhow, I'm also giving the latest TSLRCM a go. I will confess to also not catching more than half of the things Hassat lists as new, but that's mostly because I don't remember my vanilla playthrough all that well. I'm just about through with Nar Shadaa, which was my first main planet post-Telos. (I initially went to Dantooine first, but in a fit of roleplaying I decided it would make sense to get out of there after Visas found me.) To the extent that some of the grinding-through-waves-of-bounty-hunters bit is restored content, I think I see why it got cut. And, although fixing it would've been well beyond the scope of the RCM's goals, the whole "Mira's escape from Visquis's base" bit really leaves verisimillitude behind. Anyhow, althought I can't always spot what's new and what isn't, I am enjoying the game, and it's more stable than it has ever been for me in the past. Goto's commentary as I made my way through his ship was a neat touch.
