Let's face it, crowdsourcing is kind of like SOCIALISM, so it can't bet good.

Is that irony I smell.

You have a sharp nose, my otherwise misguided friend.

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

Synopsis:

The mages take off and split from the chantry, concentrating into a single tower in northern Orlais. Wynne dies bringing back from the dead a templar chick her son is crushing on. The Divine (pope equivalent) isn't too keen on enslaving mages, so there's an internal rift within the church, with the templars apparently denying her authority.

Yes. It's explained in there.

she had some hankypanky with a templar in her youth, resulting in a son who was spirited away into another circle. She only met him after the Blight

Imagine a world where we could.

Also, Valve gave an update on that breach in Nov 2011. - http://store.steampo....com/news/7323/

Dear Steam Users and Steam Forum Users:

We continue our investigation of last year's intrusion with the help of outside security experts. In my last note about this, I described how intruders had accessed our Steam database but we found no evidence that the intruders took information from that database. That is still the case.

Recently we learned that it is probable that the intruders obtained a copy of a backup file with information about Steam transactions between 2004 and 2008. This backup file contained user names, email addresses, encrypted billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. It did not include Steam passwords.

We do not have any evidence that the encrypted credit card numbers or billing addresses have been compromised. However as I said in November it's a good idea to watch your credit card activity and statements. And of course keeping Steam Guard on is a good idea as well.

We are still investigating and working with law enforcement authorities. Some state laws require a more formal notice of this incident so some of you will get that notice, but we wanted to update everyone with this new information now.

Also, I took one for the team and read Gaider's latest foray into novelisations. It's more tied in to the games than the last two and fairly obviously sets the scene for DA3.

Wasn't bringing back people from the dead explicitly stated as an impossible magic feat in Dragon Age: Origins codex? Also, that dead templar chick wouldn't happen to be Cassandra?

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Yes, it was supposed to be impossible, it's even highlighted in the book. Unknown how it's done in practice, but Wynne does tap the spirit possessing her (semi-explained in DAO) and dies herself in the process. In fact a larger theme for the book is that the mages are starting to question the limits set to magic by conventional/traditional wisdom. There's also a case of a Tranquil reversing the tranquilisation (thought to be impossible) etc.

Templar chick, "Evangeline", is new to me at least.

That's what I've been trying to tell you guys, but no one listens.

The first scene of the video, with the soft music and the painted animation is part of a trailer, and it's pretty sweet. Watch it if you're interested:

Edit: Just watched the video. Nice try going for that Heart of Darkness arc, but I don't think video games are the best medium to tell such a story effectively.

Aside from these lists usually being bunk. I'll reiterate the first comment on that page about them being drunk when picking this.

What a dumb list.

1.13 killed off Ja2.

Black Ops had a very good ending considering the genre, I feel bit shameful for enjoying that game but it was a decent ride, it depresses me to see it at the top of a BEST EVA! list...

I was actually surprised that there were a few decent games on that list. Portal was the best that I saw on there though.

Dialogue animations are still way over the top, they're exactly like the ones in Divinity 2.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Interview with Schafer.

While I mine this for topics, holy crap

I mean, it costs $40,000 to put up a patch
"Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

I loved the first SpecOps game, I don't even remember what was so good about it... anyway, will keep a close eye on this
