Gorgon Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 It's really hard to believe that the same studio made Caine and Lynch. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
Tale Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Been trying to play a few things. Gemini Rue is a cool idea, but it's not hooking me. I feel like I'm a bit in and not much has really changed. I keep hitting a wall in Sword of the Stars where an enemy ship shows up that tears apart entire fleets. Like 100 rounds in. So installing Prototype that I got on sale who knows how long ago. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Tigranes Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Nothing to play, so checking out The Book of Unwritten Tales demo. RPS is talking about it at the mo and there was a half-done Codex LP before... doesn't seem great, but I'll check it out I guess. What I really want to play is a grand strategy game but Victoria II and Shogun TW2 are really not very replayable, and older TWs make the horrible problems with the strategic gameplay even more apparent. Maybe EU3.... again. WDeranged Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I just arrived in The Den in Fallout 2 but mostly I'm playing Battlefield 3, slowing rising in rank and learning my way around these huge maps.
MechanicalLemon Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Decided to go back to Arcanum. I kind of wish the map had more encounters and locations. It's pretty sparse as it is. Oh, and companion AI is seriously making me . "Use your spells, Geoffrey! Why are you punching? Why-" *sigh*
LadyCrimson Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Bought Stalker bundle, Metro 2033, and Overlord/Raising Hell (since I could never get RH for my pc version back when...) on steam. I figure with my current super short, barely start let alone finish attention span, that should at least hold me over until Skyrim. “Things are as they are. mr insomniac Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Still playing Rage. A Combat Shotgun loaded with Pop Rockets is a satisfying way to kill things. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
LadyCrimson Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Start Stalker:Pripyat. Test/remap keyboard UI. Run around a bit, talk to some guy. Head to where he tells me to go. Kill a couple dogs, admire some scenery. Enter safe zone spot, talk to a couple NPC's. Say "cool, looks like something I might like" then exit game. Sigh. What is wrong with me lately. “Things are as they are. Quite frankly I've never have beat the guy without it. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.

Quite frankly I've never have beat the guy without it. Nah, I can't just do that right now, figuring out the strategy by myself is part of the fun, i will go to the wiki for the 2nd playthrough when i will want to get most of the trophies, or when I get to frustrated from getting my ass abused by his big unlubed stick. The problem is that Yurt killed every trainer and I am unable to change my spells. Labadal Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Batman: Arkham City. Really enjoying it. Only complaint would be that the camera gets annoying sometimes.
SadExchange Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Batman: Arkham City. Really enjoying it. Only complaint would be that the camera gets annoying sometimes. I'm very excited for when my Steam version unlocks in a couple weeks. Hard to wait through the console release, but I played through AA on the Xbox and then on the pc and just wanted one version this time around, but the extra month has been a long wait.
Tale Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Finished Prototype story mode. I might play around to get more web of intrique, but it's not very compelling. I do have a day to kill until Uncharted 3, though. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
vault_overseer Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Been playing Battlefield 3 a lot. God I suck in that game... On the xbox still need to finish DE:HR and FNV:LR and finally start putting time into Arkham City
entrerix Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 (edited) still playing arkham city, its quite fun. I definitely thought the overall level and world design was stronger in Arkham Asylum though, but I appreciate how much larger City is, and how there is much more to do in it. I just prefer a carefully planned "confined" game world, over a sprawling "open" one. ("open" ala gta/assassins creed/infamous etc) Edited October 31, 2011 by entrerix Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.
Morgoth Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Been playing some more Rage, and I think I'm on the last mission in Wellspring. The game does some things really good, like having very versatile enemy AI, I'm also always amazed at the small details especially to animations and texture variation. The authority is fun to fight, at least on the highest difficulty (everything below is too easy), and overall gunplay feels very good. Definitely the best idSoft game, since..uhm, Doom 2? Rain makes everything better.

Morgoth Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Played some more Rage, now I joined the Resistance. The game sure doesn't win a BAFTA in story telling or gameplay, but idSoft sure as heck has one of the most talented artists in the world. I can't even fathom how awesome Doom 4 will, well at least, look. Rain makes everything better.

WDeranged Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Spent a few hours in Battlefield 3 with a friend of mine, it probably goes without saying but games like this are twice as much fun with friends, now I need to get a usb headset so I can stop screaming into my webcam mic
Fighter Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Amnesia the Dark Descent. It's the scariest video game I've ever played.
WorstUsernameEver Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Playing a bit of Morrowind (and when I'll be done with it, Oblivion) to prepare for Skyrim. Also playing some Darksiders and Cthulhu Saves the World. Gotta clear my backlog a bit.
trulez Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 World of Tanks Seems like a nice little PVP MMO with enough but not too much grinding to acquire all the vehicles and their upgrades. Can't wait to see how strategic the organized play at the top level is.
