Does MW2 look like a Crysis killer? No? Why did it sell so well nonetheless?

MW2 looks great, they achieved it by having more linear levels and probably better optimization. Well, except for the brown-gray "realism" filter, but that's a whole other story.

There's a thread in the Gearbox forums, started yesterday, about a new Borderlands DLC 4. They released a new game update patch and within it some people found all kinds of files/dialogue info etc. that made them think new content...so the (wildly popular) thread is all speculation based on this. Two gearbox staff replied in the thread, saying neither yay or nay, but they sounded "teasing" so I'd say...good bet it's true. If so...awesome for me!

 

Now, if you want to read the thread, go ahead, but be warned that info in there is #1, very spoilery, and #2, possibly inaccurate. :)

Word from GenCon is that Atari has a D&D-related announcement coming. NWN MMO, possibly? WotC is releasing a new Neverwinter Campaign Guide with the Bladesinger as a class, so it would fit.

Probably something with the 4th edition. Bah.

That is actually great news. They're obviously masters of technology (Red Faction: Guerilla!), but their game designs have been somewhat.. lacking. But an action RPG might be what they do well!

I wonder if that means that Atari has sorted its Hasbro (/Turbine, for that matter) legal problems.

There is still a possibility, that they will announce, that they have lost the D&D license ;)
