Paying to play with girls

Recommended Posts

Ok... this is pretty pathetic. http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/107/1079073p1.html

Paying so a chick will talk to you over a mic while playing a game... really? :)

Then again, there are a lot of 13 years out there with M$ points & PS points... this 'service' might actually take off...

Why would I pay a girl to talk to me when I'm gaming when I have a good family nagging me about responsibility and me being a bum. I need that money for therapy instead :p

BTW, is there any confirmation on whether you can play "those" japanese games with them :brows:

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

Not enough money to be made from DLC's?

Probably just a question of time before the first virtual "escort service" popped up.

I do love how they say that the charges are the equivalent to what a guy would spend on drinks at a bar and are shameless enough to say that the intent is to talk to girl instead of getting them drunk :)

They make those?

In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum.

The entire gaming scene appears to be turning into one giant corporate money suck.

It's really pretty gross. :)

Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

I just cannot imagine someone so desperate to actually pay for something like this.

There are people who pay for crpgs just because they have "romances" in them... You do the math :o

Just because they have romances?

That is disturbing. I just consider them as an added bonus if they fit with the story. A real drag if not.

Paying girls to have sex with them is pretty sad.. but paying girls to GAME with them.. is there even a word for that? I don't think our vocabulary is ready for the new depths to which we have sunk.

Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Considering how some of the girls on that site look... paying them is doing them a favor. :o

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

To you it may be sad... after some number crunching, to me, it's quick and effective! :brows:

At any rate, you can't pay for DLC with social skills and a nice smile! Take that, suckas!

As long as the person paying feels they're getting something worth the money they paid, then *shrugs*

Or one could consider it as taking advantage of all the lonely people in world by a bunch of money-ravenous suits who don't give a **** about anything except how much cash they can wring out of someone.

Which pretty much appears to be the evolving state of gaming, looking at all the drms and forced registrations and bit and pieces DLC and charge-for demos and whatever other money-grubbing nonesense is going on.

Just because there's really nothing we can do about it, doesn't mean it should all pass unremarked upon.

Except I think that that's a separate issue - companies don't have to prey on the lonely to be full of money-ravenous suits who only care about the money they can wring from others.

But there are many companies and individuals that provide service to the lonely; I'm not sure that its necessarily a negative thing provided the lonely person is getting something that, for them, they feel is worth the money they paid.

Didn't say it shouldn't be commented on, just that in my opinion as long as the customer feels that they're receiving reciprocity vis a vis what they get vs the money they paid then I'm not going to pass a value judgment on the business anymore than I would "web-cam girls" or "dating services".
