Anxious to get home from work and see if there is a cheque in the mail from Samsung. It's refund for my old defect monitor, since they couldn't give me a replacement. Samsung doesn't stock their own monitors

It might be a bit hard to get a new one delivered from my usual hardware pusher before the holidays :(

I wish my feet would freeze. That would mean snow. All we have is cold of the hand-freezing variety.

Hey now, my mother is huge and don't you forget it. The drunk can't even get off the couch to make herself a vodka drenched sandwich. Octopus suck.

Be happy you have cold. All I have is heat. And humidity. And rain every other day.

In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum.

It's 45F at noon, here in the SF Peninsula. Cold for CA but I'd rather this than 95F-plus.

It's about 40 degrees out here and honestly when I walked outside this morning to go to my exam it was like my ideal weather. Bright sunshine to warm your soul but cold enough to see your breath and perk you up. Fantastic. Then I had exam which went pretty well and came outside and then it was cloudy-ish and not awesome anymore. :'( But I'm eating a chipotle burrito and watching top chef finale. Life doesn't suck at this very moment and that non suckness will probably last for at least another 40 minutes until I have to study for my marketing exam. Although my plans could go horribly awry because I've had this suspicion that I'm allergic to beans for a long time now but only certain kinds and we will see if I go into anaphylactic shock and die or not.

Pre-emptive toodles to wals, I'll never forget you even when my spiritual consciousness is reabsorbed into the ether and my body is redistributed among the materials that compose the physical universe. Make a good night sweet prince post for me if I don't return. I want Will Smith to be at my funeral too. I know you can arrange that.

There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

I would agree with you 6 months and 80 pounds ago, now I just freeze if it drops below 60F

I used to be the sort to go out in 55F rainy weather in shorts, t-shirt & flip flops, but I find my feet/legs get colder faster as I age...I now have to at least wear slippers and long socks. Hubby thinks anything below 68F is "freezing" and complains like it's 35F. :) But truth is his extremities become ice cold very fast...same w/most of his family & my mother. Thin skin & hereditary circulatory conditions I guess.

A lot of it is a state of mind, tho. Some days I want to bundle up and be toasty instead of just be tolerably chill. :)

I love days like that too.

Somehow I'm a mix of both of those. I was wearing shorts and flip flops only a few weeks ago and would have kept going but I didn't want to appear like a complete freak at school. My core body temp runs probably hotter than most people so I can withstand the cold but none of that goes to my hands so even in relatively weak coldness my hands are freezing but my tummy/legs/betweentummyandlegs smolders in my great brilliance of heat.

Just got out of a two hour meeting on purchasing new planar Kathrein XPol antennas for WiMax applications. I gave a 20 min presentation on the electrical properties and specs of the antenna. It was really exciting and facinating stuff, I nearly dozed off myself. That would have been a sight. :)

Hehe, we sound similar. Torso/head for me. Friends used to joke they could fry an egg on the top of my head.

My veins are invisible too...and I'm not that dark skinned. Nurses can never find the vein in crook of arm for blood tests or my hands for IV's and usually have to try several times. Which hurts. :)

I think my hard drive is failing. It was making a clicking noise and my computer is going haywire. I'm trying to transfer all my important files over to my external but I suspect my porn folder is being a real inconsiderate a hole. I have it hidden and messed within a myraid of other folders with various things in them and I just get a completely vague file cannot be transferred when I move the whole thing. So its going to be difficult to sort through all this non sense.

Damn you technology, why can't you be more porn friendly-er!!?!?!

I also made pork chops with a mushroom/wine/cream sauce. Pretty good, perhaps very slightly underdone but nice and juicy. Still haven't studied for marketing yet. But after my exam tomorrow I'm going to pick up the first book in A song of Ice and Fire and hopefully my break will be awesome.

Briefly puzzled over Sluggo's posts as usual. Did no work whatever today, other than some general historical reading. Loafed about the house enjoying my house. Did my exercise (I've been doing it this last week, just not posting on it), and then off for singing lesson then pub. Dinedon chips, followed by homemade curry. Several real ales. etc etc.

In too good a mood to read LoF madness.

Supervisor left to Spain for a month when I began my Masters, when he came back I gave him the stuff I've been working on. He misread my email and thought I hadn't written it yet, so when I went to see him he hadn't actually read what I've done. A week later I go up and he's forgotten the appointment and gone to cricket. The fat blubber can email me with his 'feedback', I'm not climbing that bloody hill a third time.

Makes me wish I had a hundred thousand bucks spare so I could have gone to NYU, but then, it'd probably have been worse there.

Tried with a modicum of success to not blow up on LoF... I don't know how much longer that success will last, I'm having a thoroughly crappy series of days.
