Qwerty the Sir Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Pretty much just Mask of the Betrayer and Spore.
LadyCrimson Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Overlord (just for fun) Spore And now maybe SimCity Societies. I'm not sure yet. I was never into the SimCitiy games, but since Tilted Mill is making Societies, I wonder if I might like this one more. A lot of controversy over it all, tho, I gather. “Things are as they are. Pidesco Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Bioshock And, like the Lady, also Overlord, Spore, and now Sim City Societies, of which I was informed in the post above. metadigital Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Bok have you played CoH DirectX10 ? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Bokishi Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Not yet, waiting for better Vista drivers (still) Current 3DMark
metadigital Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Yeah, the drivers for X2900 Crossfire are apparently pants, too. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Bokishi Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Also DirectX10 runs like a dog on everything and doesn't utlize SLI. This crap is just too new for its own good. Current 3DMark
metadigital Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 But SOFT SHADOWS and MULTIPLE light sources! OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Bokishi Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 You can get those with DX9 already What DX10 has is geometry shaders!! Current 3DMark
jaguars4ever Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 What DX10 has is geometry shaders!! ZOMG!1 So Crysis will use the geometry shaders !?
jaguars4ever Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 That's impossible! It's real-life Geometry Wars!1!1
metadigital Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 You can get those with DX9 already What DX10 has is geometry shaders!! Well it might just be the CoH implementation: the new DX10 patch has soft shadows from multiple light sources, whereas the DX9 game does not (I'm looking at the ingame screenshots as I type this). OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Bokishi Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Really? Users reported hardly any difference from DX9 other than better smoke Current 3DMark
Tale Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Really? Users reported hardly any difference from DX9 other than better smoke What do users know, really? "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Bokishi Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Umm they played both versions and put up screenshots? Current 3DMark
theslug Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Theres a video showing the differences between dx9 and 10 in crysis. To say there are hardly any differences is a complete lie. There was only one part where they looked very similar, however I hope they would be cool and have the game still support dx 9 since vista sucks. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
Wistrik Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 (edited) Dragon Age, so much more so after reading Maria's "what is known" sticky on the forums. Some of my favorite RPGs weren't based on D&D rules, so I'm able to like what I see about this game's rule set. I'm not suggesting anything on the forums because developers seem to ignore me (their loss). Instead I'll wait for the game to come out and then look at the modding potential for it. Musopticon? Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 I bet 10 bucks that the first major modification will be one that coverts the game to d20. Such is life. Personally, I think distance from the whole D&D affair is one of the game's and indeed the dev team's strengths. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears.
