Darque Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I wish I lived in a place with snow like that.
Dark_Raven Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 It can be nice but a pain in th ass also. Too cold, you have to wipe your car off, get stuck, etc. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Kor Qel Droma Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 And it keeps coming down... This is the latest pic of my extravagant view. Notice how the snow piling up on the railing is going to tip soon. That's fun you can't buy in stores, kids. And here's another view of the same, this time through the screen of my kitchen window. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
kumquatq3 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 And it keeps coming down... This is the latest pic of my extravagant view. It seems your view is fast becoming one of a snow wall
Deraldin Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 It's finally snowing here! ) Too bad it's not snowing hard enough to get any actual accumulation.
Sand Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 70 degree weather where I live. Beautiful. LadyCrimson Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 This is where you wait for someone to walk by and then give the snow on the railing a slight nudge... Fun pictures, thanks for sharing those. @Sand - yeah, it's like that here too. Warmer during the day, actually still. Maybe 75-78, but then dropping to 50 at night. Kor Qel Droma Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Well, my car is hopelessly stuck right now. In its parking space. I tried to leave for work this morning, and managed to back out all of about five feet before I got caught. I'm Canadian, eh, so winter driving is nothing new for me. Neither is being stuck. Nearly every time its happened, however, I've always managed to get myself out without any aid. But this morning, no amount of rocking back and forth or shovelling underneath would help. I called my boss to come help me out, and ten minutes after he arrived we ended up phoning another guy just to help get the damn thing back in its spot. Once I get my car going again, I'm going to clean it out and trade that mofo in for a gas guzzling SUV. edit: we spotted a tree that buckled under the weight of the snow. Kor Qel Droma Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Well, reading todays local paper has given me some numbers to toss out. It was nearly a record snowfall up here. 33.1 centimetres of snow. That's over thirteen inches for you non metric folk. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Musopticon? Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 There are theses huge boulders of snow outside for drunken college girls to stumble into. A humongous amount of snow. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Checkpoint Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 We're getting it here too now. Thin snow is starting fall on the streets like powder; Stockholm, Sweden is officially turning white. ^Yes, that is a good observation, Checkpoint. /God
metadigital Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Won't be long until you crazy Swedes start making giant, meltable hotels ... OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Checkpoint Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 (edited) Actually, there is this meltable hotel up in the north. Haven't been there, but it's supposed to be kinda neat. There is an ice bar here in Stockholm, though, which I haven't visited either, but they hand out warm clothes and stuff to keep you warm. Stockholm won't be white for too long, though. It usually melts away pretty quickly and then it's just rainy until January. Edited November 1, 2006 by Checkpoint ^Yes, that is a good observation, Checkpoint. /God
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 It's started snowing again. Before the snow was too thick to drive through. Now most of the roads in my town are like a sheet of ice. And speaking of ice, check out the niftiness of it on my balcony. There's an even bigger pile that comes from the drain, but I can't get it all in frame. Jaguars4ever is still alive.
