Its going to be like ME but developed by Bethesda.

But it’s nothing like MEs unless you refer to the mess that were Mako driving from ME1 - which is not exactly a flattering comparison.

I feel like that's only because their writing is so bland no real thoughts or ideas are ever included in a Bethesda game.  I guess bland boring story > woke story

Well, I do not like the artstyle as well, but that does not mean, I start wishing Russian Invasion into Gilbert's household... IMHO, the presented art seems to me very ugly, comparably only to the Escape from MI, which was 3D, and I did not liked it as well... If that means, that I am a retro fascist, I should go and ask someone to create a new coat of arms for me...

Really not a fan of the art style.

I'm indifferent toward the art style. At least it's not retro pixel art. Not that there is anything wrong with retro pixel art, some of it is quite lovely. I've just seen far too much of it over the last half decade or so.

Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved - indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/ubisoft-to-turn-off-online-features-for-some-old-games-meaning-players-lose-access-to-dlc

Quote

Ubisoft are switching off online services for several older singleplayer games, including Anno 2070, Far Cry 3, Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. For several of those games, that means that as of September 1st, "the installation and access to DLC will be unavailable," according to an Ubisoft support page.
poster

There are 15 games in total which will have their online features "decommissioned", eleven of which are on PC. Switching off online features means that players will no longer be able to play these games in competitive multiplayer or co-operative modes, should they have them, or in some instances make use of in-game rewards, statistics or news services. Singleplayer modes should remain available.

The PC games which will lose online features on September 1st are:

    Anno 2070
    Assassin's Creed 2
Assassin's Creed 3 (original release; remaster not affected)
    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
    Assassin's Creed Liberation HD
    Driver San Francisco
Far Cry 3 (original release; remaster not affected)
Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
    Silent Hunter 5
    Space Junkies
    Splinter Cell: Blacklist

From that selection, Space Junkies is the newest. It's a multiplayer-only VR game which launched in 2019 and it will be completely unplayable after September 1st. Space Junkies remains on sale on Steam, with a 75% discount for the duration of the Steam summer sale.

Of the remaining games, Assassin's Creed 3, Brotherhood, Liberation HD, Driver San Francisco, Far Cry 3, Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Silent Hunter 5 all have DLC which will apparently be unavailable to install or access after the switch off. This appears to mean people won't be able to access products they've paid for, and I've reached out to Ubisoft to ask for more detail and will update this post should they respond.

Shouldn't expect much from Ubisoft, but removing access to legally purchased products (in this case, DLC) is new.
Also, it highlights why supporting DRM-free platforms is preferable.
Speaking of, Assassin's Creed 1 is available on GOG (though, it has no DLC, thus not quite the same). So, if Ubisoft was not Ubisoft, they could release older games with all DLC included there, instead of remasters.

And that is exactly the reason, why is Ubisoft together with Activision/Blizzard and EA on my never-to-purchase list across all of the platforms, with very occasional exception at GOG, if the game is older than 10 years and on discount under 5 EUR.

I don't have any sort of hard ban on any of these companies, but in practice, I rarely if ever buy games from them. In the case of Ubisoft, with the exception of stuff like Rabbids or those dancing games, all their major franchises are essentially the same. They're not bad, but if I played all of them I would get super burned out. My solution is to pick 1 to play every 3 or 4 years. Activision/Blizzard hasn't made a game I've had any interest in whatsoever in decades. Similar story with EA, ever since Bioware stopped being the RPG company we once knew and loved and became just another cog in the EA machine, churning out uninspired, formulaic games, I've not had any interest in any of their games. Heck, EA Play comes bundled with Game Pass Ultimate, so I have access to dozens and dozens of EA games at no additional cost right now. I have exactly zero installed.

If any of these companies were to put out a game I desperately want to play, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. I'm not holding my breath.
