STADIA-SPECIFIC

  • Increased the scale of Field of View to match other platforms.

Stadia is still a thing? :o

Anyway, sounds like a good time for a new playthrough. Shame it's still impossible to find a GPU at anything resembling reasonable prices, and with the dropping of 700series support I'm now literally on the minimum spec GPU-wise (GTX970)... :(

There's two things that come up commonly that are, as far as I can tell, still not addressed:

  • more stuff to do once you're "done" with the game that isn't just driving around and shooting up random gangs. Would be neat if they could generate semi-random Fixer jobs. I'd compare to Bethesda's radiant quests, but maybe something a bit better/more challenging than their system ;)
  • ability to not look like a clown

Additionally, as far as I can tell form the patchnotes, most more "visible" cybernetic augmentations are still NPC only (at least without resorting modding)

Edit: oh yes, also still no New Game+ seems like?

I still can't believe they launched the game without a dress up/customization system... and there still isn't one over a year later.

I have a lot of little disappointments with this game but stuff like that is a real head scratcher

It seems to be in the patch but has not been enabled, it's probably still not ready.

Well, I fired up the game. Had to respec my character, which is annoying as I hardly remembered what I put where in the first place.

Then I found out they changed attribute requirements on weapons as well without refunding those, so my character-that-finished-the-game can no longer use the weapon-she-finished-the-game-with proficiently.

Closed the game again.

Might start a new character, but really getting a bit tired of these types of sweeping changes in single player games.

Game just pulled in a 5.6GiB update on Gog. So far no patch notes so not sure what's in there.

Mine clocked in at 62GB =/

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Just beat it.  Overall I liked it.  The story and characters were good.  Combat was decent.  Only thing I really didn't like was the ending.  Not to spoil anything but the very last scene that maybe sets up a DLC made me the opposite of excited.  Not sure if all endings have the same last scene I had

The last scene is always the same, you with Panam, if that's what you meant.

Monowire is more fun now past 1.5, seems damage buff and now considered a blade.  My assault rifle character might just switch to that, hah.

Pretty sure you only have Panam in your ending if you side with the nomads for the end bit (or if you romanced her I suppose). There are a few different endings that play out differently, but several (not all though) share a certain 6-month characteristic.

Yah that's right. Forgot the other paths, although the scene with Panam is constant regardless of romancing her or not (at least when I last finished it pre-1.5).

No my scene involved space... and I hated it

Edit: hate is a strong word... I just didn't quite understand why V was going to space

Started playing it today, but oh boy did I overestimated the hardware of my pc. It's running on default medium settings, but still everything feels like my input is just smudging all over the place. Also doesn't really help that the hotkey layout feels all over the place and not made for pc at all.

ui and control are so horrible

little things like press down a button for too long while crafting really make player experience exhausting

I can't even run the game smooth in normal. Can't imagine the hardware you need to run it in VR.

Been playing Cyberpunk with the VR mod, and it's like you're living in the game. The mod dev also added bonuses like bullet time

That sounds and looks great, nice one

I cant wait for the day when VR technology allows us to have meaningful Romance arcs in RPG 💞

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Similar but I dont want  to play a porn  game but rather a normal RPG  with porn elements

So in other words I dont want VR porn to be the main point of the game but rather a feature....like I always mention I like Romance but its not the most important component of a RPG

Yeah I had to build a new PC for this, as it was a bit choppy on my last-gen hardware (8700k, 2080ti). I'm currently playing it on the Pimax 8KX VR so I got the 12900k and 3080ti to run it well at 6K ultrawide FOV @72fps. Going to take another generation or so for cyberpunk to be smooth at full 8K VR

All of that and no leering at Panam's ass ? Pft.

But that is cool. I'd get disoriented as hell.

Less than 2h in and the stupid bullet sponge combat design where 8 headshots later enemies are still coming strong is already quickly killing my interest.

That was reason I was not able to play Las Vegas, strangely I didn't felt it in Cyberpunk
