Lexx Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Huh, doesn't look so bad actually. I'm highly surprised about this not being in the usual Blizzard comic figure / color style. "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."

Agiel Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Got vibes of that movie Lifeforce at the end of the Diablo IV cinematic trailer. Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

I blame 40k and people taking all the skulls and **** seriously for this. As for the WoW trailer...I guess I just hate Sylvanas as a character so much that's colouring my reception of it. Shadowlands is by far the least hyped I've ever been for a WoW expansion.

Blarghagh Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 (edited) Overwatch 2 looks like an expansion pack sold as a sequel. WoW Shadowlands looks like a patch sold as an expansion pack. How is this BlizzCon so dull despite so much new stuff? Edited November 1, 2019 by TrueNeutral
Chilloutman Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 D4 trailer looks a bit cringey but i liked that gameplay, characters still look a bit cartoony but overall i liked it more than D3 I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. Glad they kept making us hear Tracer's voice, we needed that. Interesting change for WoW levelling : Leveling Updates World of Warcraft: Shadowlands introduces a smoother, more streamlined leveling experience. World of Warcraft—and as that continues to grow, we wanted to find a way to better pace the experience for players as they level. Over the years, we’ve found ways to speed up the leveling process, but we did so at the cost of a providing a complete experience for players, who would outpace a zone’s content and miss out on the ongoing narrative. It’s also important for us to return to a time when every level is meaningful. This means that when you go from one level to another, you get something new such as an ability or spell, access to a dungeon, the ability to use mounts, or a new Talent tier. We’re also updating the new-player experience to showcase more of the best World of Warcraft has to offer. New players will begin their journey in a whole new level 1–10 experience. Players will then be able to level from 10–50 in Battle For Azeroth or any expansion they wish to experience from start to finish. Finally, they’ll move on into Shadowlands, where players can go from level 50–60. This ultimately means that leveling will be faster, and players will be able to experience the complete story of an expansion while preparing to journey to the Shadowlands. Blarghagh Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Well, at least it'll be quicker leveling to go into Ravenloft- oops I mean Shadowlands.

It does indeed look like stuff we have been asking for a while. I am confused as to what this game is exactly. This is what I found online: Quote Players of the original game will be able to carry their unlocks over to the sequel. You can even play the new maps and as the new characters if you own the original game. So what is the price point for? Coop campaign?

injurai Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 I only watched the D4 reveal, but I have to say I'm half impressed by Blizzard. Only half because it seems like they are approaching the franchise like they should have all along, it only took years of criticism, and a handful of major **** ups handling the series for them to finally take this attitude. It's nice that we got more than just words. I loved the new atmosphere in the gameplay reveal. I wonder if the always persistent world is taking inspiration from Dark Souls? At any case there was a bit too many recycled D3 animations to really excite me with regards to the gameplay, I'm hoping they refine the combat a bit more and create something with a fresher feel. I'm not into simply playing a reskin of D3.

Chilloutman Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) so most of things i hear about D4 sounds ok, except that shared MMO like world. Sounds fishy. Also release date 2021 ...
