algroth Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Who the **** romanticises Stalin? The best I've heard about him from socialist and communist wannabes is "he wasn't one". There are some crazies who do. Some crazies also romanticize Hitler for that matter. But it's not surprising to see people assuming one side gets special treatment. Boeroer Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Please tell me: Do you think Kevin Hart is funny? Because I tried to watch the Netflix show "Irresponsible" yesterday night - and I stopped half way because until then it wasn't funny to me at all. Is that me?A week before I watched Ricky Gervais with his "Humanity" show. And while I wouldn't say that I laughed a lot - at least I grinned and snorted. I'm not too fond of standup comedy in general (although I think Mrs. Maisel is quite funny) but this really made me think: is Kevin Hart really that bad? Home come he is successful in the US then? Why did the people in the audiance laugh? Is it my taste of humor?I am seriously interested in what's going on there. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
Gfted1 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I too just watched that over the weekend and it was decidedly meh for me. And just to show you how Im being slowly conditioned by society, when he was talking about choking his son I was thinking to myself; "Is this some really old routine they are rebroadcasting? Someones going to squee like a pig!" "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Chilloutman Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 i was stupit when i was younger as well, I have T-Shirt with Che Guevara I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

That's really weird. This is the funny thread, isn't it? His father was the person in charge of locating the body, and I reckon he also lived alongside a long part of the process, plus his family's history which runs pretty deep into the recent history of Bolivia and so on. teknoman2 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 7 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. I'm not disputing there may be people who romanticize Hitler out there, but I've never heard anyone do it. I have definitely heard people romanticize Stalin and Chairman Mao, both of whom killed more people than Hitler. Young people get some weird romantic notions about communism (I never did because I was born in Poland and got to see first-hand just how horrible it is), I can only hope they eventually grow out of it and realize that **** will never work. Apropos Kevin Hart, I appreciate the guy's hustle and am happy for his success, but I too don't find him funny. ShadySands Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I've seen and heard more people romanticize Hitler than any of his communist counterparts but that was probably just a byproduct of my location I occasionally find Kevin Hart funny and thought the new stand up was better than the last one which I thought was terrible. The last stand up special I saw was Nate Bargatze and I got a good laugh out of that one Free games updated 3/4/21
Keyrock Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I'm assuming "porn for communists" is pictures of food, and not even fancy restaurant dishes, but just like a plain potato, that starving people look at and salivate over. Gorth Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 I remember when this joke was new... oldie but goodie internet joke (I first saw it on usenet on rec.humour.funny iirc) I never was able to verify the original source or attribution, but funny none the less Dr. Schambaugh, of the University of Oklahoma School of Chemical Engineering, Final Exam question for May of 1997. Dr. Schambaugh is known for asking questions such as, "why do airplanes fly?" on his final exams. His one and only final exam question in May 1997 for his Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer II class was: "Is hell exothermic or endothermic? Support your answer with proof."Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: "First, We postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for souls entering hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, then you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant. Two options exist: If hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose. If hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the quote given to me by Theresa Manyan during Freshman year, "that it will be a cold night in hell before I sleep with you" and take into account the fact that I still have NOT succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then Option 2 cannot be true...Thus, hell is exothermic." The student, Tim Graham, got the only A. 4 “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Vaeliorin Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 Huh. The version of that that I recall said that he'd slept with the girl (I don't recall if the name was the same) the night before, so that it must be number 2.
