Mamoulian War
And some people are saying, that Earth is flat. Man should not listen to all people, man should obey the laws of countries, where they do business, and man should obey laws of nature. No one is forcing the people who thinks, that it makes games better to click NO, when games ask for collecting personal inforamtions. But no one should force people to click YES, when they do not want too. Doing all that **** as a background process without consent of a user, should be punishable by law. SonicMage117
Steam Sale is on and it's another phenomenal sale. Sad to see all the hate going for it but... we are in 2018 and people will even complain about free stuff at this point so. Not surprised lol Just what do you think you're doing?! Malcador
What makes it phenomenal? Why has elegance found so little following? evilcat
On humble bundle you can get free copy of Shadowrun Returns, which is not the best part of trilogy (Dragonfall brings more Glory into plot) but free is good discout.

Bartimaeus
Not sure how you can say that the same sale that has occurred roughly every 6 months for the past...decade? is phenomenal. It's fine, it's whatever, it's expected at this point. The allure of giving Valve piles of money for piles of games I'll only seriously play a minority of faded many years ago for me personally. Now I just mooch off of ShadySands while occasionally buying indie games instead (preferably through other outlets where available, though), . injurai
It always amazes how many game developers in the world there are to get clones upon clones of already fairly obscure games. Especially given how luxury games remain even to this day.

People on this forum don't like Steam equals troll stating how great Steam (and by extension, Valve) is at every turn. Heh. Back in the late 2000s (when I actually liked Steam to some degree), I remember when a bug with the Steam chat window started occurring, where it would erroneously say that the person you're talking to was typing a message for forever when nothing had been typed at all. Some of my friends and I all noticed it starting to occur around the same time, and a couple of times it occurred to both of us at the same time, so Steam would tell us both that the other was typing for forever when neither of us were. Incredibly, it still has not been fixed in all that time since - about ten years. It's just such a little thing, but in hindsight, I guess that was a pretty good sign of the things to come from Valve. SonicMage117
Actually the discounts on this sale are much better than the last seasonal sale, but there's alot of good games on sale. Add to that all the efforts that Steam puts in their sales that nobody else does. If I must describe it further I will, though as Majestic said, it probably won't matter much since the majority of users here don't like Steam anyway hehe Just what do you think you're doing?! Lexx
I bought Alpha Protocol for 1,what euro, because I'm too lazy to walk to my dvd. Also last time I tried to play it this way it just didn't worked for whatever reasons. Not sure if there is any other game that interests me... like... at all. Usually I buy stuff when I want to play it, and not when it's on sale. /edit: Deadfire is already 15% off and it was released only last month. So while the gaming press seemed to love it, apparently it bombed hard in sales. What a shame. So while the gaming press seemed to love it, apparently it bombed hard in sales. What a shame. I doubt 15% off is a good indicator of a game bombing. That's a pretty tiny discount. Usually new games that come out during the holidays are offered up with those types of discounts, and it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't selling well. Bartimaeus
Agreed: 15% is pretty small. Wouldn't read much into it except that Obsidian wanted to get in on and appear in the Steam Sale. SonicMage117
Sometimes publishers request that their games go on sale or recieve discount regardless of sales. Doom, The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein sold very well but they were literally 50% off within 2 months of release. Bethesda's way of doing things? Same could be said for many other indie/AAA titles. I guess if you make enough profit, you can cut the price, if you're doing poorly you can cut the price too. The worm eats the apple inside and out both ways. So while the gaming press seemed to love it, apparently it bombed hard in sales. What a shame. It was 10% off on GOG during their sale starting 2 weeks ago. It was also bundled with WL2 (and 10% off? not sure as I backed it anyway) on pre-order there. Given that Deadfire is probably more natural as a $40 title than $50 and it was released close to Major Sale Time I wouldn't be too surprised if a higher base price but quick small discount was part of a sales strategy to get it sales listing exposure once the Summer Sales hit. Katphood
I'd buy new games but I already have some 550 games on steam. Not buying games on Steam for now. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

That would be a pretty bad sales strategy, because I'm feeling ripped off in a way. If I had known it'd be cheaper 6 weeks later, I probably would have waited, considering the initial price did feel quite high.
