Pure. Number theory to be precise. Hah! Well I tend to think the latter. I just liked the sound of "invent maths" as a silly way of describing what I do. That said, there's a nonzero chance that anything I do is wrong, in which case you might describe it as inventing maths. In other news, the campaign just finished and they cleared 400%. Not bad eh?

There's an option to add Beta Access for $20 now (separate from the Extra Beta Access option). You've got about 20 minutes to change your pledge to add it if you want to. Hopefully Obsidian will treat anyone who picked Extra Beta Access without having beta access in their base pledge as having beta access. Not doing so would seem a little harsh.

I believe it has already been confirmed that for Priests and Paladins, Deities and Orders are their subclasses. I also seem to recall that Josh said they wouldn't be adding more, although I think that was before we reached the "3 subclasses for each class" stretch goal, so perhaps they'll get more thanks to that. I woudn't count on it though. What does seem likely to me is that the differences between them will be magnified. We've already been told that each Deity will grant unique spells to their Priest for example.

I'm all for those things too, so long as it doesn't become repetitive. If I enter a new map and it says something about it, that's cool. If every time I enter the map it pipes up with the same line, I'm not. Basically I want to avoid another Lilarcor. Lilarcor was reasonably funny in my first playthrough, but in later playthroughs I grew tired of hearing the same lines again and again.

No I'm saying that aggro mechanics, or other game mechanics that allow a character to force an enemy to attack them or in some other way redirect damage from a friend to themselves are what makes tanks tanks. These aren't present in AD&D*. You can argue that that's not the definition of "tank", but the term first appears in MUDs, not in AD&D. *Or at least weren't in the implementation for AD&D in BG2, which was my only experience of it.
