  1. Just brag Nonek.
  2. Ah. It helps to consider them as first person shooters, which by play mechanics, they essentially are. One character instead of a party, first person perspective, you move around with the mouse and aim at things and press a button to fire. Shooters. Then you don't have to consider them the bane of the RPG genre, of which they are not a member. Helps for me, anyway. Well obviously since RPG literally stands for, "Game that is third person and party based." That why Socom is the best RPG ever. EDIT: Almost forgot that great RPG, Sonic Heroes!
  3. I usually don't bother quoting Volo, but this is a good example of the bizarre behavior in this thread. I come in and criticize the tone, and then get accused of trying to brainwash. I'm encouraged to report to the authorities or GTFO. Everyone is super defensive and super reactionary. I have never seen anything like it here. I'd guess they don't want to adopt the attitude you want them to have. Likely they feel that if they haven't broken any rules then they don't need to be reprimanded by anyone.
  4. Great character. I want to comment on her personality and beliefs, but then I'd end up ruining the thread.
  5. By Tank & Spank I mean the tactic where you send in one or more character's whose only purpose is to absorb damage; while using non-tanks whose sole purpose is to do damage or screw them up with hostile effects. You know, characters who are 100% defense and the others are 100% offense. I also assume that no adjustment to how you tank or spank is needed. As in, once you create your Tank & Spank strategy (how you Tank & how you Spank), all of the combat in the game can be won with that single strategy (assuming said strategy is good, which unfortunately for me, mine was). Tank & Spank works on spirits. Assuming your spank is good. I used Flame touch or whatever it's called. The level 1 wizard fire spell that does obscene damage. Don't need the door jam strategy. I don't recall the details of these fights. If either of them was critical path though I know tank & spank works on them as I beat the game using only tank & spank. Also all the Warden battles too (the supposedly challenging fights). Tank & Spank works on this fight just fine.
  6. If you think that mocking anyone is in any way shape or form exceptable, then there's something wrong with you. Are you familiar with satire? Ridiculous ideas should be mocked. He said anyone; not anything.
  7. No, not really. I do the same thing every fight. Same weapons, same abilities, and same spells (if the fight warrants using spells). Beat the whole game, no problem.
  8. Finally. I can now say I have a fetish and no one will think I'm some kinda pervert.
  9. It's funny to how much people love Morrowind. That was the game that took Elder Scrolls down the casual path. Daggerfall is the apex of Elder Scrolls.
  10. Are you kidding? BG2 has no silver bullet tactic that works on everything. As opposed to PoE. Breach and teach won't work on everything. Trolls for example. It's not enough to breach and teach to beat them. Golems either. Please name one encounter in PoE the Tank & Spank strategy won't work on.
  11. The fact that this fight is way too easy was pointed out many times during the beta. Obsidian never fixed it. Not really a surprise it would be easy in-game.
  12. Besides D3D11 being a bit darker; is there any difference?
  13. It really shouldn't.
  14. The combat would be more exciting if there was a penalty to getting knocked out. Healing becomes more viable. Situations where a character is nearly out of endurance becomes tense, a kind of, "OMG! Please don't die Eder! I don't wanna rest yet! I know, healing, gotta heal Eder before it's too late!" *manages to heal Eder* "Heck yes!" Right now it's more like, "Meh, Eder looks like he'll go down. Oh well, I'll still win the fight." <---- Not exactly a recipe for excitement. Traps become scarier too.
  15. There really should be a penalty for getting knocked out.
  16. Yes. Hence why IWD1/IWD2 are a thing.
  17. In the long run we'll end up with more PoE content if we get expansions than if we skip them.
  18. That not important. With mods I could make PoE the hardest game ever. Not that PoE is even close to the same league as vanilla BG in terms of difficulty. PoE on Path of the damned is easier than BG on normal. But, whatever. The real issue with PoE isn't that it's too easy, but why it's so easy; as Luckmann has already pointed out. You would have to completely chsnge the game mechanics and enemy classes to accomplish that. No I wouldn't. I'd just buff the crap out of the enemy's stats and spam them everywhere.

  20. They would reflect nothing. It would just a more eccentric character. Some people really are just puppy kicking, simple minded, cruel, and heartless jerks. Not every character needs to be or even should be complex.
  21. That's good. I want the classes to play differently. I disagree. The wizard is good enough.
  22. Take it back! No.
  23. Speak American! It's the only language I can understand! I use blue as my sarcasm text color now.
