D4s are for DMs to make a quick escape after a TPK. Toss a bunch of D4s on the ground so they act as caltrops on the other players while making an escape.

Was he the person who wanted NWN to ship without an official campaign at all? I seem to recall that issue raised a serious rift between Black Isle/Interplay and Bioware at the time. When development on NWN started it was said that it would have a a deep single player game you could port your BG character to to continue their story and also have a DM kit that'd allow you to do all these wonderful co-op things. Then they didn't talk about the single player campaign for a long time. Eventually there was some talk of there being no official campaign at all, which upset a lot of people and when released the one we got seemed like it was created as an afterthought.

I suppose I should amend my statement as I was thinking of a small talent pool of equally useful talents. If it were a small pool of one really, extremely useful talent and a bunch of useless ones then you really don't have a talent pool, but a talent and some detritus, which is not terribly different from having a large pool with only a handful of useful choices.

I was hoping this thread was about a set of talents called "awful tree" for Druids and that we'd be discussing it. Possibilities fired in the imagination, alas. I haven't played the beta, but as long as you have some option in the picking of talents, I don't really see an issue in having less talents. The problem would be if you had so few talents that you had no choice (at which point, what's the point of having a choice, just design the class to pick-up the talent at a particular level-up).

I don't watch all the Arrowverse shows, but I only remember the dude who got killed in INVASION! and the vice-president who replaced him. Poking around online those appear to be the only presidents I can find. So I guess Obama could be a one term president or a yet to come president or a time anomaly president since the time line is borked.

IIRC, Obsidian heavily modified the Aurora Engine (dubbed Electron for NWN2). My wild, speculative, no-basis-in-anything-but-supposition guess is, if Beamdog is punting questions to Obsidian, that Beamdog would need access to Obsidian's developer side Electron code to be able to accomplish a NWN2:EE. Since Beamdog seem to have a relationship with Hasbro, I can't see it being an IP issue (but what do I know?)

Well yeah, but with my regular comic forum gone, I rarely get a chance to post on this stuff. Thor never lost that hammer (unless you count that Edda story where Loki disguised him as a woman with magic). Current Thor is Jane Foster, who never had that hammer. (Lets avoid the obvious jokes about her relationship with Thor from the early comics ). Glénat Editions SA, Les Humanoïdes Associés, Société Dargaud are the older French publishers I'm aware of. Éditions Dupuis S.A., Casterman and Le Lombard the Beligum ones. Glénat (French and English), Humanoids (English only, I think), Dargaud (French only), Dupuis (French only), Le Lombard (French only) all distribute e-comics through Comixology, I believe. Several of the newer publishers do as well (Delcourt is there, for example).

Joe Fixit. Gray and smarter than regular Hulk, wore a suit and worked as an enforcer for a Las Vegas casino. It's more or less when The Incredible Hulk becomes a comic worth reading. Technically, he's gray in his first appearance as well (Incredible Hulk #1, 1962) and had more dialogue than the subsequent green version. The creation of Joe Fixit was based on that original coloring and character use, positing it as a different Hulk personality in Banner's mind that manifested ultimately as the Joe Fixit Hulk. Spider-Man is still Peter Parker but he's back to a more-or-less similar version of the classic suit, Captain America is still a hero (Hydra Cap was an alternate timeline manipulation created by a sentient Cosmic Cube, depending on how you read it). All three of the primary Hulks are back to green. Batman technically never died (people thought he died but he was actually transported through time). Superman did die, but he got better due to a one-time confluence of happenstance. Thor hasn't got his hammer back, but Jane Foster's dying so it'll return to him soon. As a side note, Spider-Man had the black costume from 1984 to 1988. The year prior to that, Thor had lost Mjolnir to Beta Ray Bill...these changes are cyclical and always happening in comics.

Had a friend who had distant relatives named Poopenfart. Can only imagine the furor if they'd been memorialized somewhere in the US. That said, the news reports the sign is only 8 years old. Which raises the question of whether it really qualifies as historic and why someone didn't anticipate the 'problem' before they put the sign up and had his full name on it (possibly they sought to save money by having less letters on the signs?). What the ****? Have you been listening to some false Chinese propaganda? Bin Laden was killed succesfully in year 2011 by Americans the mission was a success. There was some civilian casualties, but that is usually unavoidable when dealing with cowards. Now NK leader is much harder to assassinate (at least if he stays within NK) I can admit that. Military war would perhaps be better way to stop NK. Or he's thinking about the failed missile strike in 1998, the cancelled CIA operation in 1999, the CIA backed operation that hit a different truck than the one he was riding on in 2000, or the inability to find him in 2001 when they had him on the run... there's probably more as the US pursued Bin Ladin for 13 years before catching up to him.

It's already on Netflix? It's not even out of the theaters in the states. It was distributed by Netflix internationally. It only received theatrical distribution in the US, as far as I know.
