What the ****? Have you been listening to some false Chinese propaganda? Bin Laden was killed succesfully in year 2011 by Americans the mission was a success. There was some civilian casualties, but that is usually unavoidable when dealing with cowards. Now NK leader is much harder to assassinate (at least if he stays within NK) I can admit that. Military war would perhaps be better way to stop NK. Or he's thinking about the failed missile strike in 1998, the cancelled CIA operation in 1999, the CIA backed operation that hit a different truck than the one he was riding on in 2000, or the inability to find him in 2001 when they had him on the run... there's probably more as the US pursued Bin Ladin for 13 years before catching up to him.

It's already on Netflix? It's not even out of the theaters in the states. It was distributed by Netflix internationally. It only received theatrical distribution in the US, as far as I know.

"Ugly" while arguably an unpleasant descriptor, is a subjective rather than objective one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder afterall. That established, a gentle reminder- Obsidian has a zero-tolerance policy with regard to racial, ethnic, gender, religious, disablement, and/or sexually discriminating remarks. Please be mindful of your words to ensure that you do not accidently cross a line due to poor word choice. As always, please report problematic posts for moderator review.

A few gentle reminders seem in order. This is not the 'who is an alt?' forum. We ask that you discuss one another's ideas not each other in this forum. If you wish to have discussions, you must be willing to accept that others may like/dislike things in ways you don't. Disagreement isn't a bad thing. Harassing someone because they hold an opinion you don't agree with is. There is no logical inconsistency in being excited for something even if you have reservations about some aspect of that thing. Excitement is subjective. We're all here to have fun, not win an argument. As a final footnote, the moderation team tries to be as unobtrusive as possible. Do not mistake this with being inactive. As always if you have an issue, report it to us. The team will review and take the steps deemed necessary to address any issues that break the forum rules.

The Weird, Random or Interesting Things That Fit Nowhere Else Thread

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I thought these were some pretty fun "Bizarre Magic" performances. -
I think that Judge Doom/Killer Toon stuff (which isn't from the book, "Who Censored Roger Rabbit" but not much of the film is other than the basic characters and set-ups) is an attempt to capture the switcheroo of who killed Sam Spade's partner, Archer, in the Maltese Falcon - for better or worse. I've not seen Knock, Knock yet - so it may be radically different despite what I've read. But I've been led to believe its pretty true to the original. I'll see Knock, Knock eventually, I'm sure!

Historically, LA had a notoriously corrupt police and judicial system at the time the film is set. In the 1930s (about a decade before the film was set), the LAPD had a "Red Squad" that regularly attacked and beat up (and destroyed the property of) anyone they thought was a communist. The LAPD didn't really begin to get cleaned up until Chief Parker was elected in 1950 (about 3 years after the movie was set) but even then was considered to be too quick to use force and racist to non-whites. This, combined with the second-class citizen status afforded Toons and the rather free reign Judge Doom was established as having, established enough that it didn't seem to be that big of a deal to me. I think the surprise reveal isn't that Judge Doom is the bad guy (or a bad guy), but that he's actually the Toon that killed Eddie's partner.

	1) I'm not sure why you'd think a Disney movie (even if it was via Touchstone) using their own plus WB and HB cartoon characters (and a number of others) would be anything other than a family film. Sure they snuck some double entendre's in (booby trap?) but this was pure family entertainment. 2) Even without that, why would someone named Judge Doom NOT be the villain of the story? 3) The film establishes that Toons are treated differently (given the story is an allegory on race relations) and that Judge Doom has been given a free hand to "clean up" Toontown, hence why Doom has the authority to dip toons that don't comply without interference from other legal authorities - he is the legal authority in Toontown.

There's one going around where someone calls the elderly claiming to be a grandchild in need of having some money wired to bail them out of jail. They hang up if pushed for details, of course, but presumably there's enough grandparents getting hooked to make it continue.

Knock, Knock (2015) + Likeable main actors and the women are beautiful. + You dont know how it will end. + Thriller or Horror depending on your view. If you think how cruel it is and everything that happens I would say Horror. + Nudity you will see breasts etc. and I certainly pay attention to them. + Realistic. - Well it is not a super movie and a bit simple story. My vote: 7/10 good movie Heartily recommend Knock Knock, you never know how it's going to play out. Unless, you know, you saw the original film Death Game (1977) that Knock, Knock is a remake of. I think most of the film comes over similarly in the remake from the original from what I've read (haven't seen the remake so couldn't confirm) excepting the coda ending.

Yes, the original robot was part of the ship; Dr. Smith sabotaged it to try to destroy the ship (but in so doing, accidentally trapped himself on the ship). In the Episode, "The Mechanical Men", however, it is implied that the Robot may have been built using alien technology (the same technology used for the Mechanical Men) which could also explain some of the unusual abilities B-9 shows throughout the series (although you could handwave most of that by saying "advanced technology", the coincidence of the Mechanical Man remained unresolved, despite The Robot saying it knew why the robots looked like him.)
 -
Not terribly excited over the look of the 'Robot'.

Have you emailed support@obsidian.net? You will need to provide them your identification information as well (the playfab ID) so they can check your specific account. Since I don't have the PC version, someone else might post if there's something else or something alternative you'll need to email them with.

Delta was founded in Lousiana in the 1920s. They moved to Atlanta in the 1940s.

Yeah but Hellboy 2 wasn't just about the fish man lovin'. There was also the demon guy's relationship problems with the pyrokinetic woman and the new boss who was having trouble controlling his employees. And the evil elf dude trying to loose an unstoppable army on the world bit.

The Amphibian Man movie - and again I know of the movie and the book but haven't seen or read them - has been accused of having a Romeo and Juliet doomed romance; I don't know if that carries over from the book or not. Arguably girl-loves-"monster" as a concept can be traced back to at least La Belle et la Bête for fiction, but of course there are earlier folk tales that could be considered antecedents as well...

There's also an assumption inherent in the comments that divorce is only ever instigated by the wife in a marriage who is leaving an abusive relationship with a husband who is "awful people". Its a reductive argument to the point of pointlessness. -
I know it only be reputation, but I'm pretty sure the film you reference is Amphibian Man (Человеκ-aмфибия) based on a book by the same name; "The Sea Devil" was the hit song from it. From the sound of it to me, and I haven't see it either, The Shape of Water is one part Amphibian Man, one part Creature of the Black Lagoon (or more specifically, Revenge of the Creature where the Creature falls for a girl, albeit with less romantic results).

Lets try and keep the thread from going too far off topic, yes? Way Off Topic would be a better forum to discuss things not terribly related to PoEII. -
IIRC the ending fell flat for me. Haven't seen it since I watched it in the theaters though.

I'm pretty sure that so far DC's cumulative effort is akin in 'dragon movie' terms to Eragon (2006) - critically panned, mildly successful returns on budget.
