  1. I wasn't advocating for either, just thinking that treason wouldn't be the right charge. Thanks, I seemed to remember that sedition was scaled back, but couldn't find online how, so when thinking about it sedition seemed a 'better' fit to the actions if one were to charge anyone for such a thing than treason.
  2. Regarding the anonymous Op-Ed, wouldn't it technically be considered (if one went that route) as sedition rather than treason? Treason in the US is - if I understand it correctly - limited to levying war against the US and/or giving comfort and aid to its enemies, so I'm pretty sure it'd be difficult to prove the Op-Ed was treasonous given that narrow definition. And if I'm correct they'd be trying to to prove it was seditious rather than treasonous, the statements would have to be proven false, scandalous and malicious with the intent to bring the President into disrepute. If I understand correctly.
  3. I'm not Amentep but I'm pretty sure that is Hazel Brooks. Yup, Hazel Brooks is correct!
  4. At the risk of quoting myself...as the thread continued to go off topic, the utility of the thread is gone, and the last posts have been removed.
  5. I wasn't referencing any user specifically. The thread, as I read it, has only referenced the review offsite. However, my concern was that the review itself could spawn directly discriminatory remarks that would then required moderator intervention. Consider it a friendly intervention to hopefully prevent a full-on thread derail.
  6. A friendly reminder that insulting other members isn't allowed. We ask that the users of this board treat one another with respect, even when opinions differ. And while a lot of the commentary is about an off-site review with questionable turns of phrase, since I'm already here I'll point out that Obsidian has a zero-tolerance policy with regard to racial, ethnic, gender, religious, disablement, and/or sexually discriminating remarks.
  7. I have deleted posts again. If you wish to start a psychoanalysis group, please do so elsewhere. Otherwise post about what members post about, not about the members. And if you think you are achieving something on the internet by starting or continuing 'grudges' by making personal attacks here you are sorely mistaken.
  8. I've cleaned this thread up. Don't keep insulting one another and expect a thread to stay open, even if you are posting about a potential bug.
  9. I've cleaned up the last few posts. Please try to be constructive in your comments.
  10. This reminded me that I'd read some stories not long ago about Iceland having a problem with tourists pooping wherever they're at while traveling. https://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/nature_and_travel/2017/04/05/icelandic_farmer_outraged_as_tourist_poops_next_to_/ https://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/nature_and_travel/2018/06/20/tourist_poops_outside_public_lavatory_in_north_icel/ http://icelandreview.com/news/2015/07/13/tourist-defecation-problem-resurfaces https://grapevine.is/news/2017/06/27/tourist-caught-pooping-10-metres-from-busy-highway/ https://grapevine.is/news/2017/06/14/locals-disgusted-tourists-excrete-on-kindergarten/ That's on top of the tourists camping in gardens, in bird watching sheds and doing crazy things like climbing out onto dangerous rocks above falls to take a selfie.
  11. I wasn't saying that everyone should have read it. And indeed the FIG campaign wording was never changed that I could tell as I mentioned (and just flipping through the updates, I don't see the clarification in one of them, but it might be there and I skimmed past it). I can't remember if Josh posted about it on one of his regular posting areas either. So I agree most backers would never know about it unless they read the thread here. Like I said it seems like they never really got the word out about it even though they clarified in a thread here, unfortunately for both backers and Obsidian both. I happened to remember the thread where Aarik D talked about it, though, and thought it worth pointing out that it wasn't a last minute change (which, in a way, makes it all the more frustrating, I'm sure, that the information didn't seem to distribute to backers widely).
  12. It does state a physical copy is in there. During the campaign this was changed or clarified, though: It sounds like at some point after this they decided to not go the steam installer disc and just activation code. Hi Merany! Sorry for the confusion about the wording of the Physical Box Tier. We're going to get that corrected. What it should say is that you will not get an additional digital key. When the game launches, you will also receive an email with the same digital key that will be in the physical box. So you won't have to wait until your package arrives to start playing. As AndreaColombo has pointed out, maintaining patches for dvd backers was a real struggle for us. In the past, we were not able to release a installer patch in a timely manner and it would cause a disconnect between physical and digital users. The reason why the disc comes with a Steam installer is that our primary focus now is to get future content, features, and bug fixes to all users in a timely manner. I'm thinking that maybe they never got the wording on the Fig site altered to pass this clarification on, I guess.
  13. If you believe a post is trolling, please report it rather than calling another member a troll, telling another member to stop trolling and/or trying to pick a fight with another member. I've posted once - on this very page - requesting everyone keep on topic rather than sniping at one another personally; if the utility of the thread is exhausted such that productive conversation is no longer to be had, we can lock the thread.
  14. If it is a bug, I can move it to the bug forum, but for now since the question and answer might contain spoilers I've moved it from the non-spoiler section of the POEII
  15. Keep the conversation to the topic at hand and not attacking the other posters. I've edited posts to remove personal sniping but hopefully keep the context of the conversation. A simple guide, if your post includes some comment about the lack of intelligence of another poster, you're on the wrong track for posting here.
  16. Please keep your comments directed to other posters posts and not to the poster themselves. This includes diagnosing mental or physical states over the internet. I have deleted several posts from this thread for that reason.
  17. I haven't seen any new directives, so I'd suggest emailing support@obsidian.net regarding the issue.
  18. This isn't a bug. Please use the existing complaint thread for POTD: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/105036-petition-do-we-want-to-see-the-game-made-harder-on-potd-on-the-late-levels-please-voice-your-concern-here/page-5
  19. No condescension was intended, and I apologize if you perceived what I wrote or my word choice in a condescending manner. This thread is an update to physical reward backers about fulfillment of those rewards. This does not make the thread exclusive to only physical reward backers anymore than the thread would be closed to people who didn't even back POEII. In short, there is no open thread in an open forum on these boards that are not open for all users to post in. There is no 'gatekeeping' on threads. A person posting in this thread something like "I wish I'd backed at the physical reward tier, the rewards look awesome" is just as valid as posting a question as to "why does anyone still want physical copies of a game?" The former may lead to someone, for example, helping the poster connect with physical rewards in the secondary market, the later may lead to posts - as it did - that explains why some people may be reliant on physical editions of games. What I wished to convey, ultimately, and seemed to have missed the mark is that we request if you have an issue with a post or poster that rather than telling other users where they can/cannot post and acting as a self-moderator of these threads or forums, please report the post or contact the mods instead. Telling other posters that they cannot post in an open thread as a fellow user is at best not going to solve whatever issue is at hand and at worst is going to start a fight between you and other users. My apologies again if my message was lost in the delivery.
  20. Maybe they hired Brian Van Hoose at his "slop and go" rates? To be serious, I agree with those who say those pictures look like the quality you get with pre-painted figs - in fact they look a lot like the BETRAYAL AT THE HOUSE ON THE HILL set of mini-figures from what I've seen of the POEII figs.
  21. Why on earth are you even in this thread? This is for people who SPECIFICALLY paid more for physical items, including the game, box, book, etc. Your comment could not be more irrelevant. Maybe stick to threads where your opinion provides some value. This is not it. Please allow me to disabuse you of the notion that any thread on the Obsidian forum is not SPECIFICALLY for all posters. Threads here are open to all users to comment on their own opinions and/or experiences. Why on earth are you even in this thread? This is for people who SPECIFICALLY paid more for physical items, including the game, box, book, etc. Your comment could not be more irrelevant. Maybe stick to threads where your opinion provides some value. This is not it. lol. Triggered much, huh? Please discuss points, ideas, anecdotal evidence, gut feelings, facts and theoretical constructs not what motivations you've created in your mind as to why another posted may have posted what they posted.
