  1. You should probably be able to set more than one trap but there still should be a cap on it. Though I'm kind of interested on how overpowered putting down multiple petrification traps would be. Unless they reduce the duration on that.
  2. Wizards can still just throw Spectacle on a group and solo the entire group because they're now killing each other. It works on bosses. Wizurd gurbuge. Also the sleep spell that works on only enemies? It's garbage. Even though it works on bosses. Garbage. Who would use a wizard.
  3. My unique character is into body modding, yet there is no portrait that has tattoos, piercings, scarifications, horn implants and genital pearls. What the hell obsidian? How can I immerse myself into the game now? I had to make a custom portrait in photoshop that had such features, but then I ran into another problem! There's no voice set that sounds exactly like Chali 2na - and my character sounds exactly like him! Now I have to spend hours cutting lines from his songs to make my character concept work.
  4. This picture is of Gorion, mage of Candlekeep. Gorion died due to spamming magic missiles on a highly dangerous warrior. Now Gorion's ghost haunts, and because you saw this image he is aware of you and will cast magic missiles on you if you do not share this message with five of your friends. A Chicago man saw this message, and did not share. He was found in his apartment severely annoyed. Do not let this happen to you!
  5. Hazarding a wild guess here, but I'm guessing that somewhere along the line in development Cadegund morphed into what is Durance today. Which is...interesting, to say the least.
  6. Looking at this thread it becomes painfully obvious how easy it is to play puppet master on the internet these days, considering on how many people seem to be parroting the same buzz words and phrases they read from whatever gamergate source they use. It's rather obvious to an outsider from the "movement" to see how many people inside it are either trolls that love to see people outraged over something that doesn't exist, such as the fake tweet in the op, or astroturfers who are using the "movement" for who knows what gain.
  7. Wow, that does sound a really overpowered item. Should be nerfed to just one shade. Of course, I do think shades and their variations should have their stats looked at too, they're pretty ridiculous at the moment.
  8. Hahaha yeah I know. I like Josh less and less every day. I thought he was a serious developer . I dislike him mainly for indulging to the liberal crowd, but also for over-engineering the combat system EDIT: Also I feel the guy has an inferiority complex towards Avellone.... watch those press videos with all the developers and you will see Josh's face twitch every time Chris A. speaks of him What the hell is wrong with you, making this so personal?
  9. I'd change stealth so it's not party wide, and make trap and hidden object detection have a wider range. Otherwise I'm pretty pleased with the system.
  10. "Actually this forum section is about Pillars of Eternity." it was a joke since the image in the op is fake as **** and this is just some gamergate ****er trying to latch onto another game for attention, just like the sjws they oh so hate good grief the irony is burning like the sun with this stuff
  11. If we get modding tools they will be third-party, due to the nature of Unity Engine. I wouldn't hold my breath for mods that add new locations either, since that's gonna be tough as heck to do. Probably will see a ton of mods that add new companions, items, balance changes and the like as those are easier to do (though probably not as easy as IE games). The mod forum will probably come, when there's much more discussion about modding in general. Right now there's very few mods and not a lot of discussion about it. That'll most likely change as more people beat the game.
  12. Both sides of this outrage are extremely annoying, as they clutch onto buzz words and use any social media "war" as an excuse to voice their opinions in a loud and obnoxious manner, because they know they are ignored in the real world and nobody ultimately cares at all. One side just has added irony to it as they are essentially outraged over an outrage, and write on how the other side is going too far, yet they take that step to go too far themselves as quick as they can. Ultimately this is not about artistic integrity, this is not about self-entitlement, it was a comedic poem in an optional piece of content inside a video game that some people could deem offensive. Obsidian asked the backer if they wanted to do something about it, the backer chose to change his poem to something else that mocks the whole situation. He did not lose money, he was not forced to change it. He chose to change it himself. Luckily this will all die down in like a few days or a week and nobody will barely remember anything because that's how these things go in these dumb internet squabbles.
  13. The combat in this Mario game is horrible. Having to jump all the time gets really boring. Why can't I kick the enemies, or shoot them with a TEC-9? Throwing flaming flower buds, whaaaat? I was loving the game's story, and Mario's relationship with his estranged brother Luigi, but this repetitive combat system is just ruining the game for me. 7/10, would not play again.
  14. I am outraged that Obsidian caved into outrage. Outrageous. Lewd. Lascivious. Salacious. Outrageous. I hate these twitter SJWs, all the do is complain on twitter all day and night. Going to make some angry tweets now!
  15. I'm dedicating my whole fortune (144,000 bitcoins) to taking down Obsidian - I just sent all of it to Bob Odenkirk and am hiring him as my lawyer. Everyone else should do the same, I'm sure we can win this battle against this giant evil corporate monstrosity that we took part in creating. Say goodbye to the video game industry you pompous buffoons #aynrand #libertariansunite
  16. Some caves probably have obsidian in them because of all that volcanic activity, just a shower thought
  17. dem sjws took meh funneh poem, wun stan' for dis shiat, obsidian moar like ob****tyan!!! i am taking my copy of teh game and putting it in teh toilet cos thats teh place for it now, fo real though i gotta run toilet.exe and drag the shortcut there coz i only got a digital copy. oh wait the backer agreed to have it removed and submitted a new poem?? what a liberal poopoohead
  18. So enlight us. WHAT is the difference between the core game code from today and a MUD code from 1975 if you take away the graphic? It's some movement and animation code and the graphic engine ... which is not involved into something like the "save game crash bug" or "stats bug". The entire coding language for one. And it is not "just some movement and animation and graphics" - where the hell do you think the gameplay comes from? If it was just that, all games would be walking simulators with nice graphics. But if you actually think you can use the code of a 70's MUD to make a AAA game, go ahead and try. Especially if you're talking about Colossal Cave Adventure, which is an incredibly simple game, even for a text adventure. I would say that even the most simple text adventures released on online indie stores are more complex than that game was. I seriously would love to see you use the code for a text prompt game to make a modern graphics-based game. Seriously. I am actually so flabbergasted at your statement that I feel like I'm being troll baited but whatever.
  19. Most of the time, dispositions are not tied to stats. The most common exception is might, which is tied to aggressive a lot of the time. And I -think- there are a couple of resolve checks which give you passionate disposition, and int checks that might have been either clever or deceptive?
  20. I like quite a few of the suggestions in this thread. I'd also really like a talent for paladins that changes your Faith and Conviction into an offensive ability, similar to Aggrandizing Radiance for priests.
  21. You can sell Gaun's Pledge to Heodan for a nice pile of money at the start. And The Disappointer if you know where to find that.
  22. As long as it passes testing it's supposed to come out today, yes.
