I got bored with the game at around chapter 1. Too many orcs, too many thieves, too many freaking bladelings. That said, starting as a cleric and completely botching all interactions sort of amounted to that as well. I'll probably start from the beginning, as a warlock.

Wait till you try Shivering Isles. I just finished it, I'm still giggling like mad. Final battle was awesome and so was all the plot leading up to that. There was really only one complaint that worth mentioning - not enough main villain. I would have liked to see more of him before ending his corporeal existence, but whatever. Best thing since Bloodmoon.

I still think that the people who rate these things only watch/read the first volume. Case in point, we used to have Scions of Darkness in the kid part of our library. Not that any the toddlers there understood the tentacle parts.

I liked Blue Meanie as well. I saw TMNT a couple of days ago and was pleasantly surprised, it felt like watching the hour-long pilot for the 80's animation series but zounds better. Only nitpick I could come up with was the vo, some of it was rather obnoxious and I thought only two of the turtle voices fit, nevermind that somebody had decided react Tartarus, chieftain of the Brutes, as a olmec stone statue. Overall, I felt like I was reading good old Eastman-Laird craftwork again. *puff*

It's usually a good thing to check beforehand on Wikipedia or some dedicated site like Anidb or ANN before downloading something you don't know much about. Otherwise you'll just end up downloading tentacle hentai. Also, do yourself a favor: watch Honey and Clover(Hatchimitsu to Clover), I'm just starting but so far it's awesome.

I don't think it's the textures, rather the lighting and especially in the faces of people that is off. It's like everything is overlighted, burned. It doesn't bother that much in the marker streets of Hong Kong undes the neon glow, but I'd guess that the jungles might be an entirely different beast.
