Bioshock!
Go for it. It's spellbinding, although I'd guess the constant of kill-big-daddy-deal-with-sister-buy-moar-skillz might get tiring eventually. That said, I've killed about 4 big daddies and all of those battles were interesting and challenging. Except when I found that one type(Bouncer, IIRC) is crazily vulnerable to electric shotgun shells. And they aren't that bad against the others as well. It looks like the further I play, the more varied the features and the affective forces in battle become. Every new enemy has been a trial and error affair(with the exception of certain grenade throwers and telekinesis). The game also has the best voice acting ever, with maybe the exception of Outcast and Mafia.

WOWOW did that horrible Devil May Cry...thing, so I'm not really antsy for Baccano.

The Return of the son of The Comic Thread
You haven't read Western "manga", have you? I'd dare to call manga a genre if you go by the viewpoint of that...thing's demographic. It's atrocious, relies purely on cliches and tired conventions that were already established back in the 80's of Drego Bowel and tries to meet the needs of the market, never try its wings. Somebody mentioned Valerien and Laureline in good light, I concur. I grew up reading French-Belgian comics, absolutely consuming some authors and they're completely underappreciated. I've thinking of acquiring a couple of compilations, but it's not like it's easy from here and without a credit card. Also, Xardy needs to lay off Kafty, he's taking this thing way too seriously. I totally need to sample that Finnish translation of Lieber's works, not because our translators are good in anyway(because they aren't), but that cover screams of me to read it. There has yet to be a game that Molyneux didn't overhype.

It's good to see that video games are going in the right direction.
I went there once, on my trip to Jylland. It was sort of interesting, but probably the most costly theme park I've ever visited.

Bioshock!
After about six hours of playing, I'm pretty sure that I have to wait another 7 years for a game as immersive as this.

The Return of the son of The Comic Thread
It's mine, MIIINE! The original is fantastic pulp fantasy. Supposedly Lankhmar(and Grey Mouser himself) worked as an inspiration for Thief:The Dark Project, China Mieville(of Perdido Street Station-fame) also vows in its name. I've got to find the comic. Joten, mist

Why not try Welcome to NHK? It's surrealistic(because the main character does a ton of acid), awkward and pitying for its characters(because two of them are otakus, one is a chem reliant depression victim, yet another joins an internet suicide cult) and astoundly hilarious at parts(especially when the main character gets addicted to eroges and everytime he hallucinates when on trip). I watch Genshiken because I think the jabs are funny, the characters don't carry their wieght entirely yet, except for Saki. Well, it's not like the anime is anywhere near the manga in plot lenght yet.

Boy threw a sausage
It is astoundly hilarious, how they use the word "victim" for someone who was assaulted on the shoulder with a punch of cooked meat(meat?, you never know with Euro sausages). I resent that, the best sausages in the world are made in Italy, everyone knows that. Hey, I'm from the nation that uses the least amount of meat in thier sausages, allegedly only 21% in the most popular one, I'm not blaming us Euros for anything, I actually enjoy the meatless meat.

I came back from my uni to do a final check on things home before moving on the great academic beyond. And what do I find? My friend has bought Bioshock. Guess what I'm doing the next 10 hours?

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/new...ng_sausage.html Continuing the great Obsidz tradition of complete obscure news, in the vein of ravaging squirrels and plotting sports stars, is this little gem. It is astoundly hilarious, how they use the word "victim" for someone who was assaulted on the shoulder with a punch of cooked meat(meat?, you never know with Euro sausages).
