  1. I've always loved the artwork from IWD. It was a seriously underrated game.
  2. It's definitely action fluff. Still, I like a good action flick, so no prob. For some reason, I thought this was a game. I was greatly disappointed to find it's a movie.
  3. So is saying Lucas deserves a 10.
  4. I'm wondering this myself. If we want a thread for some of the remarkable Obsidian images, from concept to in-game, then why can't the members create a thread for it? Then, hopefully, some of the artists might post in it. I can't believe that none of Obs artists have a website with work they've done over the years. Some of it has to be fair game to post, even if they can't show stuff from NWN2 or NJ.
  5. Okay, I expect this sort of thing out of Mr. Gutman, but not from the rest of you. If you don't stop all this, then baley himself will visit this thread, then it will only go downhill. Back on topic or the thread gets it! The link is.... weird. Clearly, however, they were wrong. Lucas is underrated. He gets a 10.
  6. heh, I almost feel as if I could participate in the hockey talk around here, what with all the info I get from the thread.
  7. You know, back in the day, a heavy metal band would have been throwing more than eggs back at some rowdy fans. I mean, what happened to the Iron Maiden of my youth? Where was that huge, hulking vehicle that they used to drive around on-stage? Throw eggs at a heavy metal band, eat a guitar and then get ready for the brass knuckles. I see their outrage, but I'm mostly worried about the fools lighting fires at the concert. They're only about 15 minutes away from my house. I guess Iron Maiden isn't the only one getting old.
  8. Great song. Run to the hills Run for your life!
  9. I'm afraid that I, also, vote with Vol. Kate is cute. She's also sexy, sultry, and stunning. Not to mention that I love the dark hair and eyes with fair/pale skin look. whewww. Oops, wife just got home. gota go.
  10. Have fun on vacation, RP. Drive crazy and take chances. :D
  11. downloading as we speak. I have no idea was Aeon Flux is, but I'll watch the trailer.
  12. Yeah, I hear you, DDrabek, your song was clearly better. The violence was a little more graphic in your lyrics, though. Very weird, very interesting story, though. Kind of chilling, really. ...And much better than the dark goth or whatever. To be fair, though, I have deleted some of the more graphic dark goth lyrics also. Here's another of my favorite Pink Floyd songs: Comfortably Numb Hello, Is there anybody in there Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone at home Come on now I hear you're feeling down I can ease your pain And get you on your feet again Relax I'll need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more aaaaaaaah! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good That'll keep you going through the show Come on it's time to go. There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone And I have become Comfortably numb.
  13. Ah, no big deal. If it's posted somewhere else, it's posted again here to widen the coverage. Anyhow, question asked and answered.
  14. Hurlshot, I've sent two PMs to you. Have you received them? Respond here and I'll PM our friendly Guildmaster on your behalf if it seems you cannot.
  15. I don't believe so, but we can hope my scaley friend or admin sees this. Hell, some of the members and mods know a lot about these boards. ShadowStrider has quite a bit of experience with the board software.
  16. I think admin was worried that folks would spam WoT for no other purpose than to raise their post counts and thus increase their levels. HA! Shows them. Folks spam WoT anyhow. :D
  17. that's because you've only posted in WoT for the past couple of weeks. WoT posts don't count. I'm going to shoot you a PM right now and maybe we can get to the bottom of the PM thing without calling on the Lords of IT.
  18. Sounds like fun. Sign me up for this one.
  19. Egads, posts edited. For shame, Laozi. Don't speculate on where folks sit, in what the sit, or how they enjoy teletubbies while they sit. It's too early in the evening to issue a formal warning, but that just wasn't cool. On the flip side, no lyrics got the chop today. Some dark, some funny, and a few kind of strange. Keep the lyrics and the discussion going, friends.
  20. And here is a simple song I quite enjoy. Once again, a chance to sing. Fortunately, the wife isn't so angry when forwarned. I indulge myself in believing I have a pleasant singing voice. DUKE. I am a courtier grave and serious Who is about to kiss your hand: Try to combine a pose imperious With a demeanour nobly bland. MAR. and Let us combine a pose imperious GIU. With a demeanour nobly bland. (Marco and Giuseppe endeavour to carry out his instructions.) DUKE. That's, if anything, too unbending-- Too aggressively stiff and grand; (They suddenly modify their attitudes.) Now to the other extreme you're tending-- Don't be so deucedly condescending! DUCH. and Now to the other extreme you're tending-- CAS. Don't be so dreadfully condescending! MAR. and Oh, hard to please some noblemen seem! GIU. At first, if anything, too unbending; Off we go to the other extreme-- Too confoundedly condescending! DUKE. Now a gavotte perform sedately-- Offer your hand with conscious pride; Take an attitude not too stately, Still sufficiently dignified. MAR. and Now for an attitude not too stately, GIU. Still sufficiently dignified. (They endeavour to carry out his instructions.) DUKE (beating Oncely, twicely--oncely, twicely-- time). Bow impressively ere you glide. (They do so.) Capital both, capital both--you've caught it nicely! That is the style of thing precisely! DUCH. and Capital both, capital both--they've caught it nicely! CAS. That is the style of thing precisely! MAR. and Oh, sweet to earn a nobleman's praise! GIU. Capital both, capital both--we've caught it nicely! Supposing he's right in what he says, This is the style of thing precisely! (Gavotte. At the end exeunt Duke and Duchess, leaving Casilda with Marco and Giuseppe.)
  21. Since we're on a Gilbert and Sullivan kick, here's my favorite song: Enter Police, marching in single file. They form in line, facing audience. SERGEANT, with POLICE. When the foeman bares his steel, Tarantara! tarantara! We uncomfortable feel, Tarantara! And we find the wisest thing, Tarantara! tarantara! Is to slap our chests and sing, Tarantara! For when threatened with emeutes, Tarantara! tarantara! And your heart is in your boots, Tarantara! There is nothing brings it round Like the trumpet's martial sound, Like the trumpet's martial sound ALL. Tarantara! tarantara!, etc. MABEL. Go, ye heroes, go to glory, Though you die in combat gory, Ye shall live in song and story. Go to immortality! Go to death, and go to slaughter; Die, and every Cornish daughter With her tears your grave shall water. Go, ye heroes, go and die! GIRLS. Go, ye heroes, go and die! SERGEANT, with POLICE. Though to us it's evident, Tarantara! tarantara! These attentions are well meant, Tarantara! Such expressions don't appear, Tarantara! tarantara! Calculated men to cheer, Tarantara! Who are going to meet their fate In a highly nervous state. Tarantara! tarantara! tarantara! Still to us it's evident These attentions are well meant. Tarantara! tarantara! tarantara! EDITH. Go and do your best endeavour, And before all links we sever, We will say farewell for ever. Go to glory and the grave! GIRLS. Go to glory and the grave! For your foes are fierce and ruthless, False, unmerciful, and truthless; Young and tender, old and toothless, All in vain their mercy crave. SERG. We observe too great a stress, On the risks that on us press, And of reference a lack To our chance of coming back. Still, perhaps it would be wise Not to carp or criticise, For it's very evident These attentions are well meant. POLICE. Yes, it's very evident These attentions are well meant, etc. ENSEMBLE. CHORUS OF ALL BUT POLICE. CHORUS OF POLICE. Go ye heroes, go to glory, etc When the foeman bears his steel, etc. GEN. Away, away! POLICE. (without moving) Yes, yes, we go. GEN. These pirates slay. POLICE. Tarantara! GEN. Then do not stay. POLICE. Tarantara! GEN. Then why this delay? POLICE. All right, we go. Yes, forward on the foe! GEN. Yes, but you don't go! POLICE. We go, we go Yes, forward on the foe! GEN. Yes, but you don't go! ALL. At last they really go! Exeunt Police. I had the chance to irritate my wife by singing the song just now. heh heh
  22. Actually, I've been quite happy with my Radeon 9800pro. It still handles whatever I throw at it.
  23. You people are silly, At any rate, C is really the Roman version of K. It's the same sound. Unfortunately, the C in most of our languages seems to have taken on double duty as a k and s sound. Nuts. What's really funny is reading a Roman rant about folks who fail to pronounce the letter H. Comedy. It's not 'Arry Potter. It's HHHHarry Potter. The Greeks didn't even have a letter. They just aspirated vowels according to an aspiration mark or memory. Anyhow, to get back to the topic at hand, I think we must simply accept that nations will look after their own interests. What would serve everyone better is to find ways to make our interests coincide with the world as a whole. Since we're talking fantasy land, I think we should also make Mickey Mouse our supreme ruler. :waits for someone to make a clever joke as if he hadn't seen it coming a mile away:
  24. overrated: being a moderator overrated: being a troll underrated: laughing at my friend pixiesrock :Eldar's pointing at Pixies and laughing icon: hahahaha
  25. As you can see, I like to get the last word. The thread is closed. You guys can go cool down and rejoin the fray as soon as your tempers allow. Although the noob sheriff badge was funny, it had to go also. I'm taking my own advice and waiting until I discuss the issue with the other mods before I take actions, such as warnings. I, also, would like a chance to cool down and think over this issue.
