  1. This has been brought up before, and discussed before. To use Empire Strikes Back as a analogy is inaccurate; to use Matrix 2 is. KotOR2 leaves many unanswered questions to your immediate situation, the story of KotOR2, unanswered. This is bad story telling. Empire Strikes Back wrapps everything up -- by the end of the movie you know exactly what happened, what and why the characters where trying to accomplish their goals and everybodies role and fate in the *immediate* story. You did not have to watch Return of the Jedi in order to understand ESB. There are questions left unanswered, but it gives the viewer the chance to ask "what's next?", just as the end of KotORI did. Matrix 2 *requires* you to watch Matrix 3 in order to understand the motives and fates of the characters to the situations created in the 2nd movie. This is bad story telling. At the end of the movie you are left with a sense of "what the...!?". The end of KotOR2 offers a "what's next?", but a great deal is left to create many instances of "what the...!?". If I have to buy KotOR3 in order to understand the immediate fates of certain characters in KotOR2, or why they were important to the immediate situation, then that is *very* bad story telling. That is what people are having difficulting with.
  2. You never construct a second. You have to find others.
  3. 1. The Navicomputer was voice locked to prevent anyone from discovering where the Ebon Hawk had been, before it reached Peragus. T3 was protecting this information. The last person who had the oppotunity to voicelock everything was either Kreia or Revan. Who exactly did it is unclear. 2&3. They are generic assassin droids. Haliburton could be building them for all we know. Their master is not clear. The becon does not appear to be activated (I've heard of nobody who has had that done)... it appears to be one of the dangling threads at the end. 4. HK-47 was trying to unlock the navicomputer, T3 was protecting the information. The fact that HK-47 doesn't seem to care that a little runt just kicked his butt, when you talk to him next, is another head scratcher.
  4. starwarskid, please stop spamming the thread. You've asked the question (3 times now). If somebody knows, and they want to share, then they will post it; and I will update the master list.
  5. The shortest time I've heard is just just over 30 hours. It took me 42 hours. ... and Sion is your father! Muhahahahahaha!
  6. They just appear. If they are not, try walking between an area which requires the game to load. Plenty of those on the station.
  7. Manual? Is that the strange thing made of that creepy paper substance I found inside my game box?
  8. It would be nice if they did, but is highly unlikely. The financial lagistics involved would be greater then that of the initial release and quite possibly larger then that of development. Once it is out there, there is little one can do.
  9. The XBox doesn't work that way. It is impossible to do this with an out-of-box XBox. There would be no faster way to lose their development license then for Obsidian or LucasArts to encourage people to modify their XBox. Unless the game is physically looking for alternate data, library or executables on the hard drive, having any such files there is useless. It is my understanding that Microsoft does not allow such things to begin with -- it would be a rather security flaw if they did (which I wouldn't put buy Microsoft).
  10. So, go to your party selection screen and put them back in your party.
  11. That sure would be nice. *cough*hint*cough* I saw a Moderator running around here earlier. Maybe they'll help us out.
  12. Thanks Maria. Many good points towards a some of the questions I still had. The major plot pieces are falling better into place with all the feedback. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up what I'm still missing in my new game.
  13. But that is no fun! The code isn't all that hard. Just look closely at the final numbers and how the actions change everything, You have 4 columns which are divided into 3 "blocks". Block 1 is column 1,2 - Block 2 is column 2,3 - Block 3 is column 3,4. You can rotate these blocks in one of two directions, so you just need to look closely at how those rotations will effect the numbers. While I do not remember the exact sequence, I *believe* it was: - I do not remember the direction they were rotated.
  14. Asked this a while back and the only response I got was "I don't think so". Thankfully, we've found a few Influence loops so you can at least build up as much Influence as you want on a few characters.
  15. Is that feature supposed to exist this time around? I never noticed the option on the character select screen. All my first game saves are in the final push to the end, and all my second game saves are on Peragus right now, so I can't double check. I'll look when I get to Nar Shaddaa.
  16. It might be for sale somewhere, but the HK's you run into are the primary source for parts. You should kick their butts.
  17. So, you would prefer that the Devs post here instead of working on getting the PC release ready. Okay. YO! DEVS! Screw the release and just post here, so everyone can feel loved.
  18. There are a few threads floating around here trying to figure out if it is a batch of game disks, or maybe XBox versions. I can't remember how old mine is, but at least so far it appears to be the "magical version" for KotOR games since I've never ran into any of the bugs in KotOR and only mild trouble with KotOR2. I only saw slowdowns when I was in a cave (Dantooine and Korriban). You might want to try you disk on another XBox, or maybe try trading in the disk. I know this is the standard cop-out answer always thrown around, but it is at least a mildly good first step.
  19. I'm not sure that console actually does anything. I can't remember off the top of my head. If you don't mind, possibly, burning about 30-60 minutes then just keep going forward. Enter the underground complex and go through that. It may be that the actual shutdown was done there (again... long time ago, I can't really remember).
  20. I used an Orange and Green my first play. I can't remember if the XBox version ever got the Orange crystal in the downloaded content of KotOR1, but I never used it when I played the PC version. I had to at least once! I guess this next time I need to look for that Silver though.
  21. To get the story moving forward on Nar Shaddaa it can be a bit tricky. To get the women reunited with her husband you will need to clear the guards out... all of them. Speak with Exchange boss there and piss him off. You'll be able to target all the guards then. Dek Dek Jar will come into play later. But how to move the story forward. I say it is tricky because I hate Pazaak. It was useless in the first game and just ended up pissing me off (how the hell did he just get 20!?). But you *have* to play Pazaak on Nar Shaddaa -- or rather, you need to somehow move up the Pazaak ladder. To do it without actually playing: When you've done all that, the champ will come out of retirement. You can play him once easily (I am not sure if I just got lucky, or if he really is that easy the first time). The story will continue the next time you exit.
  22. WOW. What did you have in it? A lot of people do. You are at all alone.
  23. As a Lightside Watchman I would through out a Stasis. I would then use the second Force Supress on any Sith Masters who didn't freeze up, followed by a Whirlwind and then take him out. I'd follow up by taking down everyone else. As a DS you're obviously doing things differently, but the general tactic of removing as many people from the picture as possible and only dealing with them one a time holds.
