  1. RT, you are absolutely, positively the greatest. Thank you SO much for spending the time to type all that out. I really appreciate it. I'm gonna take ol' Disciple through his paces once more and see if I can't use this information to sway him into being my "right hand man" as a Sith fiend. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! -- Scott
  2. That's what I wondered. When I first met him, I was pretty darn darkside (well, bottomed out, actually). I ended the conversation immediately and lost Influence. I reloaded and tried over and over again, and everything I did in the initial conversation lost at least one hit of Influence. I could follow up with a lot of dialogue that gained Influence before moving on. In fact, I even discussed training him to be a Jedi. But I can't seem to get him to budge from here. GRRRR! I WILL corrupt this guy to becoming a Sith somehow!
  3. Yeah, I keep pulling Disciple out at every stop and trying him with just about every action and conversation. So far nothing. I thought he'd be all jazzed about something on Korriban (being a historian and all, I figured a visit to the Sith tombs would invoke something along the way). But nothing. That only leaves Onderon & Dxun left to gain influence with Disciple. Has anyone found a spot to kick Disciple up a notch on this final world for me? Remember, I'm playing Darkside this time. (And he's showing up as pretty evil already... he just won't let me train him, and he won't tell me what his beef is with the Jedi; both return "[failure]" notices in the conversation still.) Thanks!
  4. I've finished the game on Lightside as a male (without making any of my party into Jedi for some reason; apparently I was just one conversation away on most of 'em, and had enough influence, but just never followed through... grrr...). Now I'm playing it through on Darkside as a female just to see the differences. And, yes, I feel very, very guilty... (That poor dancer; I keep collecting her tips just for fun. I don't really need the money. I'm just so... so... bad...) Anyways, I've finished Dantooine and Nar Shadda, and Atton and Bao Dur are both dark Jedi now. Kreia and Visas are already Jedi. And G0T0, HK, Hanharr, and my little T3 unit cannot become Jedi. So that just leaves Disciple... When I first picked him up on Dantooine, I kept the initial conversation very short. I kept reloading and saving, and no matter which option I chose I lost Influence with him. (Is it because I was thoroughly Darkside when I met him, I wonder?) Then I continued the conversation and kept gaining Influence. I'm at the point where I can offer to make him a Jedi, but he declines (and says something about it may never happen). He won't tell me what his problem is with the Jedi, either. So I'm trying desperately to gain just another notch or two of Influence with the guy, because I just can't seem to make it happen through conversation. Oh, I can certainly lose Influence with the guy; I just have to slaughter some poor fool who gets in my way for no good reason. But performing acts of charity all over Nar Shadda doesn't seem to impress him at all. Any suggestions? I suppose it doesn't matter a whole lot; I've got a full roster of characters to play with. But I just wanted to train up everyone possible in the party for fun... Thanks for the advice & spoilers! -- Scott
  5. I finally completed my first run through KotOR2 last night, ending totally maxed out on light side. Though I tried to finish all the little side quests before getting swept away in the endgame, I never did re-establish the new fuel source, I never did get to rid of G0T0 (or get through the hutts locked door, or use the dog's feeding dish for whatever, etc.), I never did find the place where the HKs were being built, etc. And the ending certainly left me with more than a few questions -- What was with the threatened conflict between the Remote and G0T0 over blowing up the planet? Now that Mira defeated her wookie hunter, what happens to her? How did the Ebon Hawk get out of that pit? I kind of feel like I may have missed something important. So I browse the forums a bit to see what I've missed... And O MY GOSH! You guys turned some of your followers into JEDI?!?!? I never came across anything like that in the game. I spoke with all of my followers multiple times, and on only one occasion did I lose influence (with Mandalore, who thought I was too nice to some weak guy because I spared his life). Atton, Visas, the Handmaiden, my Tech Specialist... even my little T3 unit... they all maxed out Light Side with me. I was very careful to switch around which characters I used on different missions (which seemed to be important to gain influence). By the time I was done, it seemed like everyone had opened up their backstory to me. I didn't do much Swoop racing, but I figured that wouldn't affect the plot too much... But turn them into Jedis? How did I miss that? I'm going to go back and play through the game again (probably darkside this time, just for variety). I want to make sure I don't miss this next time...
  6. Okay, here's where I am in the game: Here's what I want to accomplish: But in order for me to get what I want, I'm going to need money. Right now, I don't have a lot. And it seems that whenever I get a few hundred credits in my pocket, I stumble into an opportunity to be generous, earn some lightside points, and give it away (and then get harassed by Kreia -- what a heartless, pessimistic, depressing witch she is becoming!). So... Should I just be patient? Or are there some good sources for big cash that are accessible to me at this point without jeapordizing my pursuit of the light side. I don't know if Swoop Racing leads to money; I'm not really very good at it, and it gets frustrating to constantly miss the record times by fractions of a second, only have to "rinse & repeat" again and again. Don't spoil me too much, but a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated...
