  1. I'm going Devoted swords just for Modwyr. I wouldn't use another weapon after getting her, it'd be like cheating.
  2. Sounds like if you encourage her towards the light and tell her to release the souls, she does. If you encourage her towards the dark and tell her to keep the souls, she does. But if you encourage her one way and tell her to act another, something goes wrong and she gets messed up?
  3. Currently what happens is your character uses whatever weapon makes the most sense for the range they're at, so you have to micromanage them a little. You still get the dual wielding speed buff, at least.
  4. Yeah I'm stuck on Trickster or Devoted as the Soulblade's second class though. Escape is more like Ciri's blink ability, I suppose, but Devoted would seem to make more sense for single 1h user.
  5. Devoted/Soul Blade vs Trickster/Soul Blade for a single 1h sword user? Essentially modelled on Ciri from the Witcher (ie. Dex-based with magical flair and mobility)?
  6. It's pretty bugged. Maybe not quite as bad as PoE1 on release but still not great, particularly with balance issues. I'd wait at least a few full patches.
  7. I mentioned in the OP that I have the hat with the eyepatch but its model is borked and I'd prefer not to be turned bald anyway. It's specifically the standalone eyepatch I'm hoping to find.
  8. I think I might know the reason for this. Normally, when you hit the requirements for a soulbound level, a dialogue opens automatically with Modwyr once combat ends. If you maybe hit the requirements during a ship boarding action or something, maybe when combat ended the game transitioned to the world map immediately and you didn't get that conversation, but the game thinks you did? But not enough to properly progress the quest?
  9. I love Modwyr. So far I think she might be my favourite thing in this game.
  10. I think this is a bug with the character relationship system. Disposition loss and gain just seems much too quick.
  11. Hmm... I usually love "take a third option" choices. I might try this, but I hope it doesn't lead to disaster.
  12. I believe the option to convince him to give up his spot because the family will be split and uneven is a 14 Intellect check.
  13. She has at least one chat with each of your companions, though. When you go onto the deck see if she's standing next to a companion, she'll usually ask them something.
  14. Hi, I made a topic about this in general discussion, with no luck. I'm looking for an eyepatch for my character. If anyone has found a place to get one, please enlighten me. Not including the DLC hat with the eyepatch, I have it but it's messed up - speaking of which, does anyone else have a problem with that hat where the eyepatch doesn't align with their character's eye? On my character (female wood elf head #3) the patch is above the eye, it doesn't even come close to aligning. You can see the whole eye. Is that just a problem with my particular head?
  15. I've seen that before. Did you also leave the Sky Dragon (Hylea's quest) and the dragons of the White March alone, though? I got called a dragonslayer too, even though I left the Sky Dragon alive and let the Adra Dragon take over Falenroed. However I did kill the Alpine Dragon. I'm just confused about how a pirate in the Deadfire knows about it, but I suppose it's possible.
  16. I was expecting a number to appear over a disposition when you filled its circle, and for the circle to reset to 0. If each disposition only has 4 levels that's pretty ridiculous, since you can fill them within a few hours of starting a new game.
  17. That's a bummer, because as a pirate I tried to avoid killing too many of my fellow pirates, so I completed Deadlight through subterfuge. I guess I'll try searching for some hostile pirates on the world map and see if any of their crew drop an eyepatch... If anyone has found a vendor that sells them, though, that'd be ideal.
  18. Hello. I need an eyepatch. My character is a pirate, (with one eye, no less) and I currently have no eyepatch. I've been searching all the vendors I can find, I went to Dunnage and Fort Deadlight in the hope there would be an eyepatch vendor with no luck, and I'm worried I'll never find one. Yes, there's an eyepatch built into the DLC hat, but unfortunately there's two problems with that. (a) It makes my character bald. (b) On my character the eyepatch part of it doesn't even cover the eye, it sits above the eye with the eye clearly uncovered below it (this is on female elf head 3). So, has anyone found one? I know there's an eyepatch in the game because I've seen in it a beta video, so I'm hoping that the actual eyepatch won't have the same not-covering-the-eye issue that the DLC hat does.
  19. I con confirm this. I created a History where Aloth dismantled the Leaden Key and accepted Iselmyr. He acknowledges that he's working against the Leaden Key, but he has both pro-Authoritarian and pro-Autonomy.
  20. I think you might be supposed to go back to Lamond and tell him you've cleared the docks? I did that before ringing the bell and the quest proceeded as it was supposed to.
