Blessings of Berath
KaiG replied to Not Hypebringer's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
The +attribute bonus is amazing. I want to try to earn enough to get that one by the time the import bugs are fixed, so I can use it on my imported character. -
Sure, here's a save. I'm apparently not allowed to upload it directly, so here's a link: https://ufile.io/8b0y3 As you can see, I am still in the Queen's palace where you first recruit Pallegina. The bug is reproducible, just talk to Pallegina about her thoughts on Eothas and after the conversation finishes, Xoti will challenge her.

Hi, I believe this is a bug. I recently recruited Pallegina with Xoti in the party, and after doing so I worked through her conversation options. During the conversation she made an antireligious comment which Xoti didn't like. After the conversation was over, Xoti issued an ultimatum about Pallegina's behaviour, during which she made comments that heavily implied that she and Pallegina had been travelling together for a while, and said it was 'either her or me'. It seems bizarre that this kind of thing could happen in the very first conversation I have with Pallegina, so I think something's screwy here. This seems like the kind of argument that should happen after a lot of antireligious comments and some time travelling with both characters in the party.

No, the options for Maneha are "Mahena forgot her past and lived life to the fullest" or "Maneha never found the Salt Well and stayed a Giftbearer" (ie. you never finished her quest). There's nothing about the ending where Mahena finds the Salt well but you convince her to accept her past and find peace.

Baby on Board
KaiG replied to ThatUndeadLegacy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Yeah, it's Engrim who's drunk. Thank god, no need to turn Vela into a 6-year-old lush. -

Aww! Well, my pirate character probably wouldn't begrudge Vela a little taste of ale. -
I'm sadly resigned to waiting for the patch next week because of import woes... that or I might play through the first part of the game with a secondary character and try to earn enough achievement points by next week to get the +attribute Berath's Blessing for my real playthrough. I worry that'll ruin the experience of playing the game fresh, though.

Where is Eder?
KaiG replied to fortuntek's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Aloth isn't on the ship, he turns up somewhere else. -
Female Voice Narration Missing
KaiG replied to Omeyga's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I believe it is intended, which is why all the complaints about the narrator seem overblown, to me. -
Windows Borderless Mode missing.
KaiG replied to Glurak's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Regular windowed mode seems to work like borderless mode for me. Just set it to the same resolution as your monitor (and disable Caged Cursor if you want to be able to move your mouse off screen). -

If this is true, I actually kind of respect it? It's not often you get such dire consequences so early in a game. -
Vela not spawning
KaiG replied to Yenkaz's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Thanks for providing the option, aartz. I'm hesitant to do it though, as I fear activating cheats will open a Pandora's Box of cheating throughout my playthrough that I'll be unable to close. I was about to try it and I already had the urge to give my character higher attributes. -
intro/beginning typo
KaiG replied to tid242's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I mean, if you want to get really nitpicky, you could change it to "Whether it is a long one will depend upon the Watcher whom Berath chooses in your stead." But that's not really necessary. It's perfectly acceptable to drop pronouns in situations like this. -
intro/beginning typo
KaiG replied to tid242's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
No it shouldn't. Berath isn't a Watcher, Berath is a god. The line is referring to a hypothetical Watcher that Berath will need to find to perform the task you, the Watcher of Caed Nua, refused.
