KOTOR3 Story idea
I would recommend reading the exhaustive (and exhausting!) commetary on the issues of the endgame that have been posted in the Spoilers forum. I have a link to Saberist's post (which has some cracking themes explained therein), but the whole discussion is well worth reading to help decide how to handle characters and their relative significance to the story's elements.

KOTOR 3 Fan Comic
It looks like one of those little pigmy zombies in "The Mummy Returns", or even better, there was a little humonculous in the 1985 Stephen King film version of some of his short stories, called Cat's Eye... Little things can be quite frightening ...

What would you say when killing someone?
As difficult as it is to beat this one, how about: "That's the last mistake you'll ever make"

All the really great things about this game
Well, I feel for your pain, but I happend to think NwN was/is a good engine. I would recommend to you the Community mods, especially the Hall of Fame members. I also think you are being a bit harsh on Bioware; it is not their fault that after their engine was released no-one else has stepped up to the challenge and produced anything similar. You can't expect Bioware to create teo competing engines! I think NwN 2 will again set the standard, and I hope, for all our sakes, that it is good enough to impress you(!).

Wow... just wow... I have such mixed feelings!
Ah, then it is in the hands of the Empire! I wonder what Darth Soft's plans are? "

Force Power Reset No Good
The interface would be beyond the Xbox.

Wow... just wow... I have such mixed feelings!
Well, I suppose lusting after a totally different game from a different developer makes a nice addition to all the complaints about K2 and pining for K3 on the Obsidian boards...

Malak's 1960s Cameo
I like the Herculoids. I used to watch them when I was little. (They were on the Space Ghost show.) PS I think the word you are looking for is plagiaristic. "

Amusing Glitches
Me too. I lost Atton. I gained an army of Iridonians. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They all go to a nice tailor, though. "

Kreia Vision in Korriban
Siding with Kreia the apparition finally disappears after the third time. I've been trying to figure out which is the 'correct' response, according to what this apparition was supposed to 'test'. I'm thinking maybe there isn't a correct response, only that you side with someone, or realize that 'apathy IS death'. Exile turned away from getting involved with people, too. That's the only thing I can come up with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is no "correct" response to a moral dilemma. And, as far as K2 is concerned, there are no consequences for your choice outside the immediate battle. I would have liked this to have an impact on the ending of the game in some way ... use this vital information about who you trust and how you resolve disputes to bury the audience deeper into the game. Light Side points. Pah. It should affect the Jedi Council confrontation and Kreia's attitude towards the PC, at the very least.

You're mad. Go back and re-install it and play again as a proper Jedi.

Returning to Ebon Hawk through the Map
I've had as few as three levels before re-awakening my Force Sensitivity ... and I read some-one else had made it with only two levels ... crazy fools! Don't they know the fate of the Galaxy hangs in the balance?

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Sillly rabbit, forums are for kids. And anyway, the rabbit isn't hiding in your last post, he's gone to Washington with Mr Smith, for a wonderful life. Now, back to the topic ... After a perusal of your site, Aurora, I am: 1. impressed with your professionalism, dedication and achievements, 2. stunned that so much of the game is missing. Without belittling your efforts (which are obviously heroic under the circumstances) I cannot understand how so many little scenes were not included in the game. (Effort for Obsidian, who had all the resources in place, would have been significantly less than that which you have had to make: pciking up the pieces, re-discovering what was the original story line -- detective-like -- and then designing, and then splicing sound and coding ...) A lot of the side quests just end. The multiple ends are pruned into one. If I had to guess I would say that a lot of the work was cancelled from the top, probably because of delay/critical development path issues (maybe it took longer than expected to code the new powers, or similar; maybe the deadline was brought forward). Warmest regards for your (team's) efforts.

Returning to Ebon Hawk through the Map
Couldn't agree more. But it still is an exploit. (If you exploit it, you must be in really bad shape -- punching above your weight or running around Taris without levelling up in order to have more Jedi levels before the level 20 cap ... oh, that's another exploit, isn't it? )

NEW POWER IDEA!!!
I think the genre you are looking for is FPS ... try Doom3 or even the Quake series. KotOR is a Role Playing Game. There's a good lad. "

I must say you present a persuassive argument. At least Calo was the biggest of the minor cast of villians ... he got to come back for a rematch.

Mistake?
Checking! Beware -- curiosity leads to the Dark Side ... (killed a cat, y'know?) ... then again knowledge is the path to the Light ... I know, you should persue knowledge without searching it out! Just be a sponge when it rains, but don't go seeking ... j/k

Returning to Ebon Hawk through the Map
It is if you use it in a way such as it wasn't intended. If you play K1, you can transit out of the middle of a fight and back again. I'm sure they didn't want you to do that.

Mistake?
Change the changes file? Is that allowed? Won't LA sue for breach of copyright? "

Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
You make a good point plano skywaler. Self-discovery plots end up needing the amnesiasc beginning; unless the first person perspective is just the closest witness to the real story. Using the first person in this way frees the PC to be anything -- or more importantly nothing -- at the start, to be solely determined by their actions throughout the game. This requires a little more thought and planning (different endings, like K1) but is ultimately more satisfying and feels far less artifical. Certainly the end product of K2 was a million miles away from a conhesive and immersive experience; I for one felt little empathy for any of the characters (except that one guy on Nar Shadarr who gets mugged) because it wasn't my story -- I felt as though I was reading someone else's. And back on topic, there is plenty of scope to have a character -- let's call her Kreia -- be totally convinced that The Force has a Will. We could be immersed in one of those "too co-incidental to be random" type stories to implicate her as mad, then have some unexplainable (and therefore enigmatic) event happen at the end that leaves a doubt in your mind as you watch the credits roll... Because in the real world we cannot even decide whether God exists or we have free will. I remember a great skeptic, Isaac Asimov, related a story when he was talking with his wife as they potted around an old market. Conversation turned briefly to music, and he was reminded of an old religious song that he had not heard for decades (since he was a small boy) and he couldn't remember the name of ... seconds later they opened the door on an old bric-a-brac shop and the very song was playing over the loud speaker ... Synchronicity, anyone ...?

KOTOR III
And if the PC is Revan, that will just open up a whole new can of worms. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Revan's gender and alignment can be determined at the beginning of the game ... and Revan can have amnesia and have lost fitness over the last few years, so as to be back at a low level ... oh, wait -- that sounds familiar ... "

Force Power Reset No Good
Yes this has annoyed me very much. Speed is the first power I take, and I use it almost constantly throughout the entire game (I am very impatient). I remember thinking of a reason why it wouldn't be feasible to remember the last power/stim/armour/form/attack whilst playing ... can't think of it now ... maybe the reset after cut scenes / switching between different PCs. Also the speed tends to run out at odd times whilst not un-blurring the landscape. I spent most of the Dantooine sub-level blurry. (It did stop when I got back outside -- maybe speeding in the dark hurts your PC's eyes ...?) Ditto with the Force Whirlwind. If only the Whilwind was a multiple attack ...

Revan's son
... and maybe even those little baby pod thingies from Brave New World, so that the females can just deposit the embryo in the fertilized receptacle whilst they go off and wash the dishes and darn the computer socks for all the men. Why are there no children or young people in SW? Are people just born young adults? Have you been to a shopping centre/mall lately? The percentage of pregnant and / or baby-varrying people is closer to 75% than 0%. Children would be good human shields in the game. "
