I haven't, but it apparently is not as good as the first two games, but still worth playing.

Civ4 is apparently rebuilt from the ground up, so perhaps the developers have been far-sighted enough to add real difficulty levels.

Maybe your reading comprehension is not the best.

Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
metadigital replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I did a level 3 PC (I tested the idea of a level 2); Bendak wasn't necessary to kill if you were lightside. I always killed the Rancor with combat (Run away!); i could never get him to eat explosives. :"> INGSOC Mr Barlast is the artiste what created it for me. Nice person! -
Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
metadigital replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I enjoyed playing KotOR a lot more; I played it through probably a dozen times. As I've sid before, I was hoping the sequel would just be more of the same, just bigger (more planets, etc). I don't envy the developers making a sequel; it isn't easy deciding what features to keep, what to improve and what to cut: not everybody is going to be happy with the result. (Still, the lack of an apparently cohesive QA process certainly impacted negatively on the end product; a lot of the issues, I'm confident, would have been detected and fixed by a good test phase.) -
Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions

I concur with this. One of the best parts of KotOR was the pre-Jedi character building, IMO. (Also the different physical models for each class was a cool idea: a soldier was taller and stockier than a fleet-of-foot (fleet-of-feet? ) scoundrel ... -
General question for computer types...

What model Thinkpad? I've got a T41p, and it has an ATi Mobility Radeon T2 128MB. Failing that, Ender's advice is sound: IBM have a very good update service now, it has improved out of sight since I bought this model, and it was as good as M$ before. -
Protein is useless if you aren't increasing muscle mass with power weight training; you'll just swap out existing proteins for new ones.

My brother was in an infantry division, and he used to "go bush" for six months of the year (and spent the other six months weight training twice a day), so he managed to yo-yo between musclebound and normal (very little food out on man

Interestingly, gaining a magic wand in Akalabeth:[can't remember the colonated subtitle] (the precursor to the Ultima series) and casting a shapechange resulted in (sometimes) your PC becoming a Lizardman! A Lizardman was a great PC race, because they had about ten times as many hit points as well as magic and poison resistence, and everything. Sadly, the magic wand was only found a couple of levels down in the dungeon, and one of the possiblities was being turned into a rat. They weren't, technically, from outer space, though.

Here are some baddies for my d20 System Game

... SELF SCORE LOSS ... . A augmentation ... ... SELF SCORE RECOVERY Self Score loss can be rectified through the removal of augmentations and through psychological therapy. Therapy has a weekly Purchase DC 15, which the therapist has to succeed a Knowledge (Behavior Sciences) skill check which has the DC of the Self Score lost. If the check is successful the character regains 1d6 Self points. If the check has failed, not all is lost for the therapy still helped and the character regains only one point of Self. ... Does this mean the PC has to complete psychological treatments every week to maintain the abatement to their Self Point loss? And failure to do so temporarily / permanently restores the loss (i.e. decrements the Self Points)? ... INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL ... A failed Installation roll means that the cybernetic device has been rejected or was improperly attuned to the patient. The surgeon will needs to try again, but the patient suffers 1d4 temporary Constitution damage each time the Installation roll fails. ... How long is temporary? ... Cybernetics ... The four grades of quality are Gamma (base quality and cost), Delta (+2 Purchase DC), Beta (+4 Purchase DC), and Alpha (+6 Purchase DC). ... The first four letters of the greek alphabet are ∝ alpha, β beta, γ gamma and δ delta. I really like the biomods. I can see lots of thought has gone into them! With regard the talents, I have a general question. Are the offensive and defensive talents of combatants communitive? What I mean is, if an aggressor uses a talent that increases attack probability or damage, say, and the defender uses a talent that minimizes their apprehension and / or damage taken, then these two talents both work for each individual? I guess this is most obvious in defence, where an immunity to criticals would circumvent an increased critical attack: is there any way to override another talent, or are they just calculated in m -

What's an "action point"? I assume it's some sort of offensive equivalent to the "hit point" defensive measurement. ... CLASS FEATURES ... Deadly Strike: Years of training in the combative arts have given the hero the ability to score a critical strike in more often than his peers. Whenever the character rolls a Critical Threat, he or she can spend an Action Point and turn it into a critical hit automatically without the need for the confirmation roll. ... Covert Operative ... ... Training Path 3 Precise Strike: The soldier can strike against an opponent are treated as touch attacks. Before making an attack on the soldier -

This is why it gets really difficult to seperate out genotype from phenotype ... after all how much of genetic material is necessary to be passed on for various traits? I do know that the stuff that has been researched on zygote twins seperated at birth is fascinating, though. They marry the same type of people, get the same type of job, etc etc. Or is it all just (today's word for the day is: ) apophenia?

130 pound squats? Jeez, I was doing 130kg squats, and I'm no heavyweight! Hey, I remember Karateka! That was a great game! Too bad about the testes thing, though (intestate); I guess that's why he only had one child (impotent). Now Chuck Norris,he was a dude! (Apart from that terrible film Walker: Texas Ranger 3 ... but The Octagon was great.) But mkreku, you are naughty: ... Once a martial artist reviews the reality of Lee's strength, aerobic capacity and personal character, a sober question must be addressed: should Lee's myth be actively deconstructed among novice martial artists? Perhaps not. That may be a function of maturity and be better emphasized in the later stages of training and spiritual development within the arts. Instead, people need a visual image to connect to and, until they begin to see their own selves in growing competency, may need the myth of Bruce Lee to sustain their training efforts.

The Fall is finally going to be released
metadigital replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Computer and Console
Volo, you've hit one of my pet peeves (I guess it comes from reading too many Mad magazines when I was a pre-teen): P.S. stands for Post Scriptum. It's latin and means "written aftewards", and the only permissable extension to the concept is PPS, as in Post Post Scriptum. There is not, and never has been a variant denoted PSS, nor PSSSS nor even PPSS. If you must carry the joke on, it must be PS, PPS, PPPS, ... etc. Normal services resume ...
