Nope, that would require excellent writing, which doesn't seem to be a priority.

Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Well, the DS path should be about the conquest of the Republic. In order to obtain this objective, you can cooperate with the Sith, pretend to cooperate with the Sith or even cooperate with another DS faction such as the Krath. But it all leads to the same thing: conquering or weaking the Republic. The LS path is, of course, pro-Republic. The problem with there being a "neutral" path is that this would also be pro-Republic. Perhaps there could be some special way to play a neutral path (such as an Ithorian priest)....but that reminds me, non-human PCs are a must! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not necessarily. A grey FS might see a corrupt and failing Republic as worthy of being replaced, and perhaps use the invading Sith as a mechanism to facilitate the "management change". In that instance, neither the Republic nor the Sith would win, but a "third way", a revitalised Republic.

At best I think you would get one dedicated world,it's more cost/time effective to make less bigger worlds than smaller unique worlds since you can recycle a lot of the art and models. Makes for a good selling point though. If you did do KOTOR in a similiar way to Pokemon then having one dedicated world to each package (along with the unique stuff and a unique NPC or two would be one way to do it). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, that would work for me. Maybe the smaller packages would be easier to manage, so we would get more regular, higher quality and interchangeable games planets ...

Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
I like your shared-and-excluded planet concept, but I don't see the need for an alignment barometer to configure the access. Why not just have some planets as inaccessible for extremes (as you outlined), but not restrict PCs from travelling to them should they redeem / fall far enough in the mean time. Then you don't have to "lock in", and those who can be bothered can actually unlock further gameplay. I would also want to see some sort of via media, too. Why can't the Grey DS be an option? After all, it's harder to be grey than either DS or LS, as you get none of the Mastery bonuses and almost all the penalties ...

Pazaak - love it or hate it?
Yes, that did cross my mind too when I saw him flying around... I mean, he could barely get around in the later movies. Why wouldn't he have flown off Jabba's barge and onto the speeder in ROTJ instead of falling into the sand? Interesting concept, but a little late to integrate it to the story. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is this indicative of the total lack of forethought shown by GL in his headlong rush to bring the latest hare-brained gimmicky idea to his ageing franchise? Certainly proves the point that continuity is not high on GL's list of priorities. No wonder he doesn't mind ignoring any EU consequences; he can barely keep focussed on the films he has spent his adult life making ...

No-CD Patch?
I am not doubting your methods, but your terminology is slightly off. Security through obscurity is the (specious) idea that keeping quiet about the circumvention of a lock will keep it safe, in the vain hope that any cracker will not find it. I think you are delving into something like anachrocryptography (if I had to put a word to it). Definitely not Security by obscurity, at least not the established definition. (Who knows, maybe this is a homonymic definition addendum, as it relies on a different connotation of "obscurity" ...) I know you're trying to be the obnoxious know-it-all here, as usual. But from what I've read, DT 4 will include SF emulation. So... yeah. There is no such thing as an unbeatable security system, and there will never be. Keep dreaming. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to agree with Numbers. Even using an external device, like a dongle, will not prevent the anti-piracy code from working. There is a technique to enforce the programme is the same one was designed to be (I should know, I co-patented it: number 725098; anti-spoofing, encryption, obfuscating and message digest security software), but to my knowledge this has not been replicated. Consequently, wherever the checking algorithm is, it can be patched to return a green code, therefore circumventing the check. Even if that is in multiple places and multiple programmes. As for the whole notion of adding this level of complexity to an already tenuously balanced riot of competing drivers and applications inside the already over-taxed rudimentary OS, I think that is a large retrograde step. Bring back the teatowels.

Duke Nukem Forever Being Released
- am i the only one that loved that ending?
Stop right there! It was "crafted" (if being left half finished is in fact worthy of the description) in such a way as to leave as little damage to any future development, whilst keeping with the only consistency provided by the game, that being a total lack of any substance. The central conceit, that of the Exile being the protagonist rather than Revan, was a simply mechanism to start the second game with a new character that could grow through the levels, without makeing a total mockery of the game engine (as is apparent when playing with an epic level character). There was no sequel planned at the time. There was no denouement, apart from a couple of paragraphs of "Where are they now" dialogue, which still missed a few characters! It was poorly completed. I would have categorised that as RTS, actually. Maybe that might help you a little, if you're working on turns, that's a big advantage to give the other side ...- General question for computer types...
In the bath, of course. I'm leaving I'll come back when you grow up which will probably be never, who's the baby now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If he leaves and doesn't come back until Numbers grows up, which is never, that means he never returns, doesn't it? (I just had to insert this, as I missed the whole argument and I was being wrongly accused and abused!) - am i the only one that loved that ending?
