  1. The only planet they found was a gas giant, so it wouldn't be a picnic in any case. (Bad hurricanes and no ground to stand on, and all that.)
  2. HE WAS MEANT TO UNITE THE DEVELOPERS, NOT DESTROY THEM!
  3. That's good to know. I was going to shell out for Psychonauts next. I'll keep my vitreous humour aptly receptive to the game, though, in case I see it drowning in the bargain bin ...
  4. They are the duck's nuts in Rome: Total War as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I especially like the VO for them. "Hoplites! ... Form Up!"
  5. Ya, I guess if you have enough victories eventually you'll receive Leonidas, but I never played with them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Civ4? Apparently there are heroes in it, if that's what you mean ...
  6. But which one was more fun? There's no bloody drow nor stupid elves and orcs in it, are there?
  7. Clear, the future is not ...
  8. DAMMIT! YOUTH IS WASTED ON THE YOUNG!
  9. It's a pretty fair abstract of Civ, with the added bonus of RTS battles, should you want to zoom in. I got a little jacked off by the plague infestations in my big cities (with Super-Duper-Epic-City Walls and such); I think they are mainly caused by the opponents' spies, I subsequently read somewhere, though ...
  10. ... Which is quite disturbing ...
  11. Hehe. I like ThinkGeek. Guns Don't Kill People. Ninja Chimps C.H.I.M.P.
  12. Actually, I thought Matrix Reloaded was pretty bad, too: ... It never delivers on Neo
  13. Great. Another victory for style over content.
  14. ... Or cheap bloodlines, now.
  15. Like Major Major in Catch-22? (He starts his army career as a private, but because of the ineluctable and ineffable idiocy of the armed forces bureaucracy, he is eventually promoted to Major, because Captain Major Major just doesn't sound right, and everyone thinks he's a Major already anyway. That's Catch-22 in reverse.) Maybe his mother was trying the same thing, and misspelt his name: Malik ? :D
  16. Actually, that is pretty good. Obviously it's all speculative, but as a cogent assessment of the plot and where it could be leading, I think you've done pretty well. I would agree that there are far too many loose ends in the game to say that the plot was meant to conclude with the ending provided in K2. Whether that is because there is a masterplan in Esse and a superlative to finish the trilogy plot in Posse, or because the game was created to have as little impact on either the first game or any possible future games, is still a moot point. So, here we are: inter spem et metum.
  17. I am tempted to make some rude comment about your personal affairs. I shall not succumb to the urge, however. (Remember, even Jesus was tempted.) I respectfully withdraw the insinuation that was thought out loud.
  18. It depends. It depends on your definition of "alternate". It depends on your definition of "unperfect". It depends on your definition of "parallel". It depends on your definition of "remains". It depends on your definition of "world". So, Yes (and No). Just ask Erwin Schr
  19. It is cool, and I have no other means of any sort of role-play / game playing with others sentient beings, so it was a Good Thing for me, too. If we want to play ten-player, I see no problem with some sort of complex GM setup, so that we somehow double-blind set up the orders to a shared account (only two GMs get the access) and just take all the last orders filed by the deadline. Or something. Because the moves are all rule-based, there's no adjudication or discrimination required. I don't mind being GM if we can make up the numbers.
  20. That is an uncanny likeness of Natalie Portman.
  21. That would break the primary Micro$oft edict for job security and inbuilt complexity and obsolescence.
  22. Was that a copy of the Death Star Trench Run? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not yet, give GL an iteration to update the effects one more time ...
  23. Unless they melt in a puddle of water on the way, or The Wiz says something bombastic that damages their self-esteem and consequently they die ...
