When Ashley Simpson, AKA John Travolta, had her first record break there was some confusion over how it debuted so high at billboard being that some journalist called around to about a thousand record stores around the country and couldn't find a significant number of the albums to have moved at any of them. It was speculated that the parent company bought a few hundred thousand copies of her album from the label and then redistributed them to stores-essentially inflating album sales by convincing some lemmings that everyone else was buying it. Could be the same happens with Brits, but then again I asked the kid at FYE if it's really necessary that they have 3 rows of some new celine dion disc and his position was that he has to restock that section several times a day. Being that Lucasfilm doesn't care about Lucasarts they would never pull a scheme like this, so this wouldn't apply to Kotor2.

The only good thing about PCs is that you can play both excitebike (NES) and uniracers (SNES) on them. -
We're all dorks, here, if that's what you mean by fanboy. At least say you love jackasses.

Surprised they weren't sued into oblivion. Jello sued Green Jello over their name. Remember the Green Jelly logo with the umlat over the 'y' which still clearly spelled out green jello? Also, John Travolta sued Mr. Bungle over their song 'travolta' and they had to rename it. I don't remember what to, but the new name was ridiculous. -
KOTOR 2: Hottest Droid Character?
Lifthransir Bane replied to jedi mad hatter's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What about that droid on Nar Shaddah that rips out its tongue (vocabulator) if you ask it to. That's the kind of whipped significant o. that I've always wanted. -

KOTOR2: Hottest Male Character

Kreia. She sounds like that guy who did the posessed voice for Linda Blair's character in the exorcist. Before you reply with the obvious, I know. And I know. -

Oh, yeah. I'm not being ageist here and saying that teenagers are always wrong or always a-holes. It just seems that the percentages tend more that way as per message board posting vs. nonteenagers. -

Didn't notice the biobitches thing, probably because I got sick of reading through threads with an initiator's post-count of 1 saying Obsidian sucks and didn't want to join in the flaming of the initiating poster after the second or third time, being that I hate redundancy in any form of correspondence. As to the two posts about nonspecific insulting/namecalling instead of criticism I would have to say this: Remember that in most cases when this is seen, you are dealing with 12-15 year old children. It shouldn't be taken any more seriously than if you were to leave work early on friday, get stuck behind a schoolbus and all the kids in the back are flicking you off. Have I ever thought about getting out of my car at the light, bursting through the bus's door and raining sulfer and ash on these little bastards? Yes, but then I realize that not only do I not care, but if I was fifteen and locked in a prison (learning crap I usually remembered from when I had to learn the same damn thing the year before) all day without a choice I'd probably be doing the same thing to every car I saw-and I think I did until my friend got her license and I didn't have to ride a bus anymore. As far as increased banning goes, I'm all for it, but the distinction between naturally sour, sardonic people who aren't being abrasive for abrasiveness sake (213374u ) and idiot brats who use a message board to say in safety and anonymity all the things that they wish they could say to that kid at lunch who brained them in the back of the head with a hackeysack, today(do teenagers still bring these to school?). What I'm saying, essentially is that one shouldn't necessarily be banned for saying something along the lines of 'Obsidian should have known that LA has a reputation for poor QA testing and the fault of the bugginess is on both their heads; let's hope the patch clears most of this up, or I'll just keep asking for another one,' (which might not be something that a developer would necessarily want't to see) but should be banned for saying, 'U devs suck. U R cowards if U don't answer this: how come i can't bang the blind chick.' Annoyance is bad, but censorship (limiting a free exchange of ideas) is worse. Judging from your post you seem to understand the difference. -

If they close this forum, it might be a mixed bag for me. I started reading it in I think August of last year when I found out that the developers of Kotor2 were giving updates on features of K2 and taking feedback and implementing it to an extent. Soon I was checking every day and, by november, posting one or two things while here. I had never had an interest in posting on message boards before, and really surprised I wrote in as much as I did here. When the boards close, I might miss discussing the physics and metaphysics of the fictional universe birthed by a quasi-hack writer/director (though perhaps the most important innovator that film has ever seen) who had one or two unparalleled ideas, but ultimately my time would be better spent doing things other than posting silly rhetorics on a damned message board. Should be working on my script, anyway. -
This isn't the Picture of Dorian Grey. The force is a tradeoff, like winning the lottery. You can pick the quick route and have all the money at once, but it's less money in the long run, or you can get more of it over a long period of time, but you'll be old by the time you have it all. You can choose the darkside, which provides for immediate power superior to almost anything that the lightside offers-at the cost of one's own life and longevity. Or you can take the lightside route which costs nothing and extends life, but by the time you are as powerful as someone using the darkside, you are basically dead, anyway.

If K2 had a simpler, straight forward plot

Don't lie. The first time that you fought Malak, you had one hell of a time because you didn't completely understand the mechanics of the game. -
If K2 had a simpler, straight forward plot
Lifthransir Bane replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No. The plot was easily the strongest point as was the way of looking at the force and the obvious, but undiscussed problems with the philosophy of both jedi and sith. Furthermore it fleshed out all the questions that I had in kotor1. The problems with this game are obvious, there is no new insightful way of looking at them. -Dark Jedi/Sith/Sith Lords don't use any force powers (except Traya) -Ending was unfinished and a lot was cut -buggy -
Threat Range and Master Critical Strike
Lifthransir Bane replied to DsevenO's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Dunno, try using it and then looking in the math section of the game to see what scores a threat with that weapon and what doesn't. -
Darkside Playthrough
Lifthransir Bane replied to JamieKirby's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Disagree. All the dark side choices in the first one consisted of pure brutality and meanness. Kreia gives you quite a compelling rationale in the second one. Each cruel act is a means to weed out weakness in the galaxy and strengthen it for the threat that is to come. Ends justify the means stuff. -
This is one hell of an idea, and an impossible pitch for a designer to make.
-
This sort of Happens on Kotor2 if you think about it. What I wouldn't mind is if you are already an established jedi LS or DS who has a padawan. The choices that you make are locked withing LS for LS and DS for DS with subtle variations. These variations would determine whether or not your padawan rejects you at the end of the game and attacks you.

I think I read an article somewhere where someone asked someone from Lucasarts about a knights of the new republic game. I think that someone said something along the lines of George doesn't want intellectual properties related to the new republic for the NEAR future. Of course, with all the qualifying that I made in the above paragraph, I leave open the possibility that this could be all hallucination from the flu that I currently have. He probably didn't get the financial windfall he expected from Bush's tax cuts and needs to make another trilogy so he has enough money to keep the Hall of Doom afloat.

Ditto. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> double ditto. and thus also the reason for me hating kevin j. anderson for his stupid tendency to have to make things/characters ridiculously powerful. matter of fact, a lot of the comics series have come up with the worst ideas in star wars history. reborn emperor my ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Triple ditto. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll buy that for a dollar.

I can't read this crap. Why not type with a black font to match the background and really make it impossible? If you're asking about the pacifist package, you need to finish Dxun and Dantooine and then talk to the rodian merchant on nar shaddah.
