Ha! I can't wait for Darth Zionist and Darth Shalom. Dubai has started producing arab language comic books in which their superheroes defend mecca and medina against the armies of Zionica. Those subtle arabs.

I wonder what attracts people to anime. Is it for the "beautiful" eyes... ...or is there another reason? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pre-teens like seeing all the boobs they can, drawn or not. Proven fact. -
I doubt it because those were their names before they became Sith. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bioware just didn't want to confuse us by giving us three names for Revan and two for malak. They did the same thing by having Revan wearing his sith mask and star forge 'Revan' robes in the flashback on dantooine.
-
Oh, and this trend of meaningful Darth names started with Maul and Sidious in Ep.1 because Darth Vader was originally just the name of that character. Lucas picked it because it sounded 'cool.'
-
Darth means 'shadow warrior.' Malak is a hebrew word meaning angel. So Darth Malak means Shadowy Archangel. Revan is most likely a shortened version of revenant meaning a dead man who comes back to life. Sion is suggesting either that he is the heir to Revan, or Disciple of Kreia.

None of the movies in this game are particularly spectacular or plot necessities anyway.

OFN bug, or something new?

Ditto, but you need to go back to a save before you got your companions out. I think. -
My Theory on Darth Nihilus Identity
Lifthransir Bane replied to AromisTallion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nihilis is a foil to the exile, not the exile. All the relationships between nihilis and exile are strictly metaphorical. Think of it like in the movie High Plains Drifter. Eastwood's character is the brother of a character at the beginning. The movie suggests at times that he's actually a ghost. But he's not. It's all for metaphoric purposes. Most likely Nihilis is just some guy who the writers have used to represent the exile's loss of power. As far as Revan/Nihilis is concerned, the connection is asanine. Revan's character model looks to be about a foot shorter than nihilis's and nihilis appears to be on roids, which revan doesn't. -

NPC's as jedi's
Lifthransir Bane replied to SWfanfromwayback's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
With Bao-dur, you need to express concern when he gets out of prison, ask him to help you with stuff on Dantooine and Nar Shaddah, do an act of mercy while he's in the party, give a visa to a republican on Onderon, and potentially kill someone while Kreia and him are in the party (Kreia will mind trick him into gaining influence). LS or DS. The next dialogue option with him will let him train as a jedi. If DS, DO NOT start a dialogue with him for any reason before you've done all this. -
I believe the Def bonus from the speeds is glitched and doesn't work, much like DS fury fails to add extra attacks.

Dumbfounded on Na-shaddaa
Lifthransir Bane replied to Sleepy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The armor in this game is totally inferior to whatever any character that would wear armor starts out with, excepting Bao-dur, who is the only character that heavy armor would be useful on, but he can't wear that. -
Question about unarmed combat
Lifthransir Bane replied to Angry Sherpa's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
At high levels I consider unarmed combat a cheat. Am I really to believe that an old woman's level 30 one-handed karate is more destructive than a lightsabre with a weak emitter? -
I see your point, but jedi train with non-cutting blades. Even still, I can't remember anyone from the martial arts school I used to attend missing instruction because they gave themselves a thigh hematoma with a bo. I do remember one guy accidentally cutting his arm trying to do something too advanced with a katana. Edit: the swing pattern and the grip used makes it difficult to hit one's self with a staff.

Dumbfounded on Na-shaddaa
Lifthransir Bane replied to Sleepy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Does atton ever get any 'bad feelings' about anything after you've left Peragus? Never happened to me. -
True, but I've never heard of someone accidentally cracking theirself in the leg with a bo staff.
-
This stuck out in my head ever since I read on lucasarts website that staff sabers are too dangerous and aggressive for jedi. The whole idea of using one of these things in martial arts is that they are less lethal than swords and better at blocking an attack.

Warpa Penstmi. Sounds like I'm telling someone about a hookup I had.

Right, but Laozi's point was probably that the overwhelming majority of sith use only one lightsaber. I love putting words in other people's mouths.

TSL Movie - Who Would Play Each Role?
Lifthransir Bane replied to Master Dahvernas's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Don't know what KIFE means, but Mira looks just like her character in Single White Female. I still like Rutger Hauer as Canderous slightly over Perlman simply because he's older and the way Canderous talks about himself (in Kotor1 during jhis last two dialogues and in kotor2 when you say you thought he'd be stronger than he is) suggests to me that the writers envisioned him much older than the animators made him. I will admit that Perlman MUST have been the animators' inspiration for the Canderous model. -
He just meant that Darth Maul has a lot more precedence with a double-blade than, say, Bastila.

Darkside Playthrough

There are lines like this. You can start making demands from Vaklu when assaulting onderon. One of which is that Onderon give you all the force sensitives on the planet so that you can build your own personal army. -
