Personally its my favourite cartoon and its a pity it never got a second season. The series' ending is notable for the twist that spoiler spoiler spoiler. Don't read it if anyone wishes to watch the entire series. Cheeky bastards.

Watch the 1990s cartoon series. Its awesome for its time for its believable mature plot without involving G.I Joes/Captain Planet super hero moments. Furthermore its one of the first cartoon that utilizes 3D graphics to illustrate the mech combats. Episode one in youtube

"Realism" constitutes more than just the accuracy depiction of the place, but the setting as its entirety. Don't think Obsidian ever says they want to make a realistic RPG though. Not with all of the magical powers MT is capable of wielding for one. I remembered Obsidian only saying that thy wanted to make an RPG based on a realistic setting. In addition, it is true that AP once tried to achieve a Syrian setting, but changed gradually to evolve what it seemed to be a Metal Gear/Kill Bill inspired setting and characters. As for the accuracy of the locales, even movies make shootings in an entire different city or even country in comparison to the script in order to save costs. I try to provide Obsidian's perspective though why they choose over fictional accuracy in comparison to actual one. -Create a recognisable, impactful stage upon the starting of level in comparisons with other levels. Furthermore as you said that if the place is truly the same looking as Japan, it would be difficult for the players to differentiate between the two cities if Japan's level is included either in the game or in its sequel. Regardless, the level shown in the video may simply be located within someone's manor, so its too soon to judge about it yet. -Creater freedom in creating the level to accomodate the player's tactical needs. My 2 cents.

A while back, it was written on Obsidian's twitter that they are trying to decide on a music that represents one of the boss character in the game. I thought Michael Jackson would be cool though, in consideration that Sega and Michael Jackson had working partnership in the past(Space Channel 5, Moonwalker arcade and console).

Abia Roberts = Mr T So much diversity. <3 Obsidian On serious note, I really like the diverse art design direction style after we're give so much Snow from E3, the varied new stealth kill animations. Not much info. that are new but its always good to see new developers' faces in interviews giving their own thoughts of their game.

ALIENS NEWS
Its Sega's decision, not Obsidian to make since the property is Sega's in the first place. So Obsidian is incapable of making any decision. Based on a dev's post in other forum(RPG Codex), the main cause of the cancellation was likely due to Sega having a bad year with 250 million dollar loss that forced them to cut corners in project fundings. With the Aliens RPG still having 20 months to go and despite in meeting the last project milestone, Sega may have deemed the project too expensive to continue funding for an original IP with unique gameplay. Here's an excerpt of what the Aliens: Crucible gameplay might had been: Again, Obsidian is just a small private developer and is incapable of signing up expensive Fox property licenses like Aliens or Predators. That is up to a publisher to make and their choice to assign the project to a developer of their choice.

Friendly Fire?
I think there's friendly fire and I don't think the friendlies would get hostile easily unless the player is consistently putting them down.

edit: oops. Wrong thread. Improvised post. I don't think a player would necessarily pick a handler based on his character's build. I'm fairly certain that for my first run, I'll pick a character which I feel that he or she KICKS SO MUCH ASS IN BADASS MODE THAT I WANT TO BE PART OF IT TOO.

Though removed, MCA still humbly credits Annie Carlso and Brian for their work. I suppose that even though their work were removed, it inevitably served as a template to continue working in a form of a new material.

E3 developer walkthrough video
To be fair, its not fun for a player who plays as stealth character fubarred one of his stealth moment and alerted the entire enemies present in the said complex. Hence the areas are divided into sections similar to FEAR in that the AIs only function within the boundary and possibly incapable of moving out of the said boundary. Its also possible that its easier to code such AI and does not take too much memory. This design scheme I think, is less punishing than a true simulated stealth gameplay.

E3 developer walkthrough video
Its stated that that is one of the early levels in the game which the enemies have much poorer range of sight and hearing in comparison to later levels. Which I think its alright as I believe that the first couple levels of the game shouldn't be too punishing for a new player as they still need to adjust to the gameplay style. Though I think that at the train yard scene where MT had to move the crane, there is a sense of breaking illusion as he uses a non-silenced rifle to take down enemies in the same area yet the ones on the second level in plain sight were not alerted to it. I hope Obsidian would continue tuning it since its simply still in Alpha stage. Unfortunately considering that the game is unlike Mass Effect, which solely only focuses on action, AP has the stealth gameplay which requires LOTS more of work in the AI department Regarding AI issues, indeed it would be better if Obsidian could continue polishing it. Flaws noted are (The ones stamped with a star are integral to the AI features): -AIs not actively seeking for cover* -Not flanking often enough* -Should take initiative to use melee stance against player if its close enough to break the player's bearing -No capability to alert others or call in reinforcements
