  1. youd be surprised. i see a bunch of people who dislike the game still hanging around the forums.
  2. true gamer. although i tend to only play rpgs and the occasional resident evil type game.
  3. this is where id like them to make better use of the ebon hawk storage compartments. have a limit on what you and your npc party can carry, then youd be forced to either sell the rest or leave the rest aboard the ebon hawk.
  4. if you read the kotor forums here youd have your answer.
  5. well if you play a male, it is implied . if that is the case, and judging how old she is (or seems), id put the exile at atleast late 30's, possibly even early to mid 40's. especially considering how mira always jokes about how youre too old and could be her father, and shes probably in her 20's.
  6. exactly. my contention with the current system isnt that im pissed that i cant get all the uber loot in the same places everytime or that, in theory, its a bad system. but rather, it should have been tweaked or modified so that certain conditions apply. for example, dead bodies. you shouldnt be able to find uber weapons on lowly thugs, especially when theyre attacking you with one kind of weapon, and you loot their corpse to find a different kind. if they wanted to use a random loot generator, they should have just done so for things like footlockers, metal bins, and backpacks. but corpses should have had only equipment that the person was carrying.
  7. but if you saw that comment about my not using master speed, you also saw in that same thread where i explained what i meant by "experiencing no bugs or glitches". but hopefully now you know my definition of "no real bugs or glitches". not that you asked or even care, but ill also explain why i dont consider a minor broken quest or some force powers not working nothing major in terms of bugs or glitches. basically i havent played a single game out there that didnt have these kind of problems. i experienced similiar things (ie. quests getting broken or not triggered for some reason) in kotor as well, but i didnt really hold it against that game either because ive come to expect minor things like that from video games. the only things i will hold against a game are major things that either a)ruin a major part of the story (ie. vampire: bloodlines' messed up leopold society bug), b)ruin the gaming experience (ie. massive slowdowns or stuttery/glitchy framerates), or c)things that completely make me unable to play, like crashes, freezes, unable to load, etc. since i didnt experience any of those 3, i dont consider for my game, any "bugs or glitches" and thus wont hammer the game like i did to bloodlines. thats not to say these bugs dont exist. but only i never saw the ones that fall into my 3 letter categories.
  8. you do know that lucas has people to look over all this stuff right? i think its an exaggeration to think george lucas reads over every single word of every single page of everything that is made with the star wars name on it.
  9. I thought you claimed to have not experienced bugs or glitches? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> reading comprehension isnt your strong point is it? you commented on this in another thread and clarified that in terms of getting no "bugs or glitches", i was referring to blackscreens, freezings, or shutdowns. in otherwords game stopping bugs. being unable to complete a minor quest isnt a game stopper. hopefully you actually pay attention this time so that you wont be stalking me in every thread i post in and saying "i thought you said you had no bugs or glitches". btw, if you hate the game, why are you still here? i understand complaining about the game a few times when you first get it, but youve wasted close to 300 posts since its release complaining about it and just being a general nuissance. maybe its just me, but if i dislike a game as much as you do, i do the common sense thing and...oh i dont know....leave the forums and never play the game again?
  10. yes. but unfortunately as soon as anyone praises the game, all the bashers come into the thread and tell them how theyre wrong and how much the game sucked.
  11. i cant say for sure, but it would appear so if the same thing happened to you. the quest works when davrel doesnt tag along (i killed him instead both other times). it was only when i convinced him that helping me kill the zakkeg will gain him his honor back that the quest seemed to mess up.
  12. probably nwn. i wasnt expecting much out of it since it was the first rpg i had ever played and didnt have high expectations. overall i had a fun time, even if the oc wasnt as good as it could have been.
  13. i had this happen one time with me as well. i think its a bug. the only thing that i did different when it happened was i allowed davrel to "prove" himself and tag along and fight the zakkeg with me. he died in the battle, so i dont know if that messed up the quest, but i could never talk to the sergeant about it either. my other 2 play thrus i had no trouble with it. as i said, the only time i had what you described was when i brought davrel along with me.
  14. i would have rather they used the system where the enemy you just killed would drop the weapon they were using against you. thus, if they were using a lightsaber, they drop a lightsaber. if they were using a repeating blaster, they drop a repeating blaster. i just found it weird when someone was attacking me with a stun baton (or something like that) and when i killed them and looted their corpse i end up with a sith war blade or something similar. i also found lightsabers on characters that had no business having them.
  15. thats what it does? hunh. when i clicked it it didnt seem to actually do anything noticeable. *shrugs* i guess thats why i like "offensive" force powers that you can see, such as force storm or force whirlwind, so that i can tell theyre working.
  16. imo, one of the most useless powers. it never really worked, and the rare instances the monster didnt save against it, it just took off some hit points without actually "controlling" the beast. i figured it would work similar to how confusion works on human enemies. but unless im doing something wrong, it doesnt.
  17. i would never have guessed. "
  18. yeah, i was wondering the same thing myself. the guy asks for reasons from those who enjoyed the game, then goes about telling them theyre wrong. its like one of those "ill tell you what your opinion is" posts.
  19. usually, id say go to dantoine first, but dont complete the planet. if youre female you can pick up disciple, then leave before the kinrath caves and go elsewhere. as a male, id rather go to nar shadaa to pick up a couple of party members and for overall relatively easy combat.
  20. i take it you bought it?
  21. it depends on one thing and one thing only: . however, if that is not the case, and its a brand new story, then i really hope its a good 100 or 200 years later so that it can be a truly new story and wont have to worry about continuity of the previous two games.
  22. I wasn't a fan of the headgear or armor, but I thought the robes were a HUGE improvement over kotor1. i thought the robes looked fantastic this time around.
