  1. Yes I don't think too many people will argue that it was elaborate, and it was fairly good too what was there, most of it. As for the roleplaying, it's about as much roleplaying as you make it yourself. It might be more a game of discovery and self discovery than roleplaying, but an awesome experience none the less.
  2. Yes, the radial menu was quite a challenge for spellcasters
  3. Fallout. Never got into BG1 (loved BG2 though) My preference would be something like: Fallout > BG2 > Fallout2 > BG
  4. Mine was http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...9309entry9309 Mkreku started a poll asking which BIS game was best... That was Feb. 21st. Can't remember if Kotor2 had been renamed from Project X to Project Delaware at the time...
  5. In chronological order of purchase: Deathtrap Dungeon Tomb Raider III (and IV, shame on me for being naive) Master of Orion 3 NWN Gold Box thingy (NWN+SOU) Mind you, there is a lot of crap out there. I think I managed to stay clear of most of it though (except the above mentioned) :">
  6. Having recently purchased Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines I started the usual way when getting a new game. A quick browse through the options to look, what character would fit me best. The voices recommended Malkavian, so Gorth the sireless Malkavian childe set out to do stuff true to his nature. I enjoy the game a lot, although it is a bit tricky to communicate every now and then. People don't really seem to understand me. Anyway, having progressed as far as The Society of Leopold and discovered that I needed a patch very badly, I sort of remembered a lot of fun things along the way, that we Malkavians pass the time with: Talking to stop signs. One particular offensive one ended up as a mortal enemy In downtown L.A. you run across a corpse on a spit, somewhat up in the air. You can jump up and headbutt his feet and watch him jingle. Hilarious In The Confession club, you can do stagediving. Jump from the balcony down on top of the dancers and walk a bit on their heads The singer on the stage in The Empire Hotel is fake. Take away her microphone and she will keep singing. Obviously a playback, not a real performer I stepped out of back door in Hollywood and fell through the ground. Quite an experience watching L.A. disappearing above you... and you just keep falling... what a trip! Listening to the T.V. guys stupid jokes. Tuna and the Chef, yeah right... If anybody can think of more Malkavian things to do, feel free to add to the list
  7. Looking at the guys (and girls (and wookies)) to the right, I would have preferred a slightly humorus " grumpy old men of the republic" movie instead of the episode I-III crap
  8. But, it had Milla Jovovich in it!
  9. Lets see... 2000$ for... how much laptop was it that money got you ? Oh, nothing ? Well, then I would say just about any other vendor might potentially give you more laptop for your money
  10. Yup, Vangelis has made the odd good soundtrack here and there. I loved both his Bladerunner and 1492 soundtracks
  11. You got a hamster named Boo ?
  12. Yes, damn those tight fitting cat suits. I knew there was a sinister purpose for them dressing like that...
  13. Go down to your local library and search for the topics male insecurity, violence, adrenaline and sexual stimulation. There ought to be several shelves of books...
  14. Yes, nice The gaming industri isn't just a walk on roses... "As for designing at EA, let
  15. My little brother has one. Perhaps I should get him a few games for his birthday... :D
  16. I tried RE a long time ago... sorry, but it played (and looked) pretty awful on a PC. I sort of imagine that it would have looked better on a TV and definitely played a lot better with a game pad (not the rather awkward keyboard layout that couldn't be remapped) I haven't given RE2 and RE3 a try, but I "suspect" they would have similar issues. Thats why I think a decent port would be nice
  17. List is now even shorter. Looks very bleak for the up and coming winter season... Buy a console :D Honestly, I'm not really tempted to do that. The games that I do like, seems to end up on PC anyway (and I got a high end system). Of couse, I wouldn't mind if they did a decent PC port of the Resident Evil games...
  18. Perhaps he is not very good at spelling when typing fast ?

  20. Never tried the GTA games, so it's not much of a comparison. Diablo however is no more a crpg than Unreal Torunament. It just has a slightly odd POV...
  21. I was interested in that game until I was shown the content of the EULA (which I'm pretty sure is not shown on the front side of the box to the poor suckers who actually bought the game) In essence, you sign off all rights to privacy and allow Valve to gather any and all information they see fit, related to their game or not and use as they please. Things like that makes me think only twice about buying software that requires on-line registration (twice = skipping it or a no-activation crack)
  22. A shame they don't make Coca Cola like they used to. I.e. Cocaine and Caffeeine mixed up in a syrup of distilled red wine... or something to that effect
