I know the place you are talking about. None of the dogs really stood out in a crowd though and early in the game I used the "Take All" button, gathering bits and pieces of different animals, so maybe I was just unlucky and none was there. I've changed my approach and only take "go and find" type assignments when I actually have the xyz in my inventory Since I can't carry unlimited loot, I've had to made some hard decisions too now, like what to keep, what to stash in boxes around in the country side, in case i need it later and finally, just to leave stuff behind... A packrat like me really hates leaving stuff behind >_ I ran into an armed gang of guys guarding a big gate leading north. I assume I have to do something elsewhere to progress past that point. Currently I am stuck at the lower levels of Agroprom though.

So, finding a bit of time in between sessions of Europa Universalis, I play Stalker. Let me start by saying that, I love this game. Very much so. Unfortunately, liking a game does note equal excelling at it. Two problems so far, one insignificant and one that is more tricky. The trader want's a dog part, not just from any dog, but a pseudodog. I've killed every canine I've come across so far, yet no matching dog part (I got some tails I think, but not what he wanted). Any particular good places to go looking for that particular breed? That was the insignificant part. Not sure what happens long term when failing these go and fetch missions. More tricky is how the heck do you survive the lower parts of the Agroprom research facility? Especially the regular army guys (at least that is what I think they are) are making my life miserable. I survive the tentacled guy with the "predator" style cloaking skill allright (a bit of running, dodging and emptying my shotgun where I think his head is). But the army guys are very good at creating a killzone at the doorway I have to pass through, no matter what I try, they always end up being able to bring two guys guns to bear on me. Do I have to pass through these basements to progress the game (part of "Kill Strelok") or can I just skip this part and navigate around them and go elsewhere? Should I just spend some of my precious handgrenades instead? I had great fun with these when defending the first stalker camp at Garbage. I really need to practise my headshot skills...

One of my favourite parts of the forum guidelines: It seems like this topic has outlived it's intention and through the heated debate of posters rather than ideas add to the global average temperature. Sad attempt at witty closing remark, I know

Tell that to Bethesda! I hope you are right. I believe the world would be a better place without dependancy on fossile fuel. With the improved infrastructure and communication networks, I would love to see the number of cars in the world reduced signifciantly too because of a lesser need for individual mobility (i.e. pendling back and forth to work). Mayby that makes me a hippie in some ways Actually, my main concern wasn't really so much the search for fuel, as you mentioned it is for a limited time only, but things that happened in our own "backyard" just on the other side of the iron curtain (back when I lived in Denmark). Scary images of chemical wastelands full of byproducts of a society focused on productivity and little else. These are the things I fear might be downplayed if environmental conscience becomes a naughty word.

I am sort of of two minds regarding the whole "global warming" thing. On one hand, I am not convinced by the arguments, no matter how passionate and emotional, that the rise of average global termperature (which I do acknowlegde is happening) is caused by CO2 exclusively. Has anybody calculated what the effect of deforestation has on the reflection/absorbtion of solar energy etc.? On the other hand, I fear that losing the argument will be perceived in some circles as a Carte "License to Drill" Blanche to go completely overboard in ignoring environmental issues in general. Sort of using this as a precedens and point back and say, see you were wrong then, you are wrong now and then turn out the powers knows what crap in our every day lives :ninja10: A good cause but the wrong issue so to say.

Lets try this once... Subject title is: Al Gore get the Nobel Peace prize. Not "mutual head bashing" gentlemen, thats for behind closed doors at institutions of higher learning and certain countries parliamentary debates

Do you also go for things like metamagic feats, spell focus and spell penetration when playing a mage? I usually do everything wrong when playing a mage and can't keep hands off the physical combat stuff... which is why I prefer not to play my main character as such. I am just no good at it. It might be useful for me to listen to other peoples experiences for building the npcs in a game though

I feel for you Azure79. Happened to my parents car quite a few years ago. Although the lowlifes didn't get anything for their efforts, the advertising that claimed it was hard to steal was right. The dash board (or should I say smash board) was in a pretty bad shape, but the car stereo had refused to budge. I don't get it though, how much can a violently removed car stereo be worth to anyone? You would think it would be easier to put the same effort into a regular job.

Try the local chicken vindaloo when you get there. Stay away from the traffic in New Delhi. Don't take the train. An elephant has right of way. Stay safe

In case you haven't, try and see if you can find the original chaos rule books in one of those old second hand book stores. "Slaves to Darkness" deals with the aspects of Khorne and Slaanesh, whereas "The Lost and the Damned" deals with the other two opposites Nurgle and Tzeentch. Both are hefty 100+ page hard cover books with plenty of background fluff, from the nature of the warp (which is not unlike the planescape universe where belief can dictate matter) to the creation of the human emperor and why he was created. The Necron rulebook also provides a lot of good background material as to why and how the chaos gods were created in the struggle between the C'than/Necrontyr and "The Old Ones" Edit: Sloppy spelling

I can't quite figure that one out either. Once, I had severe lag and stuttering on Dantooine (the grassy plains) and the Habitat part of Telos station. Installing the game a year later, it was gone and ran smoothly. The only change I can imagine is, that my drivers got updated in the meantime (the old drivers was probably 3 years old at the time, yes, shame on me). The only place(s) where it stutters now are on Nar Shaddaa, in each of the places where the "swoop bike" can appear when you have fixed it and can move around with it. As if the area trigger somehow goes haywire and does some crazy checking when you get it in sight.

What are your sources GDM, because frankly, your utter and complete unwillingness to accept that there may be more to an issue than your own (very) narrow perspective is scary. The second half of that post is quite well documented by just about anything (except perhaps Fox News). Try looking through things from BBC to Israeli news archives and your worldview might suffer irrepairable damage. -
As so many other things in this game, there isn't really a "right" or a "wrong". It would feel more natural for a light side jedi to do nice stuff and support the republic though. Alternatively, if you want to score some dark side points, you can give them to the trader and the woman with the crystal. If I remember correctly, the crystal is only of use for dark siders though.

It is one of those rulings that has a distinct odour to it... Judges voted 5-3 that they can't secede. The 5 votes were coincidentally the judges appointed by Abraham Lincoln. Go figure

Can we have at least a MotB spoiler section?

You can just add them again from your party selection screen (assuming you are talking about the mission on Citadel Station). I can't remember if you also need to talk to the Ithorian guy first, to formally finish the mission? -

With a bit of luck, you haven't sold all your Ion guns yet (aratech droid vapouriser and whatever they are called). Also, destroy droid jedi powers (or force lightning) makes life much easier. You might also appreciate the usually significant number of personal energy shields available in the game Before engaging droids, equip non jedi with weapons designed for droid killing (either made on the workbench, found or purchased). Activate personal shields (those that protect against energy), use things that boosts your speed (drugs or jedi powers), say some famous last words and charge them. Concentrate all your fire against one enemy at a time until he is dead, then concentrate on the next etc. The only place I found particularly hard, was the center of the ship with all the gun turrets. That is, until I realised I didn't have to go there before I picked up the exile
