  1. My sentiments exactly As Hurlshot said, looks more like an intellectual property list than a to-do list.
  2. I have a danish accent, that is why people always ask me if I am from Germany
  3. Hey, easy now (don't forget your ball!) Fair enough question, just not sure that it came across the right way though? I think he answered your original question with something that could be written in short as "Personal Preferences"
  4. Sounds interesting Jade Empire never did sound like something I could be bothered to play, but this one managed to make me at the very least curious.
  5. Nah, Margaritas are fine, although I usually measure the quality of a person by his choice of Cognac As for a name for Walsinghams innovation: The Walsingh Mathilda? Yeah, yeah, I know, been down here for too long already
  6. I tend to agree with my nordic friend here... I know the thread title says "feedback appreciated", but I suspect that was feedback regarding the Engine itself, not the comparative merits of 2d and 3d engines
  7. ...yea, I's too...fer the 14th, methinks, time... One time you awoke obsessed with the idea that *I* was your skull and chased me around the Spire trying to shatter and devour me. Luckily, you were crushed by a passing cart in the street. ...ahh, good times... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... Yeah, those were good times indeed
  8. Sorry Krezack, no matter how hard I try to wrap my brain(s!...) around the concept, I run into an image of Grim Fandango and my line of thought doesn't get any further. Time to do some "Free your mind" exercises
  9. Yeah, calling it "a spoiler thread" would be a bit of an exaggeration, wouldn't it?
  10. The only drink I've gone out of my way to get, was the Singapore Sling. I went to the bar at Raffles Hotel in Singapore to get it
  11. I don't know if Mass Effect is sci-fi (I suspect so), but there hasn't really been a lot of genuine sci-fi crpgs released the last two decades  Edit: Buck rogers was just a much a space-fantasy game as the Star Wards games.
  12. It signed up for the early retirement plan Rolling Stones - Paint it Black.
  13. Happy Birthday Tarna!

No matter how old you are, there is always somebody older than yourself ;)

  16. I liked the system in JA2. You get damaged in combat, you start bleeding to the point of death if first aid isn't given. You can't "heal" during combat missions, only stop dying. Recovery can be a very long and slow process with characters missing out on a lot of the action. Only way to speed things up is in a proper hospital or with a character with medic skills dedicating their time to "doctoring" you (i.e. putting both patient(s) and medic out of commission for a while). It does of course help that you have a lot of characters to choose from unlike fps games.

    LOST

I now see why this series is called "Lost"... No, I haven't actually seen any of it.
  18. If the programming was done right there wouldn't be a need for QA. Okay, you've officially just dropped from 'hooting peenhole' to 'jibbering idiot'. He does have a point you know. Problem is just that he places the cause of faulty programming squarely on the shoulders of the programmer. Programs can have bugs for a number of reasons, errors in the logic on a design level, poorly written specs, sloppy programmers, simple accidents (misread specs, typos etc.), poor QA procedures, bad time constraints (a management problem), unskilled programmers, poor task coordination/project management... a long list really It can be the programmers fault, it can also be any number of other people involved in the process' fault.
  19. Yeah, she probably misunderstood the weird noises you were making while looking at her... As a small act of sympathy, I decided to catch a cold today. Not sure what to blame really. Time to resort to the good old tried and tested remedies, like hot camomille tea and xo cognac
  20. Boo?
  21. They sure are. And it looks good from the developer diaries so far.
  22. well, I checked and it just doesn't say....apparently, the firm he is with is like a subcontractor of NCSoft, the makers of Guild Wars, City of Heroes, etc. I wonder if it is a pre-existing title like that or some new deal.... I was being sarcastic. I meant MMO's in general, no one in particular. Never played one because they sound incredibly boring to me
  23. Europa Universalis: Rome Europa Universalis III (covering 1453-1789 AD) quickly became a favourite of mine. Looking forward to what they do with the roman era.
  24. A bit of JA2 (1.13) and Europa Universalis III (as Muscowy, now unified as Russia). I think Paradox Interactives next game (EU III with a roman flavour) is very much on my look forward to list
  25. I keep hearing about this MMO game... I should look it up on Wikipedia some day
